Had dinner with my coworkers and the food was amazing! Please make reservations or you'll be waiting for the inside is not that big. Definitely worth visiting!!

It's so rare these days to find a great hotel-attached restaurant in a nice hotel that still has an affordable brunch menu. Il Modo at the Kimpton in Downtown Fort Worth is that rare find! Sunday brunch doesn't limit you to just the breakfast menu, so if you want a more substantial meal, go for it. Hubby had the Steak and eggs. It comes with their roasted potatoes, but he was able to substitute avocado. I got their burrata appetizer with sourdough slices and this delicious cherry compote along with their roasted Brussels Sprouts. They roast pearl onions in with the Sprouts and it kicks it up a notch or two. Our server, I believe her name was Faith, was definitely a busy woman, but she always made the time to check in and get us the things we needed. Valet parking is available for $10 with a stamp from the restaurant and they were quick even with us being there at hotel check out time. We'll definitely be back.

Food: the calamari was really good with the dipping sauce not sure what the cream sauce was but it was good. The marinara sauce has a kick to it. The arugula and the peppers that it came with were so good. I had the brunch pizza. It wasn't bad but wasn't great a little on the saltier side. Service: they took care of us. Ambience: nice place had a bar more of a lounge vibe. I would try to go back again.

The service here is so great! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and made this visit a great birthday experience. We got the Tuscan sunset and the il lago for our drinks. Both 10/10. The meatballs were soft and flavorful and the sauce had a nice little kick. We got the sea food capellini which was also great. It came with clams, shrimp, and calamari and made for a great combo. We also got a tiramisu and you could really taste the espresso in it which I loved. It was over all a great experience down to the food and service. This did not affect my experience just adding a tip for parking! If you are doing vallet, tell them 20 minutes before you leave to retrieve the car especially on a weekend because you might have to wait a while. There are also many walkable parking spots near by as well.

    Linguini Carbonara

Linguine Carbonara! Legit AMAZING. Pasta was SUPER FRESH. The Burrata was delicious. I do prefer it with tomato and basil, but the fruit is an interesting twist. My server was perfect. Very polite and just the right amount of attentive. The interior is chic, clean, modern. Because it's downtown, parking is a challenge. I went on a Monday and parked about a block away at a meter and strolled 6 minutes to the front door. I've added this to my top two Italian restaurants in Fort Worth.

Il Modo is small but nice and cozy little restaurant. We went on Valentine's Day so both the kitchen and the bar were backed up and slow. The server was very nice and professional. We started with crispy calamari and grilled octopus and they were the stars on the evening. They were delicious. We ordered braised short rib, Pappardelle, and diver scallop risotto. The short rib and Pappardelle were under seasoned. The diver scallop risotto was slightly undercooked. The food was good but just few problems. It was a lovely night out for Valentine's Day.

My lady and I were feeling in the mood for Italian and decided to come here, as it was close to where we live and seemed to have good reviews. We were both very pleasantly surprised. The drinks were very good and the service was top notch. As a New Yorker who has been on the search for a good pizza since moving to Texas several years ago, I think the pizza left much to be desired, but that's okay. The meatballs were excellent and the veal cheek was exceptional. Overall would definitely recommend and we will be back.

My granddaughter is visiting and I wanted her to see some of Fort Worth so we walked around near Sundance Square. She wanted Italian and found il Modo in the Kimpton Harper hotel. It was a short walk down a lovely street. Lunch on this Saturday wasn't busy so we were seated right away. I tried the Aperol Spritz $11 and it was really nice. We shared some calamari $18 (not real tasty but not overly bland) and Meatballs $16 (larger than I expected and a little too much sauce, which is better than dry). I loved the seating. I prefer to sit in a booth but my granddaughter grabbed it. My seat was so comfortable that I didn't mind it a bit! We could see a bit of the street out the windows, really nice. She ordered a margherita pizza $15 but it seemed each time she tried to pick up a slice, all the toppings came off, so it was a little clumsy to eat but she enjoyed the flavors. We each enjoyed dessert - I had the cannoli $9. It was good and the fruit served with it was fresh. She ordered the creme brulee $10 and I had a taste - yum! The custard was lovely and the topping crusted perfectly. I appreciate a little more attention when a restaurant isn't busy and our server checked on us often. I believe even the manager passed by and asked how everything was. So I have to give this visit 5 stars - they checked all my boxes for good food, good service and a nice atmosphere. I live in Dallas, I need to check if we have an il Modo here!

Located on the ground floor of the Kimpton Harper hotel, this restaurant gave me the cafe vibe more than a restaurant. I've only had the chance to have breakfast there but their menu includes brunch items. I ordered the Il Modo Frittata. Was worried about the goat cheese --- if it would have a lot of it, but was assured by the server that it's not overpowering and she was right! I actually liked this dish a lot! It had that sweet taste from the squash and savory from the goat cheese. The goat cheese was served crumbled on top, so you can pick it out if you don't want too much of it (or you could probably ask the kitchen to serve it on the side). All the ingredients worked well together so don't dismiss goat cheese if you haven't tried it. The sage added a nice finishing taste to the frittata. Served with roasted potatoes. Staff were friendly. Service was a bit slow, but I wasn't in a hurry that morning so all good.

We had an outstanding breakfast at Il Modo. Hubby ordered the Il Modo breakfast and I tried a piece of his bacon. Soooo good. I ordered the shakshuka and Tuscan potatoes. Both were amazing! I could eat those delicious potatoes everyday! Our server and hostess were over the top sweet and helpful. I really like the atmosphere and think it would be a great place for date night and dinner.

An absolute must try! A hidden gem in downtown Fort Worth. Valet for $10 in front, the hostess was very kind and helpful when I called for a last minute reservation. They were very accommodating and the food was perfect!

    Calamari and Meatballs

We came here mainly for convenience since we were staying at the Harper which is attached to the restaurant. We started out with the Calamari and Meatballs, we've had better calamari elsewhere, it honestly sounded good, but kind of regretted ordering it. The meatballs on the other had were delicious. The sauce was so fresh and they were so tender! By the time we ready ready to order any entrees, I had already been close to being full, so my husband and I shared the Branzino and got a side of potatoes and some kale which isn't pictured. The fish was good, I enjoyed it a lot, my husband wasn't too keen on it. The potatoes were a little bit of a miss for me, it was overly salty and needed a little more time to cook. I love the side of kale though. We also got some Tiramisu to take back to our room, and just like the calamari, I've had better elsewhere. Plus it just seemed like it was a bit sloppy when it came to boxing it up.

    Yes

Plenty of street parking around but also parking garages. It's part of a hotel so you can always park there.

There's several items on the menu that looked amazing and I couldn't figure out if I wanted a Benedict or avocado toast, so I guess I'll have to go back and give it another try! I did get one solo sweet potato pancake to go and then I got the classic breakfast with three eggs. everything was perfectly cooked (like I specified with my modifications, which sometimes throws restaurants off and I know it's a little complicated) to ask for crispy bacon and crispy hashbrowns, but it's just how I am. I was very grateful that the butter was actually melted on the bread unlike other local breakfast places around town where the bread comes out cold and they give you the butter on the side. Oak milk latte was awesome on ice - very cute booths and tables inside, very clean inside. Had an amazing server who was prepared to answer all of my questions about drinks and the way that food was served and prepared and also gave food recommendations. Given how popular the place appears to be, one might expect the operation to be a bit more prepared for the crowds. As for the food, it was perfectly ordinary. Not bad, not memorable, and certainly not worth planning your day around. If you've eaten breakfast before, you've likely had something very similar. The atmosphere resembles a busy public kitchen more than a relaxing café. Conversations compete with clattering dishes, making it difficult to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or breakfast. Overall, I would keep this place as a backup option rather than a destination. It's the kind of restaurant that becomes useful when everywhere else is full.

The fries were well seasoned however not all was good evenly and some over cooked and some undercooked. The steak was okay, the sears were bad and so was the overall flavor. We opened with a cocktail from the bar, which set a high bar for what followed -- unfortunately, not everything cleared it. The Deviled Eggs with Spicy Best Maid Pickles arrived looking the part, four to an order, but tasted like they'd forgotten to show up to their own party. Bland, flat, and in desperate need of seasoning, we reached for the salt shaker, which helped, but shouldn't have been necessary. The pickles, to their credit, were doing their absolute best and were genuinely the only flavor happening on that plate. Skip these. The pickles deserve better supporting cast. The Cheeseburger with Wasp Sauce on a potato bun, however, is a different story entirely. We ordered it medium, half expecting the kitchen to interpret that however it pleased, but it arrived cooked exactly as requested, which felt like a small victory worth celebrating. The Wasp Sauce is a mystery worth solving, and the house-made chips that come alongside are fresh, crisp, and dangerously snackable. Pro tip: order a side of ranch for dipping. You're welcome. We also added a side of fries, which were equally excellent. No notes. Little Red Wasp has real charm, great energy, a fun bar, and a cheeseburger worth crossing Main Street for. Just steer clear of the deviled eggs and order the chips with abandon.

The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy.
