In Orlando with the family for Christmas vacation and looking for some non amusement park food. Googled this restaurant and made reservations because they could seat a party of 8 in 30 minutes even though it was in the opposite direction of our AirBnB. Very home like dining with incredible homemade dishes. Tony was so gracious and made us feel like regulars. All 8 of us gobbled up out dinners and were really glad we found this gem. Tony even let us take his salt and pepper shakers with us since we didn't have one at our AirBnB. Highly recommend this restaurant for amazing food and even better service. read more

This place is a hidden gem. The food is so good. No matter what you order, do your taste buds a favor and order the gnocchi with pink sauce. I had a call in order and they put it all together when I arrived so it was hot and fresh. Very friendly staff. The place is small and would be great for a couple or maybe a group of up to 10. I'm told they have really good pizza also. Finish your meal with a cannoli and you will be happy. Great little Italian restaurant makes me feel like I'm at my grandmas house getting a home cooked meal our first time trying this place , ordered the calamari which was good, the caprese salad which was very light and fresh, And my favorite thing we tried here which was the eggplant caponata it was one of the BEST eggplant caponata I've ever had, it was a little sweet but not too sweet, it was fresh and the Italian bread was fresh toasted and crunchy overall the best appetizer there in my opinion and my new favorite! We ordered a grilled chickened that broccoli which looked good, the zuppa de pesch, the snapper franchise which was ok , and the Vitello Alla Pizzaiola which was very berry good! Each dinner came with a salad which was very light fresh and their homemade Italian dressing was delicious! Overall definitely recommend this small mom and pop Italian restaurant! First impressions set the bar very high. I was promptly greeted and seated by very friendly staff. The lunch menu looked very promising and I actually had a moment of indecision. It was difficult to decide with all of the great choices and reasonable prices. I finally decided on chicken marsala which worked in my favor because it came with a side of pasta with marinara sauce. The chicken marsala was fabulous with a perfect ratio of mushrooms sauce and chicken. The pasta on the other hand was not a hit because the sauce was less than fabulous. The meal is a generous portion which also comes with fresh bread and a fresh garden salad. Even though this is a relatively small restaurant I came at the peak of lunchtime and the server was trying to cover about 10 tables by himself. All of my food came out quickly and was an enjoyable meal overall but extra attention by a server would have increased my rating. read more

I had no idea what to expect coming in here, but after seeing the pics on yelp and checking out their menu, I knew I had to give it a try. Lately I've kinda been going around town and eating at Mom and Pop Italian places to get a taste for what Orlando really has to offer before I travel up north again where they say that "The real Italian food" exists outside of Italy. Honestly, my expectations were completely and totally blown away. I mean, I had an idea that it would be good seeing as the place was packed on a Wednesday but man, when my taste buds assimilated the flavors of that pasta in white clam sauce, I was - this close to standing up on the booth to sing opera. HOLY COW was it delicious. I'm sitting there eating like there was a fire I needed to put out and I hardly ever do that, but it was deliciously hot right out of the skillet, and the flavors!!! Just incredible flavors melding together so beautifully! The moment the waitress placed the plate in front of me, the first thing that I could immediately smell was the garlic and the wine in the sauce. The clams were meaty and fresh and just incredible. That white sauce is phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and take a piece of bread to sop up all the juices, leave the plate in such a state that the dishwasher guy is gonna wonder what the hell happened. Oh man, I know I'm going on and on about it, but it was pretty damn incredible. Service was excellent, I think it was the owner that came by while I was eating for my life, must have heard me slurping away like I was eating pho and asked: "you alright?" When I finally came up for air, I wiped my mouth and told him "This is incredible." and it was. I'm so glad the waitress recommended this dish because I came close to getting just regular spaghetti and meatballs and I'm sure that would have been delicious but this was ... I'll start off by admitting that I'm not a full blooded Italian-American. That being said, much of my childhood was spent with my maternal grandma's side of the family, and they were all full blooded Italian-Americans. Every Sunday, we would have huge family dinners at my grandparents' house, and we ate the most delicious food ever. This has made me a little snobby toward Italian restaurants. She's Italian-American, so I took her word for it when she said it was good. The decor is simple but nice. There wasn't a wait for table, but then again, we were eating there on a Wednesday night, so I don't know how busy they get on weekends. Our waiter was friendly and regularly checked up on us to see how our night was going. I decided to keep it simple, so I ordered penne pasta with meatballs. My order also came with a side salad and complimentary garlic bread. Both the salad and bread were great, but I had to hold back a bit because I wanted to save my appetite for my main dish. And sweet Jews for Jesus, my meal was delicious! The pasta was cooked just right, the meatballs tasted fresh and not frozen, and the marinara sauce was to die for. And this place doesn't mess around when it comes to portion sizes. I finished off about half of my plate before I decided I was going to need a to-go box. My friend ordered a calzone that was twice the size of her head. And let me tell you, that pasta was still awesome when I reheated for lunch the day after. I look forward to the next time I return here. The menu is diverse but not overloaded with too many options. Next time you're in the mood for some Italian food, give Il Pescatore a try. We started off with a very friendly and attentive server. The menu was well laid out and prices were very reasonable. The bread was fresh and we ordered right away. I got the fettuccine Alfredo, Debbie got a eggplant dish, (Eggplant Rollatini). The salad came right out and we both liked it. Again, our server was both pleasant and attentive. But at the end of the day, we both didn't really care for the food. I'm giving them a 4 because other than our personal taste, which we were custom to a favorite Itialian Restaurant that recently closed after 30 years, (LIDO'S ), it seemed reasonable and fair to not penalize them with just two dishes. The best Italian food in all of Orlando. This restaurant is the legacy of a generation of amazing Italian cooking, and it shows. The owner, Dritan, is among the old guard of Italian restaurant owners. You'll always see him working the front, in the kitchen, bussing tables, etc. The place is small, quaintly decorated, and has a long history. Those red chairs and booths have been there for 20+ years. The pizza is spectacular. The thin crust is always perfectly cooked with the crisp bottom and melted cheese. I've found it so good, it's hard for me to branch out and order anything else. The sauce has a pleasant sweetness to it. Order extra and use it for dipping throughout whole meal. Other favorite dishes include calamari, calzone, and stromboli. Il Pescatore, with its rich tastes and long history, is somewhere I'll be frequenting many years to come. read more

My friend told me about this place and prefaced it with "it's the only place Donnie goes when he's feeling homesick." Donnie is her husband, and he's also from Italy and all I've ever heard is Il Pescatore is the most incredible Italian fare you can get in Orlando. So I finally gave this place a shot and the food was fantastic. The place itself is a bit low key and not your typical white table cloth, 8 forks and 4 knifes type digs. They let the food shine from the start of the meal. Good prices for what you get, the servers are totally authentic, and everything comes out quickly. We started with the Pomodori Caprera. Simple, fresh and lovely. You can taste the quality in just the olive oil alone. Our meals came with a salad and the house garlic bread. Both tasty and perfectly balanced. The chopped garlic on the bread was soft and buttery, roasted to perfection. For the main corse I ordered the Pollo Di Stefano and it came with a side of spaghetti and red sauce. My girlfriend got the Gnocchi Piamontese and she thought it was great; finished the whole thing. Okay, so I have mixed feelings about this review because four weeks ago I was in Venice, Italy and so in writing this review I have the experience of that food in the back of my mind, which is _such_ an unfair bias. I think if I didn't live in Europe or have the "real" Italian food experience of Venice, I wouldn't know any better and think this place is decent for Italian food. But, I have experienced eating pasta in Italy, and those memories and tastes are unforgettable. So with that caveat in mind, on with my review and experience. I challenged my local friends to take me to the best local Italian (in their opinion) and they picked this restaurant. We were supposed to meet at 6:30 and since we only left work at 6:20, my brother called up the restaurant and asked them to let our friends know we'd be 20 mins late (we didn't have their cell ph nos). Got to the restaurant and found that our msg had not been delivered, and our friends had been wondering if we had forgotten or blown them off. So not a great start, but sitting down in the lovely back room, with beautiful murals of Italy that reminded us of Venice, and In the company of good friends, I was happy. We experienced lovely and cheerful if slightly forgetful service, in that both the wine and salad main that I had ordered did not come till my dining companions were well into their options. My salad when it did finally come had great vinaigrette and fresh leaves, but the mozzarella was super tasteless and in contrast to the salads in Italy which served me baby tomatoes, I had big fat spongy big red ones, that tasted pretty blah. I also tasted a bit of my brother's pasta and the sauce didn't taste as if it was made with olive oil or butter - it congealed similar to margarine and it was so thick and goopy, I was glad I hadn't ordered any pasta. Also the absolute worst tiramisu I have ever had in my life. The mascarpone tasted like sawdust whipped in lard and they must have used a cheap Marsala wine substitute which frankly tasted very chemically to me. So meal definitely did not end on a high note and I don't plan on coming back. read more

We were excited to give this place a go as we drive by all the time, upon entering it felt like no other Italian place in Orlando truly sophisticated and one of a kind. The host at the host stand was very friendly and seated us to the back room area. Everything was great until our waitress arrived, I couldn't tell if she was just having a rough day as I know we all have those from time to time but she didn't even tell us anything about the place or ask if we have been before she immediately went to our drink order and came back with the drinks and threw straws on the table and walked off not even asking if we had any questions about the menu or if we wanted to order any appetizers. She finally came back after a bit and we were ready to finally get to order our appetizers. We told her we wanted the bruschetta and she immediately walked off we never got to order the rest of our appetizers until we placed our actual dinner order. We ended up getting the garlic bread as well. For dinner I had the Manicotti and Greek salad and my husband had the pizza overall the food made up for the terrible experience we had with our waitress. I would still suggest this place in a heartbeat though as I know everyone has rough days and I hope that this was the case for our waitress. What an adventure this was! I was visiting my peeps in Orlando and this was the suggested venue for Italian. I had a bite of everyone's. My sister-in-law had a cheese stuffed chicken that was divine, a friend had veal piccata which was divoon, calamari arabiata also divoon, my veal and shrimp was out of this world. The server was a gorgeous brunette woman who was very attentive and personable. I wish I would have remembered her name. She was very, very beautiful and an excellent server. Long brown hair...oh well...Anyway, our friends from New York love the place. The owner came out and chatted with us. We had a fabulous time and the food was in huge quantities and de-LICIOUS! My husband took me to this incredible little Italian restaurant for my birthday. We were seated in a small room where there was a small group celebrating a birthday as well. The atmosphere and the place reminded me of small restaurants in my home country. The place was busy, but the waiter was very friendly and took our order within minutes of sitting down. We ordered an amazing appetizer and some vine to celebrate my birthday. The food in overall was just like homecooked. Everything was fresh and I had the BEST Linguine con Vongole (Pasta with clams). OMG! Talk about flavors and fresh clams! My husband had this incredible dish that had sausage and pasta which I was just incredible too. If you are a person that likes Seafood, pasta, a place where they treat you like family........this is the PLACE. Torn between 4 & 5 stars. I was craving Italian while vacationing in Orlando and couldn't stomach another overpriced, mediocre meal on I Drive. I found this restaurant on Yelp and it met my craving. Richie the manager is one of their best assets. He's friendly and welcoming. This is a "locals" restaurant and thats obvious because they know many customers by name. I am a fettuccine Alfredo snob, and Ritchie assures me that the sauce was homemade. It was SO good! My husband had the Stromboli, one daughter had stuffed shells, and the other two kiddos had pizza. Everyone was happy with their meals. All of this food cost less than we would have paid for 3 of us to eat in a tourist trap or chain restaurant. Highly recommend! read more

2018 Review 34/100 An AWESOME little mom & pop Italian restaurant. As someone with Italian heritage, dining here made me feel like I was getting some good eats from grandma's kitchen. The dining room itself almost feels like a grandma's house but it's kinda fabulous. The restaurant is small. If you're coming with a large group, definitely make a reservation. I came with a large group of coworkers for a birthday but we had called ahead so they were very accommodating. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Good luck deciding on what to order because everything on the menu sounds amazing. Spoiler alert: it is amazing. At least, everything we tried was. And the portion sizes are very, very generous. Come hungry or expect to bring leftovers home. A little neighborhood gem. I could not recommend more checking this place out if you have any love for Italian cuisine. read more

This is my favorite family restaurant in Orlando. I love carbs so it makes sense that this is a favorite. The taste is simple yet fantastic. The marinara is plate licking good. (thank god they give bread). All dinners are served with a small salad, I like the house dressing, and yummy warm garlic bread. The venue is very causal and family friendly, great for groups. I know they are open for lunch but I'm not sure how the menu changes from lunch to dinner. Their prices are very affordable. I've tried all the pasta dishes and the Tortellini a la Stefano is one of my favorites, lots of flavor! I saw that there is pizza on the menu I have yet to try that because my favorite pizza spot is Tomasino's Pizza in the colonial town center across the way. I may have to give it a try the next time I'm in there but I can't say no to the pasta dishes.. the struggles.. :/ The deserts are a must have. What a gem this restaurant is. I made a reservation to bring a group of 16 on a Friday night. When we arrived, it was very busy but we were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. We were served quickly and efficiently by 2 servers. Everyone in the group loved their food. What a lucky find. Server made a slick remark to my son who had his phone out as we waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order--not bring them--just take the drink order! My rule is electronics go away once the food arrives. I don't need the server to parent my kid. We had a cheese pizza, chicken piccata and calamari linguine. No apps, no dessert and the meal took more than 2.5 hours because for 60 minutes our server walked past us half a dozen times without checking on us! Didn't bring us boxes (got those from the busboy), only the check...which was not detailed and so faint I needed the only other employee I could find to explain why it had 10 prices on it when we only ordered 3 entrees and 2 drinks. After 15 more minutes of waiting and feeling like a prisoner, server never came to get my credit card and I had to go to the front of the restaurant to pay because I couldn't take it anymore! WOW! So my fiancé surprised me one date night and took me here because he knows I've been DYING for some amazing Italian food and let me tell you it did NOT disappoint! We were seated right away and our waiter was very attentive! Even though he really seemed like the only one! The prices for what you get are amazing! Even my fiancé said he wished he wouldn't gotten it! The creamy sauce was flavorful and the tortellini was cooked perffectly!
