The management is completely incompetent and argumentative. The manager said the employee was new and messed up. She offered me nothing to make up for their mistake and she argued with me about my order even though she wasn't the one who took it. The restaurant also has tons of roaches inside the eating area. I have been a customer since 1989, I had them carter my wedding in 1990. The food is really good the customer service stinks. I just placed an order with Sophia, I guess she could not hear real well. It is always loud in there when I place an order. I placed the order at 5:30, took 15 min to place it. Sophia was not a helpful person, she kept getting my order wrong, she kept adding items to my order that I did not want. I asked her name, she said it did not matter since she quit, I then asked for a manager, she gave me Jimeniz? I redid the order with her, and she had an attitude too. I asked her if it was true that Sophia had just quit, she ignored the question, I asked it again, she finally answered and said no she did not quit, so she lied. I do not like to be lied to as a customer, no one does. I almost did not place the order since they were so rude and totally unhelpful. Walked in to have dinner with family on Labor Day 2015. Several employees sitting on the counters, I was told to hold on while they finished their conversations in Spanish. After several minutes I was asked for my order as if we were an imposition.. My wife approached the counter and requested a damp towel to wipe our table and was told "no it's clean" The dining room was disgusting, the staff was rude and unmanaged. This is the second bad experience we have had here so we left without eating. This is the second time in 45 years I have ever had to leave a restaurant without eating. It was a terrible feeling to be invited to leave in Spanish as we walked out the door. Just a note to the owners of Il Primo, change is critical. This is not the way you started this restaurant, this establishment will not survive without proper management. My family will not return again, how many customers are you willing to lose? This pizza place is its own establishment and has been on the corner of Bell Road & Cave Creek Road since my high school days (ancient times). Not sure what took me so long to give it a try but better late then never! I went with the large well done peperoni pizza and medium wings. Let me tell you that the flavors were impressive and the pizza sauce is one of a kind! The ammonia on the wings were not overbearing and the wings were very crunchy and fresh. Where to start. Well, I called in my order and the woman was too distracted with whatever was going on at this location. She took my order, got my card info then hung up. Didn't repeat my order, didn't tell me how much, and didn't tell me how long it would take. I had to call back and find out. She also didn't ask me if I wanted ranch or bleu cheese with my wings. I had to tell her I wanted extra ranch. She charged my card twice. The delivery guy came with the food. I received a flat 2 liter of soda. It tasted like flat, cheap hair spray. I got undercooked and soggy wings. I asked him where the ranch and bleu cheese were and he said, "Oh it should be in the wing box." Um, no. Was not in there and why anyone would put ranch in a wing box is beyond me because everyone touches those ranch cups and that is not sanitary. I called the shop and the woman who answered the phone said it would take her driver 20 minutes to deliver the ranch and bleu cheese. I told her our food would be cold by then so to just refund me. I asked her if she could call her driver because maybe he had the ranch in his car and she said, "He doesn't have a phone. " but then she put me on hold and then came back on the line to say, "We just called him and he will come back to get the food. We will give you a refund." But, I thought this man didn't have a phone? Never ordering from this place again. It has gone downhill over the years. Food looks gross, soda is flat, and not the brightest or competent group of folks at this location. Not to mention they are liars and lack customer service. This place used to be great. The current service is HORRIBLE. Of the last four times I went there twice they forgot to tell us our take out order was ready and we were waiting and waiting. And now tonight for delivery they quoted me 45-60 minutes. After an hour and twenty I called. They said it wasn't even out for delivery and could be another 20 minutes before it was. I said doesn't that sound kind of ridiculous. And she was like "what do you want me to do about it?" She said the pizzas aren't going to get cold. And I said, "it's not about them getting cold - we're starving." She said it gets busy and now the wait time is longer. I said again how could you not think it's ridiculous to change the wait time by an hour but not notify someone. So we'd have to wait 2 hours for pizza now? I've heard that Il Primo has great wings, but since I don't eat meat, I can't help you out with that one. They do, however, have good pizza for relatively good prices. I always get coupons sent to my house in those stupid blue value-pak things that I end up going through when I'm bored, and I always do find some good deals in them. Il Primo has 2 large pizzas for $14.99- hey, that's the price of one Papa John's! They only use 1 type of cheese the pizza was not great I wouldnt go that route again but I am willing to go back and try the Veggie pizza. My gf ordered a calzone with fresh mushrooms and sausage, and I ordered an antipasto salad. The calzone was huge-the size of a pizza! But there was no ricotta to be found inside. How bizarre. Also bizarre was the option of canned mushrooms in said calzone. Who would actually choose that? My salad was delicious, albeit skimpy on the pepperoni (I had two slices). We have been here a few times and noticed every time we get our wings there burnt and noticed as we were waiting for our order they just placed already cooked wings into the fryer and pulled out..I prefer my wings cooked and fresh like the other primos on 67th ave does them...never has this location made our order as good as the other location..it's frustrating when I expect my food properly done and this location doesn't come thru..always burnt wings..I'll just have to take the extra 15 min drive to there other location...they need to learn from there other location on how to properly make there stuff and also it would be nice to have veggies at this location read more
