The supplier he deals with is top notch. Then came delivery/installation. I was immediately was put at ease with the worker he sent. I wanted to keep him. He did a nice job installing the floor. As soon as there was a little dust or mess there he was with his broom and vacuum. I love my floor. I did not even have to get use to it. My old floor was dark and this one was quite lighter. I do not expect to have any problems now. If I do I have confidence that Charles and his crew would be right here. Carpeting will be done soon. My plan is to go with Charles again. Skip the fast talkers and go with Nationwide Floor and Windows.

They were also extremely accommodating when the scope of our project changed--we decided to refinish the hardwood floors on our stairs and in our office before installation, and they updated the pricing quickly and fairly without any hassle. The installation itself was smooth and impressively well-coordinated. The crew handled removal and install flawlessly, worked efficiently, and clearly knew what they were doing. The finished product looks fantastic. We highly recommend American Carpet Distributors for anyone looking for quality service from a family-run business you can trust. Tip: cash is preferred

We paid over $14,000 for a professional installation, but we have been left with a failing floor and an owner who uses "warranty offers" to avoid fixing his own team's gross negligence. 1- The "Standard Procedure" Trap The owner, Brian, will claim he is "ready to resolve" the issue, but don't be fooled. His "remediation plan" is a cheap "spot repair" that ignores the systemic subfloor failure documented by an independent inspector. The inspection report--which the owner himself initiated--confirmed the subfloor is outside of manufacturer flatness tolerances and should have been leveled before a single plank was laid. Instead of honoring the contract, Brian is trying to force a "patch job" that is technically impossible for a click-lock floating floor without compromising the locking mechanisms of the surrounding area. 2-The "Extra-Cushiony" Gaslighting When the floor first began moving and crackling, the owner and his Project Manager, Chuck, didn't even bring a straight-edge to measure the floor. Instead, Brian actually wrote us a letter claiming the structural instability was a "feature," calling it an "extra-cushiony step." It was only after we refused to accept this gaslighting and an independent inspector proved the failure that he finally admitted the floor was out of tolerance. 3- Why "Access" is the New Excuse The owner claims he is being denied access. This is a blatant attempt to flip the narrative. We have welcomed a wall-to-wall assessment to ensure the floor finally meets the 1/8-inch manufacturer requirement we paid for. The owner has refused this. He only wants access to perform "localized" patches that would leave our $14,000 investment non-compliant and likely void our long-term warranty. 4- Unprofessional Negligence: * Technical Failure: The crew installed the planks tight against all four walls with zero expansion space. * Zero Preparation: Subcontractors arrived with no knowledge of the scope of work and didn't even know a vapor barrier was required (even though we paid for it). * Scheduling Over Quality: They attempted to install over a wet slab only 24 hours after abatement. ***Final Verdict:*** FCI Chicago North Side skips the most important steps (leveling and moisture protection), tries to talk you out of noticed defects, and then offers "minimal repairs" once they are caught by an inspector. They prioritize their profit margins over industry standards and contractual honesty. If you want a floor that actually lasts, do not trust this company.

Liz gave me a tour of their showroom, showcasing their vast selection of rugs, carpets, and flooring options. I was never alone in the process--Liz helped me every step of the way and customized my three rugs to perfectly fit my space. I am beyond grateful to Liz, Dena, and the entire team at Exposition Flooring for making this such a seamless and enjoyable experience. And i can say with no shadow of a doubt, working with Home Carpet One (Jonathan Carey in particular) comes out at the very top of my positive experience list. For background, I purchased 3 rooms of wool carpet, 2 custom-made large rugs and 3 flights of stair runners with landing carpet. Firstly, their work is unbelievable - Jonathan's guidance and knowledge was so helpful, and gets you your quote quickly and scheduled for install even faster. The installation team are easily the best I've worked with. They come prepared to do a completely custom job that's tailored exactly to your needs, right down to sewing on stair runner edging on site to make sure the colors work once the carpet is laid. They happily resized a rug (on site) for me once i realized I'd ordered it too large, and redelivered the product in 3 days. Today, they installed our stair runners (less than 2 weeks after i ordered them) and the whole way along they checked that i was happy with the look, and offered sage advice on lines and patterns that i never would have thought of. Honestly, don't waste your time going anywhere else - i wish i never bothered with the horrible salespeople i experienced over at the Mart! Great value, fabulous product, and truly excellent service.
