The reviews on Groupon were great so of course I purchased the special! You must make an appointment, great! As soon as I purchased the Groupon, I called and left a message. This was Saturday evening. They're closed on Sunday so I patiently waited until Monday morning to call again. I called once Monday morning, no answer. Once more a couple hours later and a frantic woman answered the call. I told her I purchased a Groupon and wanted to make an appointment. She told me she was driving and would call me right back. Odd... So I waited an hour. Two hours. Several hours. No response. I really need my nails done! So I got in touch with Groupon and they offered me a trade in value for my purchase. Thank God my money was not wasted! I traded in for a different nail salon and now I have an appointment with a different place. The Nail Spot will never get a recommendation from me. I STILL have not received a phone call back from this lady after my 3 calls to her. My business must not be important. For my manicure, I get my long natural nails done with S&S dip powder and a gel overlay. I've been getting my nails done this way for years and have never had an issue. This salon applied the product so thin that it's already peeling away from my natural nails. As a result, I've already broken two of my natural nails because there wasn't enough strength or protection. Not only did I waste my money, but now I'm left with damaged nails that will take time to grow back. To make matters even worse, the salon itself was dirty and poorly maintained. The air conditioning wasn't working, and it was 83 degrees inside while customers and employees were expected to sit there for extended periods. It was incredibly uncomfortable and made the entire experience even more unpleasant. Between the unsanitary conditions, the painful cuts, the poor-quality nail application, and the uncomfortable environment, this was a complete waste of money.
