It will be busy you will have to wait, but let me tell you the turnover of the tables by the staff is its own ballet. And once you are shown to your table the wait will be worth it. Point number two order potatoes that are fried in duck fat and sprinkled with garlic and parsley. *if all. I did was return in the future for those potatoes and nothing more the trip is worth it. Now the place is loud and busy and you would not want it any other way the energy is contagious the "Ambiance" is simple you are glad to be there and the employees are glad you are there too.

That reliability is rare, and it's why Bloom is always my first recommendation. When family or friends visit from out of town (or locally) Bloom is where I take them. Every time. The food speaks for itself. The steak is cooked exactly to order, every single time. Medium rare means medium rare tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The duck fat potatoes are so good I order an extra side even when they come with my entrée. My wife loves their chicken and waffles. It's a difficult meal to pull off, but Bloom does it justice! The chilaquiles are outstanding they genuinely capture authentic Mexican flavors in a way that holds up against homemade family recipes and the best taquerias I've been to. The cocktails here are the best in the Bay as well. They taste delicious, and the presentation is eye-catching and photo-worthy. They're also strong without sacrificing taste, which is so hard to find. Sometimes a cocktail is delicious but weak, or strong but unpleasant. Bloom's drinks are perfectly balanced every time. Our favorite drink is the Palomina. It's refreshing, complements the food beautifully, and it's the kind of drink that keeps you sipping until the glass is empty. Whether you're celebrating or simply treating yourself, Bloom is the destination for a boozy brunch done right. This restaurant is truly our favorite. We've come here to celebrate life's milestones, and we've come here during difficult times when we needed a pick me up. Great food brings comfort, and we know we can always count on Bloom to deliver. They never disappoint. A heartfelt thank you to the staff and owners for making this such a special place.

I usually get the same item at Basquia Bakery: Korokke, a Korean style fried bread with a crispy panko exterior, filled with savory mash potatoes. For $3, it's a good deal for a snack. Some of Basquia Bakery's baked goods are not labeled so I would have totally overlooked their Korean mochi bread if it weren't for TikTok. Last fall, Korean sweet potato mochi bread (goguma ppang) went viral. For months, the commercial frozen ones were sold out at Korean markets. The supply has since been replenished (along with frozen kimbap) but if you can't commit to an entire bag like myself, then this is for you. Plus, this may be the only bakery in NorCal selling freshly made Korean mochi bread. M E N U Along with mochi bread, Basquia Bakery sells cakes (slice + whole), roll cakes, fruit tarts, cream puffs, bread, buns, k corn dogs, etc. For drinks, they have non-caffeinated lattes (e.g. black sesame and beer). M O C H I B R E A D Available in pairs ($4) or a variety box of the five flavors ($9). I went with the latter. Visited Saturday morning around 9:45 am and the had about a 50% supply left. Can we talk about how adorable these are?! The mochi bread is shaped based on their flavors. The mochi "bread" is mochi with a chewy exterior filled with a mashed filling. This is my personal preference but I like mochi that has more of an elastic, bouncy QQ chew which this didn't quite have. The texture did improve after air-frying the leftovers. Flavors: * Sweet Potato // 4 stars Looks and tastes exactly like the real deal with sweet, fluffy mashed interior but hits different with the slight gelatinous chew. Tip: Eat this with kimchi. It's adds a delicious tang and heat to contrast the natural sweetness. * Corn // 4 stars Enjoyed the creamy corn filling with kernels for texture. * Potato // 4 stars Savory, creamy mashed potatoes. I wanted to pair this with a steak. Lol. * Chestnut // 4 stars I love roasted chestnut but this has cinnamony, chocolatey notes from the dusting of cocoa powder + cinnamon. There were chunks of roasted chestnut. * Kabocha // 3 stars Again, tasted like the real deal but too sweet for me. Overall, glad I tried this cute novelty at Basquia Bakery. I'm now convinced to buy a bag of the commercial frozen ones, yanno for taste test comparison purposes. ;)

I got the Kiwami Vegan extra spicy and my friend got the Kiwami Tonkotsu spicy (adding spice costs 50c more) and we received our food after 20 minutes. Kiwami Vegan (5/5): This was delicious! The curry broth and the plant based meat were well seasoned and the yuzu gave the dish a nice citrus kick. I love spicy food and usually feel like ramen is not spicy enough, but this was the perfect level. Noodles were tasty and there was a good noodle to soup ratio. My friend gave the Kiwami Tonkotsu a 4/5 and said it could be a bit more flavorful. She tried some of my Kiwami Vegan and said she would order that next time instead Overall, amazing vegan ramen! Although there isn't a vegetarian option, the vegan option is plenty flavorful on its own and I didn't feel like I was missing anything. Ramen Hajime now joins Marufuku Ramen in my list of favorite ramen shops in the bay. I would definitely return!

Being a broth lover, I can assess the authenticity of a ramen place by tonkotsu broth. And this place really does an excellent job in delivering a savory fatty bowl of tonkotsu ramen. I also added duck breast to mine. $6 for 4 pieces of duck breast is actually no bad of a deal, especially considering the quality of the duck breast slices. They were not super thick, but got enough bite in there for you to enjoy the texture of the duck meat. It was not overdone and did not lead to a less than desired rough sandy texture. Rather, it was possibly slightly undercooked. The skin was intact and the fattiness from duck skin just brought so much joy to every bite. I savored every bit of that in silence. Service was good, servers were attentive enough. Make sure to go in and put your name down on the tablet device. Do not wait outside "in a line" cuz they only call people by the tablet.

Today, though, one of my crepes was undercooked (basically a little raw) and the other was overcooked. I went to tell the cashier and asked if they could remake the undercooked one. She was so nice and immediately said yes, but when she went to talk to the kitchen, the staff back there resisted. They came up to me and claimed nothing was wrong with it, saying "that's just how the batter looks." She fought me on the quite hard. Eventually, she agreed to remake it, but when it was brought back to the table, a passive agressive comment was made about how if it was cooked anymore it would be burnt. Which is ridiculous, considering our other crepe was clearly toasted a little too much! Afterward, that same nice girl (don't have her name is she is blonde) from the front came over to the table to check on me again and genuinely apologized for everything that happened with the kitchen. I know mistakes happen, things get busy, and maybe they were rushing to get food out. But please just recognize when a mistake is made instead of trying to convince someone they're imagining things when the food is clearly undercooked. The remade crepe came back looking perfect and tasting delicious. I wanted to give this 3 stars for the the attitude, but my love for the food and that incredibly sweet girl at the front kept it at a 4.

The restaurant leans hard into the floral theme with oversized arrangements, pastel decor, and even a flower market selling a mix of dried and silk flowers. It could feel gimmicky, but somehow it ends up being charming. The drinks are what initially caught my attention. Every table seemed to have something colorful and elaborate on it. More importantly, they weren't just pretty. The butterfly pea lemonade and strawberry matcha latte were genuinely delicious, not just Instagram bait masquerading as beverages. For food, the Chop Steak Skillet was the winner. Tender steak, vegetables, rice, and a sunny-side-up egg served sizzling hot. The pork cutlet was also excellent, crispy and satisfying with a rich sauce, cabbage salad, and potato salad on the side. Dessert is non-negotiable. Order the strawberry soufflé pancake. It arrives towering, fluffy, and impressively jiggly. The strawberry sauce adds just enough sweetness without overwhelming the pancake itself. Santa Clara has no shortage of brunch spots. GIWA stands out because it understands that dining should be fun. Good food, genuinely good drinks, and an atmosphere that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'll be back.

Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.

Depending on the time, it can get quite crowded. I came in around 9:30am and by the time I got to checkout, the baristas ran out of dine-in mugs. Which is why I opted for an iced americano. It had a nice creama layer and a well balanced flavor. Not too acidic or bitter. I got the french onion soup, labeled as a popular item/staple of the bakery. It is quite a lot of soup, I wish it came with a side of bread/sourdough as towards the end it was all soup and nothing to contrast it. It was nicely broiled at the top with some small pieces of bread and a healthy layer of cheese that made it so exciting to eat. Even the crust of the bread had some crunch although fully soaked. The bakery has wifi which is really handy since I think reception in that area wasn't the best. Wifi password is displayed at the register. I will come back to try the sandwiches!
