    Toasted Ravioli Deluxe Caesar Salad
    Tracy L.

To-Go Order Easy ordering process and was ready for pick up when I arrived. Toasted ravioli was delicious, especially with the meat sauce. It was nicely fried and the meat sauce gave it extra flavor. The pizza was addicting. It's cut up into squares and I found myself continuously grabbing another square.

I hadn't had Imo's in person for years, but we regularly have it shipped to our home in Oregon. So, I decided while in town visiting I better stop in to get some made fresh...plus I always loved their house dressing. They weren't too busy on a Saturday night so the wait wasn't long. We ordered two pizzas and two salads. It was as I remembered it...tasty and cooked to perfection. It definitely tastes a little better in shop, but I'll continue having some sent westward. The place could definitely use a facelift and could've been a tad tidier, but it's in a great location...and simply yummy, crispy, thin crust pizza.

Imo's Pizza is THE pizza parlor in St. Louis. Don't go here if you're wanting to fill up on dough and sauce. This is thin and crispy pizza cut in unique squares with your choice of toppings. I like the 16" Deluxe with real strips of bacon topped with that one and only St. Louis ingredient- Provel cheese. If you put one of these pizzas in front of me, I always go for the edges- the best! If you order the Great Tastes of St. Louis, you get a nice sampling of your choice of T-Ravs, Provel Cheese balls, and Cinnimo's for dessert! Imo's also has sandwiches, salads, drinks, etc. to round out your dinner. It's great!

IMO's Pizza is good and deserves 4 stars. The toasted Ravs(Ravioli) we delicious and I'll add some pictures in the review. The pizza was good and had a nice thin crust with a special cheese called Provel which is provolone + cheddar + swiss. Overall it was pretty good!

My family and I came here to experience St Louis-style pizza upon the recommendation of our Uber driver and a lot of local websites online. We ordered the veggie pizza and toasted ravioli. The crust is very thin and tastes like crackers. Imo's uses a combination of Swiss, provolone and white cheddar instead of mozzarella and this combination makes the pizza absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend any pizza here. The toasted ravioli, also a local favorite, tasted like fried breadcrumbs on the outside and it has gooey spiced beef on the inside. Would definitely recommend this as well! The garlic bread is a bit too salty though so you might want to pass on that. All in all, this a great place to have food!

"Sometimes you want to go / Where everybody knows your name" My aunt and uncle come in so often that when he and I showed up to get dinner to-go, the manager greeted him by name and asked which type of beer he'd like while waiting for the pizza to bake. Delicious, thin-crust pizza is great and even more fun is that it's cut into squares rather than the standard radial slices. The staff are quick and friendly. The fried ravioli were good, but nothing special. The Imo's St. Louis Special pizza, however, was outstanding, and I ate far more than my share. TRIVIA: This location is the 2nd-oldest Imo's, and it's also the only one to still offer the Italian vinaigrette dressing on its salad bar.

For studying, the space is really great. Good amount of tables, enough room to spread out, and there are charging ports which is a non negotiable for a long study session. The workers are friendly too. Oh and there's an ice cream shop attached to it. It's such a well rounded spot, whether you're coming to grab a quick bite, study for a few hours, or treat yourself to ice cream after. Highly recommend!

Parking is easy within a block or two. Outdoor, booth, and table seating is available. My husband had the gluten free pasta because it is also vegan, and no lie and true to form, it was delightful and light! The tomato sauce is Perfection: not too acidic, not too sweet, letting the grand yet humble tomato shine. I chose the puttanesca, one of my favorite traditional Italian pastas. I would order this again!! Had plenty for lunch the next day. Not to be left out: the toasted ravs and cannoli. I've had a few T-ravs since moving to StL, and these are excellent. The tomato sauce for dipping, once again, is a real treat. The cannolis? Precious, flaky, and dreamy. I ate one at our table and took the second bad boy home. FIRE.

While traveling through Missouri, my wife and I were looking for a place to have dinner. I searched…read moreYelp and came across Anthonino's. I also remembered seeing it featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, so we figured it had to be worth a try. When we arrived, we were asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, but noticed a few open seats at the bar and asked if we could sit there instead. The two bartenders welcomed us right away and told us they would take good care of us throughout the evening. My wife ordered an iced tea, and I started with an Old Fashioned. For an appetizer, we ordered the Toasted Ravioli ($14), which is handmade in-house and filled with ground beef, ricotta, and pecorino romano cheese, served with marinara sauce. It's one of the dishes featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. For dinner, my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala ($23), and I went with the Bolognese ($17), made with veal, pork, red wine gravy, cresta di gallo pasta, stracciatella, and Calabrian chili oil. The toasted ravioli arrived looking great. I tried one without the sauce first. The fresh pasta didn't fry up quite the way I expected. It was more flaky than crispy, and I was hoping for a little more crunch. The filling was decent but could have used a bit more seasoning and flavor. The marinara sauce also had a bitterness to it that wasn't my favorite. When our entrées arrived, both dishes looked and smelled wonderful. Unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite live up to the presentation. My wife's Chicken Marsala had good flavor overall, but the side pasta was very gummy, and the sauce again had a bitter note that seemed to overpower the dish. My Bolognese was the biggest disappointment of the evening. When I think of Bolognese or a rich meat ragù, I usually expect a wider pasta such as pappardelle. The cresta di gallo pasta wasn't my favorite choice for the dish, and it also had a gummy texture. The sauce itself suffered from the same bitterness that we noticed throughout the meal. Looking back, I probably should have ordered the Carbonara once I realized the Bolognese wasn't being served with the type of pasta I was hoping for. Overall, the meal was okay, but it didn't quite meet the expectations we had after seeing the restaurant featured on television and reading the reviews. The service was excellent, and the bartenders did a fantastic job taking care of us. While this visit was a bit disappointing, there were plenty of other dishes on the menu that looked great, and I would be willing to give Anthonino's another try and order something different.

You can try the St Louis style with provel (which I really like), but I'm pretty sure they have a mozzarella option, too. I've also tried their salads in the past and really enjoyed them. One day, maybe I'll get to try one of their Italian dishes. The place is a bit unusual in its look and structure. If you are going to get a table and eat, go in through the back door. There are some areas that look like smaller rooms, and then there was a larger room where we ate. It's all enjoyable, though. I also want to say that our waitress there was one of the most outstanding waitresses that I've ever seen. She was very friendly and helpful. It definitely added to the experience. I stopped in to pick up a pork loin because I was around the corner, looking for ~3-4lbs of meat. They only had a 1 1/2 pound in the case (order taker weighed it to confirm before going to the back, which should've been my first warning) so I asked if they had any larger ones. They were nice enough to check and offer to cut one. That's where things went downhill. After waiting 5 or 10 minutes, my order taker came back out to ask how I wanted it prepped (bone or boneless, skin on or off). I said skin off and ambivalent on the bones. This was my mistake, leaving my fate to the hands of someone profit motivated. I walked out with just about a 3 pound bone in roast, which is maybe half a pound more meat than the one and a half pound I turned down - not enough for my guests and I. Had I gotten a roast closer to 4lbs, I would've been unhappy with the price but not enough to write a review. Additionally, they only charged a dollar less for bone in. At $15/lb, I effectively paid the price of their beef for the meat after accounting for the bone. I felt tricked. In hindsight, I should've just turned it down when I saw the price, but I was a bit too shocked to say anything. So I paid my bill and swore that I wouldn't be coming back for anything but (maybe) sausage or a snack again.
