Salvage Yard serves both St. Louis and Chicago style pies. Parking is directly behind the strip of stores. On entering, a bar is on the left, and a dining area on the right. There were a few tables already filled, but i could have found a seat if I wanted one. I chose a Chicago Style veggie pizza and a salad. The salad was a good size, and the house Italian was tangy and delicious, but i wish it had more parmesan cheese. I was pleasantly surprised to find the pizza had a crispy crust and was not at all soggy. It was cut well into 8 pieces. The sauce was great as were the toppings. The only reason I might not come in again is that there are too many other pizza restaurants to try, and this one was fairly expensive. I won't say never though!

My neighbor was so nice, and brought me a pepperoni/bacon home after they dined in yesterday. I just wanted to say this pizza was amazing they did give me a slice of the deep dish, and I would compare it to Chicago Lou Manalti's! I cannot wait to bring my Dad and fiancé back to try something else would highly recommend!

Food ordered this afternoon was so good! It hit the spot and was made to perfection. My burger was well done with American cheese and onion rings on the side and my husband's burger was a medium-well done Philly with fries on the side. Those are definitely one of my all time fav onion rings And I like how they separate the condiments when picking up the order. The service was great & the past time we dined in the ambiance was fine for the occasion but this afternoon we used doordash.

I specifically come here for the pizza Chicago style. It's a nice little bar setting. The service was quick. There are about eight booths. And approximately six tables give or take. I have to come back to try other foods besides the pizza.

Server was great. Had a fun personality. The kitchen closes at 8, that felt a little strange since we thought closed at 9. They were not rude about it but could tell they wanted to go home. Table ordered wings pizza burgers chicken strips & pickle chips. Pickle chips had a thick breading (not my fave) but if you like alot of breading give em a shot. Wings were good. Crispy & regular buffalo sauce. Chicken tenders & burger were apparently good since they were alll gone by end of meal. They had st louis style & chicago pizza & a bob- a mix of chicago & stl style. Only issue i saw was build your own would get pricy if you wanted multiple toppings. Overall a gun experience with pretty good bar food.

The sauce is amazing! The deep dish is great. So far it's at the top of a very short list of Chicago style pizzas. I will be back the other food brought out looks great too. FYI the cheese pull was awesome.

Great pizza, okay service. Perfect for carry out. Best deep dish in St. Louis. Also try the thin crust Bbq chicken.

We've been here several times, always a good experience! We used our ##pizzapassport. First time ordering a Chicken Alfredo Pizza. It's very good. The service is always friendly and quick. There are tvs, but they aren't too loud to enjoy a conversation. The salads are huge, so split one! We'll be back!

The food was great. Either option on Stl or Chicago style is accepted. Let your eyes eat. Personally, I prefer the Chicago style pizza due to the sauce on top and its thick crust. Their pub chips are a must get! The service was average as the restaurant seemed short staffed. There are plenty of locations to sit down and even over a bar section. Offers tvs if your looking to catch a sports game. Family friendly with casual setting.

Is Louie's permanently closed? I live in San Diego, but I stop in to buy pizza every time I'm visiting family in St. Louis. Tell me it isn't true? 😭😭

Louie's Pizza Co has re-opened as of January 1, 2020!!! Same great recipes, new owners that have been thoroughly trained by the previous owners!

    Is Louie's take-out only?

Yes pick up or delivery only

I could eat the bread by itself and be completely satisfied with my meal. My wife ate the Gyro and loved it. My son got chicken strips and fries and they were some of the best chicken strips I've ever had. Yes I stole some of them. I believe the guy who took our order seemed to be an owner or something, but he was extremely nice and very helpful. If I wanted to be nitpicky, my only complaint is the seating area to be honest, wasn't the cleanest. The tables weren't really clean. The highchair was sticky and the place just needed cleaned. So it would be nice to see them possibly try to do a little deep cleaning that being said, I would highly recommend this deli. You won't be disappointed. There was a steady flow of carryout while we were there which I feel speaks highly of the restaurant and the food they serve. The price is a great value for the amount of food you get. If you're hungry when you come here, you won't leave hungry. They give you plenty of food. I was stuffed and couldn't eat anything the rest of the day. I would give this restaurant a five star if they would clean it up a little bit.

It took all my strength to not buy one of everything but I selected on four picks for my first of two visits, as well as a bag of their sourdough shortbread that I just finished today and am already missing. I was also given a taster of their apple crisp with my first order, which was very delicious and will be a great addition to any holiday meal. The maple glazed doughnut was soft, a perfect classic. The cranberry ginger jam was delicious and punchy, but could have used a little something on the actual doughnut to balance out how strong it was. I enjoyed both kolaches; the everything seasoning one is well reminiscent of the classic bagel and schmear with its cream cheese center, and the three cheese bacon had good sized strips of bacon baked in. Perhaps my favorite was my take home item from the next day, their cinnamon roll. I warmed it up a little, not that it needed it. Pillowy soft with a delicious frosting. I also miss that already too. I really appreciate that you can also pick up local eggs and milk from this spot with Fed From The Farm. As you can see, it was very busy around 9am when I came in Saturday morning, but the line moves quickly and there's space in the back to wait for your order. The parking lot is small and fills quickly but nearby street parking seems feasible enough. Really glad I got to check out this spot!

I will say that it was delicious and a very good size for the price of the sandwich. I did like his house made bread and his Italian salsa verde was on point too. No ambiance to this place at all. Was a tiny lil corner store turned into this lil deli and judging by the foot traffic while I was waiting, most are stopping in to grab a sandwich to go. Only a few small bar seats in the place and a couple of picnic tables outside. Definitely worth the visit and I could see this place really doing great if managed properly. I would go back for that porchetta!
