I just didn't think the pizza had a lot of flavor. It was just kind of blah. And the crust was a little bit limp. It has to be able to stand up to the sauce. And you should be able to taste the sauce the sauce needs flavor seasoning, salt, pepper, herbs, the whole bit. And it wasn't just one pizza we purchased. I moved to St. Louis 6 years ago, and we have been looking for good pizza since the day we arrived. I get that provel is a thing in this market, but you would think more places would offer pizza with just mozzarella. I get that some places will do that if you ask, but I can't tell you how many times we had pizza delivered to the house and it would be provel instead. Finally, we came across Pizza World by random accident. The best thing about the pizza is the crust appears to be handmade and they don't overload it with sauce or toppings. Essentially, the flavor proportions are excellent, and that is rarely the case with a lot of pizza places. Their extra large options make it easy to feed my family of 5, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is reasonably priced in my opinion. The only thing that keeps this from being a five star review is they do charge you a service fee to pay with a debit or credit card. It's not a huge deal, but it always rubs me the wrong way when restaurants do that. read more

Was out and about and decided to try Pizza World. This is part of the St. LOUIS PIZZA PASSPORT so my pie was 50% off.. great deal. We had the 16" Pepperoni/Hamburger and Banana Peppers with Provel. You get to pick your cheese!! Pizza was good... came out nice and hot!! The Best was the Ceasar Salad!!! Sooo good.. The Parm Garlic Boneless wings were tasty too!!! The menu was extensive and had alot of variety to choose from. The place is convenient located and small so not ideal for large groups. Staff were super friendly!!! read more

We order pizza, wings, toasted raviolis all the time and everything we have had has been excellent. Last night we decided to try a sandwich instead and Wow!!! I would highly recommend the hot Italian sub!...I woke up this morning still thinking about how good that sub was. The pizza is absolutely excellent. The staff is very friendly. And the businesses kept very clean and tidy.

We ordered a large order via slice, and I asked Slice to verify the order and to note a few things we needed. The restaurant confirmed the order and ensured all would be taken care of. However, when the person showed up to pick up the delivery, they FORGOT our order, which was about $350. We were having a training class and I had 40 people who didn't get lunch because they didn't keep their promise. They lied to me when I called and said that it was Slice's fault, If I didn't know that the order was confirmed I would say that it could have been system issues. The bottom line when I called and asked if they could help, they didn't care. The guy I talked to just sat there clicking his tongue and hemming and hawing, I basically said if you can't help I need to find lunch for these people. I was just so upset that this happened and they didn't think it would affect us. If it was two pies that we ordered I could get over it, but it was such a large order. read more

The pizza is always great! But they stepped up on this order. They normally close on Monday but the online order was still available. I completed the order for carry out and drove over there. Wow was this pizza good! We had never stopped by despite driving by it all the time until we had the pizza passport. We were able to ride the Des Peres Greenway bike path most of the way there for this particular visit. They have a couple of picnic tables for outdoor seating as well as indoor tables too. Great fresh pizza; however possibly the best leftover pizza the following day in St. Louis. We always over order so that we get to munch on it the next couple days. Still some of the best tasting pizza in the area! So, the big banner out front says, "Now under new management." The bad news is, I haven't seen the signs for their lunch special, so I must assume that it has been discontinued. The good news is, my daughter and I had lunch here today and for less than $10 we got a medium pizza and two sodas. My daughter normally just eats plain cheese pizza, but today we got one of the specialties, the Via Bianco. Two types of cheese with a scattering of basil leaves on top, and in our case, an olive oil glaze instead of tomato sauce. Even for a carnivore like me, it was delicious! read more

Hiii, I am a pizza lover and I was craving for good pizza . I went there on 5th of July, 2019. It is a small restaurant in the county but I can say it is the GEM of St Louis. The pizza was divine . They have a variable menu and an option to create your own pizza. I ASKED FOR THE LATTER. I asked for large pizza, topped with mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms and fresh basil.. the crust the sauce were very delicious as with the rest of the toppings. And I asked for cinnamon rolls.. they serve small ones around 7 or 8 (I really lost count, they were just super good). I just loved this place so much, and will definitely go there to try the rest of the menu. Another thumbs up, you can call the resto and ask for your pizza to be ready for pickup!!. Wow! Just wow. Finally a great pizza place. I wanted to try a new pizza place and I am extremely satisfied! I got the "Classic Supreme" and it was so good! The toppings were just right, and I really appreciate how they cut their veggies! Some places don't even chop up their veggies, they just throw the whole mushroom or half a bell pepper on there. These were bite sized and perfect. We also got the mango habanero wings which had a kick! Also order toasted ravs...they were dry and weren't really seasoned. Solid 4! We don't do provel. Enuff said. Pizza World has some tasty pizza. It's cheap, carry-out, & fast. Better than the other chain pizzas we've tried. My husband always orders the Meat Grande WHEAT crust. The crust is flakey, and just the right thickness & crispness. They really load on the meat, & just the right amount of cheese & flavorful spice. We never eat there, inside has a pretty standard fast food feel. Their staff is always pleasant. This is no gourmet pizza joint, which we also enjoy & will often spend the extra dough to eat (I see the pun too). For lunch today, I ordered a personal Buffalo Chicken pizza and a salad from the Pizza World located in Maplewood, MO (or Shrewsbury, technically). While I hadn't eaten at or ordered from a Pizza World in probably 4 or 5 years, I thought I'd give it another shot. I was told delivery would be about 45 minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to see an excellent delivery guy named Bob arrive with my order in less than 25 minutes, and he was one of the most friendly delivery guys around. He displayed genuine old-school customer service qualities as he made sure everything was delivered as ordered, and then talked through a few of the options on the menu that I might check out next time I order (i.e. cheese choices, Wheat crust, etc.). Overall, he did a great job of making me want to order again from Pizza World by showing his passion for the job. It didn't hurt that the Buffalo Chicken pizza was excellent, and for a personal sized specialty pizza and salad lunch special, price was definitely reasonable. Anyway, it has been quite some time since I had ordered from a Pizza World, and thanks to a great lunch special and a phenomenal delivery guy, Bob, I'd say they've gained back an old customer, and I've giving 5 stars in hopes that some other folks will find this spot, give them a call, or give them a second shot at impressing you. read more
