We hadn't gotten to pack everything, so there was still clothing, and fragile items (ceramics). All made it from source to destination with no damage. I had a team of 3 guys helping move my 2-bedroom apartment to a new place nearby. There was a TON of stuff. They started at 11am and didnt stop until 12am. They took only 2 (10 minute breaks for lunch and dinner). I don't know how they did it! They were incredible, extremely friendly and considerate. Denis and his partner were consummate professionals - they were prompt and responsive from the beginning. I initially reached out to several moving companies through yelp, and Denis was the first to respond with a reasonable quote. They came on time on moving day with packing materials (plastic wrap, wardrobe boxes, padding like blankets, tape, and paper) and swiftly packed everything in my 1bdr apartment on the second floor. When we arrived at my new place, I locked my keys in my apartment and had to wait for about an hour before I could get in. They could have charged me for that time as they charge by the hour, but they said that because they weren't actively working, they would pause time! HUGE shoutout to Paul, Andrew, and Alex for their help! They are a rockstar team -- quick, strong, careful, and very nice to work with. We moved from two single bedroom apartments to a 2-BD 1 BA high-rise in SF (they had to drive the moving truck to 2 separate locations before arriving at the new home location). They wrapped all the furniture, mirrors, delicate items (large photos, etc) very diligently and thoroughly combed through the rooms to ensure that they didn't forget anything. Paul was the lead and told me to ask him for things and he will lead the charge with Andrew and Alex. As you can see, they have a great system, work extremely well together, and we didn't have to stress at all. Of course I forgot a few things to pack inside my moving boxes, and Paul was very calm and reassuring the whole time. If you have any size move - small/large/complex - they can handle it! It was a pleasure working with Impel Moving! I spoke with a bunch of other moving companies and some of them had attitudes, while others were more expensive. Some things I appreciated: - Dennis worked within my tight budget (it never hurts to ask if they can do a discount - they might be able to if they don't have an upcoming move on a certain day) - I requested packing tape and some boxes ahead of time, and Dennis dropped them off - They were right on time for the move - They had a friendly, helpful attitude the entire day...I was figuring out the best spots for a few armoires and even when we switched them they didn't get annoyed at all - They can shrink wrap everything that you don't pack up in boxes - They worked very quickly and I could tell they cared about getting everything done for me ASAP and with care, even on a hot day The only misstep was that Dennis' colleague tried to take 3 paintings in one hand, and then had to drop one on the street near the truck, and even though it landed face up, it wasn't ideal. I hired Impel's team to move our 2br + 2 office + nursery. We preboxed everything and pre-disassembled most furniture. The two movers completed the job in 9 hours including two trips which was more time efficient due to the short distance of the move rather than packing the truck to the brim. The movers communicate very well, are very conservative in wrapping furniture meticulously and offering to help with anything we might want. They were even flexible on letting me help by taking small things by car to reduce the number of things they needed to wrap and unwrap. They didn't damage anything. They asked if it was ok to speak in Russian to each-other in order to communicate more effectively. That was fine with me. Their English was great too. They, like all of the other movers I called, wanted to add more crew members for my small move which I've previously accomplished with 2. I requested that we stick with two and see how it goes. They stayed on schedule and finished on time. If you're not able and willing to prep for the movers, you'll need a bigger team to handle furniture disassembly, wrapping, and reassembly. read more

If I ever have to move - I'm hiring these guys. Sergei and another gentleman (didn't catch his name) helped me move. Their service was impeccable - they were careful with the expensive electronics, wrapped up the mattress cause of the rain, and did moved the bed with minimal difficulty. The entire process took less than three hours (their minimum) but instead of leaving - they offered to go with me to go shopping for additional furniture. They even went as far to help repair some of the broken parts in the house.
