The soups were good, but both were a bit thinner and more watery than I personally like. I prefer my clam chowder especially to be richer and creamier. The fried seafood platter was really good with a nice variety of seafood, but surprisingly my favorite part might have been the truffle fries. They were addictive and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fish sandwich was probably the weakest item for me. The fish was a little dry and didn't have as much flavor as I was expecting. The lemonade was amazing, though. Super refreshing and exactly what I wanted with fried seafood on a nice day. Overall, really good food with a couple of misses. I'd definitely come back for the platter, truffle fries, and lemonade.

My favorite thing that happened though was that I overheard the (likely) manager come talk to the hostess who was folding merch and another waitress, telling them to take breaks, drink lots of water, and go stand in the freezer for a few minutes. She was like a mother hen, and I loved that she was looking out for her young staff. Lucky kids working for her, and lucky parents having an employer look after their kids like that! All these years, who knew! I've eaten at Lobster Pot, CBI, the Wequassett, the Wayside, Pelham House and several other top restaurants on this peninsula and none of them have left me feeling like Moby Dicks. From the moment I pulled into the parking lot that was chock full of cars and was assisted with parking my car by a very nice young man to standing in line and being offered fresh tasty watermelon while I waited to the young woman who came around and collected our watermelon rinds to the unbelievably nice staff who kept checking on us during out meal. Who does all this these days? Speaking to the staff, I became aware of their accents. They are from all over the world...Croatia, North Africa and so many more far away places. They spoke very highly of the restaurant's owners and actually said they loved working there. This is a win win situation folks. The staff is happy which encourages them to show up for work - unlike so many places these days. This makes the bosses happy which trickles down to the customer who ends up with the best part of the deal...great food at reasonable prices and a hell of a staff to serve you! They have a dress code, but from my observation, the diners weren't as "fancy" as I thought they would be. Make no mistakes, this restaurant is on the high end of price range. And if you choose to take the plunge, expect to shell out a hefty price tag - WORTH EVERY PENNY. If you aren't swimming in dough, it's the kind of place reserved for something special - starting with the staff - all amazingly approachable, knowledgeable and polished in their appearance. "Emerils" quality staff (almost, because the serving is ALMOST as choreographed as the best Emeril experience). At the helm for us, Miss Vivienne (sp). WOW! BEAUTIFUL wine list. Now the food - ITS A LOT. A LOT for what a "tasting" menu/experience offers, its A LOT of food! 2 course tasting menu for $125, 4 course for $150 and a 7 course for $195. The "tasting" and swapped out the tenderloin and the lemongrass mousse. The bread was a warm and sultry herbed brioche with house made butter. Followed by 2 oysters, a yellow tomato gazpacho with Jonas Crab - luscious, perfectly seasoned with a creamy mouthfeel, so velvety. Carrots 3 ways - puree'd, roasted and slightly steamed adorned 3 HUGE and PERFECTLY executed scallops. By then, I was full! And out comes a true tasting of their lobster carbonara with Bucattini. I could have stopped there. But I ordered the Halibut. DOUBLE the portion I was served at STARS, perfectly seasoned, perfect temp with a squid ink paella style bomba rice with crispy chorizo and PERFECTLY poached squid. A FLAVOR BOMB offered with the butter wine sauce to be served at your discretion. My husband had the duck - it came 2 ways - pan seared and a shredded confit. DOUBLE the portion he was served cold at STARS. A lovely palate cleanser was provided in between the carbonara and the main course. And then dessert... I have rarely said that a dessert outshines the meal. If the meal was spectacular, the dessert was something out of my dreams! I swore Amaury Guichon was in the kitchen! I ordered an apple mousse with apple compote. Out came "an apple". I smashed the "skin" - an impossibly thin layer of white chocolate sprayed with red white chocolate.
