Checking out the reviews led me to this place. I was staying overnight at the truck stop next door and didn't want to resort to truck stop eats. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the food. The staff member who I asked for advice on what to get was super friendly and helpful. So that was a highlight. I got the Pepper Jack Boudin Roll, the Crawfish Boudin Roll, Dirty Rice and Baked Beans. I opted for takeout as I wanted to eat in the comfort of my vehicle. The food was just warm when I started eating it. Luckily I had a microwave to heat it back up. But nothing that I ordered made me say "wow ". It was just ok. I thought the beans were actually the best part. Before entering the restaurant I held the door for an elderly couple and they recommended the ribs. Another gentleman, who ordered right after me, specifically asked for the ribs. So if I do come back I think I will try the ribs. The food wasn't terrible, it was just ok for me. read more

If you're reading....it's too late! I ate all the pork steaks! This place is amazing. I ordered Pork steak, dirty rice and beans. Cleaned the plate! Husband ordered fried ribs.....and I fell to the floor. This food is so good I will be back. Another thing I want to add a gentlemen came to our table I'm assuming it was the owner and ask us how we were doing and how was the food. I love that! This little place is awesome. Walk in and nothing but the smell of meat. Went in one morning and grabbed a couple of sausage, egg, cheese biscuits and a cup of coffee. Soft moist biscuits, nice spice from the sausage. Go back a couple days later for the Cajun lunch special. Shrimp on rice with green beans and corn bread to die for. If you ever feel hungry on I-10 in Southwest Louisiana, make sure to hold out for exit 43. In-Laws shocked my taste buds back to life. Their use of seasonings and the smokiness of the meats was something I find myself still drooling over. The prices were reasonable for this type of eatery. In case there was still any question, I definitely recommend giving them a try. I am considering driving my family 70+ miles just to eat there again on the weekend. read more

This place is tops. Get the fresh cracklins. You can't go wrong. Also if you were contemplating getting a shaker of they're own seasoning JUST DO IT. It's a little spicy and sweet. This place is super cute. Very clean. We buy a lot of our spices, pepper jelly, and meats from here. They also serve snacks, lunch and dinner. Known for their boudin balls (we love the pepper jack) and their chicken and pork cracklings that's are unbeatable. Their pepper jelly is incredible. We used to buy the small snack size ones to dip our boudin balls in, now we just buy by the bottle to have at home. Their pork steak is a masterpiece. read more

Amazing! We're Georgians and traveling from GA to Texas and saw the road signs so went through the drive through. We got the pepper jack boudin balls, French fries, green beans, fried ribs and dirty rice. EVERYTHING was delicious and it was so fast! read more

Our go to when traveling I-10 between Houston and Lafayette. What we like is the boudin is not overly seasoned. My favorite is the smoke boudin (mixed with scrambled eggs is awesome). The chicken cracklings are good also. read more

This place has the best Ribs I have tasted in a very long time and they are a dry rub and it's hard to find one that's either had to much seasoning or to little not In laws they are the best they have a nice smoke flavor. Excellent shrimp etouffee served Friday on the plate special for 8.99$ The beignet fries absolutely divine as dessert also perfect for a to go snack. Seats inside and outside also a drive thru. We tried their boudain balls, they were good. They had just sold the last smoked ribs to the guy ahead of us, who offered me one for some beignet fries. That will be my next order. Give them a try.
