As a vegetarian, In-N-Out coming to CO wasn't the most enticing thing. However, I must say that I am now a convert, and oftentimes will suggest to my meat-eating boyfriend that I want to go to In-N-Out because let's face it... you really can't beat the value! The service is always great, with friendly employees that greet you every time and are great at wiping down tables as soon as customers exit. The fact that they also read back your order ensures that they heard your customizations correctly to prevent mistakes. My go-to's are a grilled cheese with tomato and lettuce and well done fries. Is it the greatest grilled cheese? White bun, American cheese... hardly. But for the reasonable price of $2.10, it is perfect for an after volleyball meal. We never do drive-through, we always walk in, so I can't speak to how quickly that line moves. read more

I hadn't been to In-N-Out before so wasn't sure what to expect. Was hoping that after a few months of being open, the hype would have calmed down and we could be in and out quickly (pun not intended!). The hype hasn't calmed down - the line was out the door and the drive thru was even longer- maybe over 200 cars. The staff was regularly counting customers in line and maintaining capacity. From the time we stood in line and got our food, it was about 30 minutes. I ordered an Animal style Double-Double burger, regular fries and chocolate shake. The burger had great flavor and was the perfect size for being just filling enough. Same goes for the shake. The fries weren't anything special but decent. Total bill with tax was under $10. I grew up in Southern California, so it was exciting to find that in-n-out was opening a location here in Colorado. Yes, as the other reviews say, expect a wait. I've gone to this location shortly before they opened, and the line gets long pretty quick. The food tastes just like it does in California! My favorite go to's are the double double cheeseburger with grilled onions and a side of animal fries. Prices have always been reasonable and portions just perfect - I love a good burger that doesn't leave you feel greasy and bloated right after. Well it's In-N-Out and it's delicious. I know what to expect as I've had this burger chain many a times on the west coast and this new location did not disappoint! The wait is a bit ridiculous for drive thru so I highly recommend just walking inside and ordering. It could save ya a couple hours. Figured it's been a good three months since they first opened and the 14 hour lines are no more, so why not. We were right! So hyped that there was NOT A SOUL in line for walk-in. Staff was great and happily welcomed us in right before we walked right up to the counter. Got in on the double double animal style and a side of fries - just regular - big mistake. Let me say one thing here, I've had in-n-out a handful of times in different states and have enjoyed it. Did I ever want to wait half a day for it? Never, but it was good. I gotta say though, at this visit, the burger was good - decent, not amazing, and not bad. But the fries........I now see why animal style is an option. It should really just be the norm because without any sauce on top, they tasted like straight cardboard. I don't really understand because they weren't cold either. I've had In n Out in Cali, Utah, and now CO. And they are all consistent, good quality, cheap burgers and fries. My husband has been wanting In n Out since they opened so I thought why not finally go while I'm off and can wait awhile if needed. Thankfully it took longer for us to get there (yay Denver traffic) then it did to wait in line on a Wednesday around 4. We waited about 15 minutes total from ordering to getting our food. When I visit Medford, Oregon, the first thing I want is a protein burger from In-N-Out, so when I heard they were coming to the Denver area, I was ready to sit in the drive thru with all the other 753,973,492 people. The food was just eh.. meh.. So I figured I'd wait until things calmed down and return at a different time, because I needed that yummy burger! Again, the food was just okay. So, I tried one more time and once again the food was just okay. To be clear, I only order the protein burger (a burger with no bun), fries and a diet soda. It's possible that a bun would make all the difference, but I just can't do the bread. The one in Medford, Oregon is definitely superior to the one in Aurora, Colorado. Being from Cali, the INOB is always a consistent high qual burger. Getting the double double protein style with grilled onions mustard fry is like coming home. The fam also has their favorites from animal style fries to Neapolitan shakes and the like. While busy, going in rather than doing the drive through saves time particularly if tending toward the 'standard' times. There has been a bit of a learning curve for some of the servers, given the large 'unpublished' menu but I think that's been cleaned up quite a bit. I first tried In N Out in California so the thought of this chain opening now 4 locations in Colorado really excites me. To put it bluntly, the burgers here are just downright burgers. There's nothing "fancy" about it but it does taste different from other fast food places. To me, I think they taste more fresh (but that doesn't mean it's lighter because trust me, the double double does feel heavy near the end). The only thing that I would say distinguishes this place from others is the thousand island sauce and secret menu items. However, don't get too distracted by this. The food straight from the menu really hits the spot! My go to: double double with animal style fries. The fries alone are actually not good at all. They lack crispiness and flavor, so I find the extra sauce on top makes it more palatable. The logistics: the wait is still going to be long, especially at this Aurora location. I went on a Friday morning right at opening (10:30am) and it took 5 minutes to take my order at drive thru and another 20 minutes to get the food and pay. They offer the choice of eating in your car (where they will put the food in a box for you) OR just taking it to go where they'll put it in a bag. What a crazy time to open a business selling food. Mandatory closures come at a drop of a hat due to knee jerk reactions and turning a blind eye to hard data, how's it possible to open a store successfully during this time? There are only a handful of companies that can achieve this feat successfully. In-N-Out is one of that handful. 12+ hours for a double double on opening day. Welcome to the temple. Today I pay my homage. There will be more built in the coming years but the same frenzy will be there. Colorado is the perfect market for In-N-Out so there will always be a clamoring. Don't believe me? The physical drive thru here is the longest I've ever seen in at any In-N-Out. And the cars will line up for years. Because we will all pay homage to the unrelenting nature of choosing the freshest ingredients and cultivating the perfect guest experience. Expect a wait, this was in the news, so don't be a jerk about it. I came here on a Sunday at 2:30pm, I stood in the line outside for about 15 minutes. The staff walks by every few minutes to check up on our sanity. The store does not allow more than 10 people in at a time, that's why the line outside looks big. Once you get inside, you order, pay for it, and wait outside under the heat lamps. Colorado definitely went crazy for In-n-Out as they opened last weekend to some pretty insane lines! I went for my food on 11/22 at around 9:45pm, waited an hour outside and 30 minutes inside after ordering food. Bring some warm clothes if you're planning to wait in the walk up line! Definitely a long wait for a burger, but a funny memory to have. I went with my friend who is a native of Los Angeles so I had a much better experience and learned a bunch about how to modify my order and the "Not So Secret Menu". There are no direct measures for social distancing for the walk up line, and people generally wait at the tables inside for their orders. It's hard to find a seat to wait where you're adequately distanced, bur people did generally keep their distance from other groups when ordering at the counter. Service was pretty efficient relative to the insanity of the drive through and take out lines. Thank you to the all star staff for controlling the insanity and chatting with us in line! I got a black and white milkshake and a cheeseburger with a double toasted bun and grilled onions which I ate with packets of spread (which you can request at the counter). I come from a family that used to spend ~3 months of the year in LA and we generally do NOT like In-n-Out since it seems like nothing special but modifying the food does make it much better. My husband and I came on the 2nd day they were open and were gladly surprised when the walk up line was only 45minutes. We have been back since as well and the walk up line is always shorter so bundle up and get in line :) The burgers are delicious, so fresh tasting and the best lettuce and tomoato slices I have seen on a fast food burger. This was our second time trying to get In-N-out. Finally got to get it. Believe the hype. We got the double double, cheeseburger, hamburgers and grilled cheese, cooked to perfection. I saw a car try to sneak in and 2 staff members told them to get out. Keeping in mind that before you enter the parking lot line which can be 15 lines long that the line might wrap around the mall. Ok. So I sat in line for almost 90 minutes to eat here. I apologize to the city of Aurora for the unnecessary traffic in that little shopping center with the Macy's. The food was definitely not worth the wait AT ALL. I don't eat much fast food with Chick-Fil-A being the exception. So maybe my taste buds have gone to shit but this was not good. Maybe the 15 minute drive back home and the food not being hot played a part or maybe the high demand and long lines caused the food prep to be rushed. The burger was soggy due to way too much sauce.
