I'm not sure why this In-n-Out gets an overall rating of just 3 stars because that didn't correctly reflect the Food, Service and Ambiance I experienced today (4/22/2025) ! My Bestie and I decided to meet for lunch and this In-n-Out was about halfway for both of us...We are "The Ladies who Lunch" iykyk :) and are also Fans of a DELICIOUS In-n-Out meal. Our experience at this In-n-Out couldn't have been more Delightful ! Service was quick even though they were VERY busy as it was Noonish and EVERYONE wanted In-n-Out for lunch ! A very nice young man,I believe his name is Adrian, took my order with a smile, though it was a kooky off menu order, Adrian wasn't fazed at all (the man knows his business !) We barely sat down and our order was up...PERFECT, HOT and DELICIOUS. We decided to dine outside as it was a Beautiful Sunny So. Cal. day. All areas inside and out were clean and welcoming, including the outside (no trash or messes anywhere on the outside patio.) While we were dining a sweet young Lady came around to make sure we had everything we needed and when we were finished with our meal she came back around and took our trash...now I have to tell You this is better service at a Burger Joint than many Fine Dining establishments ! BIG KUDOS to In-n-Out for WONDERFUL training of their employees ! The burgers are amazing! I have never had a burger that was so good. The French fries are also my favorite type. The one thing that is bad is the milk shakes. They are my least favorite. Just as I was ready to join the drive-thru lane, I noticed that there was a parking spot open. It was designated for EV Parking only. Thank goodness I drive a Tesla! This store has made mistakes on my orders, twice in the past. My recent visit was my last straw and third strike. I have only ordered via drive-thru here, and last week, I ordered 4 pup patties for my 2 dogs. Upon receipt, I was horrified. The patties had onions on it. I was not sure, so I actually tried what looked like an onion and low and behold. It was! I was so shocked (as you may or may not know, dogs can die from consumption of onions). I parked my car and walked into the store and told an employee who apologized and said they'll make a new batch for me and told me they cannot take back the patties and told me to keep it then another employee came and took it from me. I was very confused, and I do not think the employees understood how serious of an issue this could have equated to ... had I not noticed the onions and given it to my dogs. They did not even give me a refund for my order or for this mistake. Had I just trusted the order and given my dogs the pup patties upon receipt, my pets could have been in toxic danger, potentially leading to death. I am really saddened by these experiences, I absolutely love in n out and it has been a pregnancy craving of mine as of late and this Brea location is the closest one but I honestly do not understand why they are having so many mishaps and the lack of professionalism has me appalled. Suddenly craved some In-and-Out today and arrived around 11:15am and was able to beat the lunch rush. Going through the drive-thru was a breeze with fast and friendly service. Be sure to look for signs directing you to the drive-thru entrance if entering off of Randolph as it would've been tricky without them. I always go with the cheeseburger with grilled onions and "light" fried french fries (not a fan of crispy fries) with extra salt packets. I love their powder-like salt for my soft fries. So glad we have more local location to patron in the future. Will definitely check out the dining room next time. read more

Not sure what's wrong with this location, but the quality of their food is disappointing every time. The parking and drive thru is madness. Avoid peak hours. Because In-n-Out's have very established and high standards in their dining areas and service levels; they are definitely the "Go-to" burger and fries establishments! Unfortunately, sometimes because of their popularity during peaks meal times, service slows down, tables aren't cleaned quickly enough, and available napkins or condiments are temporarily unavailable. In-N-Out, In-N-Out, that's what our hamburgers all about! This location has been open for several months now and I've been here at least a handful of times at various times of the day. The dining area has never been full to capacity and the lines haven't been crazy (at most I've waited 5 minutes). Can't say the same about the drive thru though because that like is wild - especially during peak hours! If you're in a hurry, best to order inside. Really can't go wrong with anything you order at In-N-Out. My go to is always the cheeseburger with grilled onions, whole grilled onions (I love my onions), and chopped chili + fries + strawberry or vanilla shake. DO NOT go into the drive thru on a weekend unless you want to get stuck, unable to leave. This review is focused mainly on the employee Jeffrey WR, he was the cashier taking the order with a smile, and getting the place cleaned up. You can tell he's still learning some of the details of his duties, since a few other staff explained what needed to be done. Saw him pick up some minor trash around some tables and managed the order perfectly. If Disney could own a burger place and train their staff with the Disney thoughtfulness, In N Out would be it. Great training as usual. As The late, Great Anthony Bourdain said, this is the burger he always goes to after arriving in LA. Can't beat the fresh ingredients, and the super friendly staff. What a huge disappointment- my whole order was a disaster! I drove 15 min to get there, waited in line another15- drove home with my family dinner and darn it- I ordered a double hamburger with only ketchup- hope they put cheese on it - so my 5 year old refused to eat- then I had to try and make him dinner-I have never received bad French fries- but of course I did today. So no one wanted to eat their fries. They were crunchy hard how extremely frustrating to pay money for dinner travel and come home and not get the quality meal. You thought you were going to get. Sure, I'll be that guy. This In-N-Out kind of sucked. In-N-Out holds themselves to a high standard and they usually succeed, but this place was kind of a mess. Here's a couple issues: -All fries were barely cooked. This isn't s dig at In-N-Out fries. I usually like them. They just rushed the fries out when they needed a few extra minutes -Half of my burger had grilled onions. Problem is, I didn't order them. Kind of messy/sloppy on the grill -My coke was a diet coke. That was heartbreaking. I've been to super busy In-N-Outs and they can handle the pressure- maybe 1 issue. But 3? No thanks. Lots of great reviews, so there's a chance it was an off night, but either way it was one of my most disappointing In-N-Out trips in awhile. read more

It's open!!! The drive thru line is a bit confusing at first, but they have tons of signs posted throughout the parking lot to direct you. It's great that they built this location in such a huge plaza to accommodate more cars! For the time being, it isn't too crowded, but I'm sure the masses will start pouring in soon enough once they realize it's officially open. They seem to value drive thru faster. On another occasion, I was in the drive thru lane where it was split. People came after me on the other lane and still got to merge in front of me. It's Saturday night.. we get to the drive thru at 12:30. We literally waited almost a full hour in line! The line wasn't even that long so that's weird. My husband and I always said Brea would be the PERFECT place for us to live, if only it had an In-n-out. And alas, our dream has come true! I LOVE THIS PLACE. I was an associate for a few years so I will say that my standards are pretty high, and this location has never disappointed! Quality, friendliness & cleanliness 100%. I've gone into the dining room a couple of times but I usually go through the drive through. That covid life got me used to just eating in my car and strangely I've come to enjoy it. The handheld person is always so welcoming. I come with my 3yo son who's really social and likes to say hi to everyone and they always are genuinely kind. He also usually orders his own food and they are super patient with him, even when they have no idea what he's saying. They always go the extra mile to offer him a hat and stickers. My go to is a double single with onions, fries & a small Dr. Pepper. My son gets a cheeseburger, spread only cut in 1/2 with fries and a small lemonade (imagine a 3yo saying all that and jumbling it all up haha!). You can blame my husbands order on me. He gets a 3x2, no tomato, whole grill & grilled onions with fries and a Diet Coke. We come here almost weekly and will continue to. read more
