Limp and mushy in the middle. It doesn't look like they time the fries. A big mistake if the person that is making them is new to making them. Christian & Josh were absolute sweethearts. Me and my Bf showed up around 9pm & we haven't been to a five guys in so long it took us a minute to look through the menu. Christian was patient and kind. I recently tried Five Guys for the first time, and I am not sure why I waited so long. It was fantastic. Juicy burgers cooked to order with your choice of ingredients. I keep mine simple with ketchup, mustard, pickles, tomato, extra cheese, and grilled onions. The meat patties were the size that I like, not overwhelming. I might order the "little burger" next time, because I ended up getting full and giving some of the leftover meat of the original size burger to my pugs. The regular sized burger is double patties! Keep that in mind, as I did not know. Now for my favorite part: THE FRIES!! Wow, such yummy fries! Not your average French fry. They are skin on and golden and oh so delicious. I've heard it said that some Five Guys locations won't season their beef, but I asked the register and she said they would be able to season the patty for me with salt. She was very accommodating and asked if I'd like the salt to be added while grilling or after it's been grilled. I appreciate the clarification and accuracy on getting my order correct since the prices are so high! Have been here several times and everything time I come the cashier(who is fine ass hell by the way) is always friendly, funny and always remembers my name. I really like how he remembers my name it means a lot to me. Also, he always asked me how I am doing and actually cares and listens. I truly appreciate that. Now, the food is always clean and fresh and I love their Cajun fries their is a must every time I go there, all their food is amazing but I live for their veggie patty it's amazing and taste great. I love to eat the peanuts when I go in to get my food, and sometimes when I gave my Secretary go in and get my good I have her bring me some back. Yeah this is a disappointment from what they used to be.. first the burgers used to be juicy and tasty, and now they're dry and flavorless and cooked to well done. I wanted a juicy medium double cheeseburger and it very disappointing finding out they only do them to well done. I get it they don't want any health risks with a medium cooked burger, but they're just dry now and way over priced. I mean $13.50 for a bacon double cheeseburger and $5 for way too over seasoned Cajun fries. I ordered a small Cajun fry and watched the dude put a small cup of fries in the bag and then dump another scoop just straight into the bag causing the whole bag to become soaked in peanut oil and grease. They use MSG in their Cajun seasoning which makes them way to salty to even enjoy and they use fresh potatoes which ruins the whole point of fresh fries. I hope the manager sees this review cause this was soo upsetting getting crap food that was way over priced. Spent $47 on 2 bacon double cheeseburgers, a "small fry" and a shake. read more

For a location that seemingly gets smacked around review-wise, this guy had an amazing experience with the 5 guys! Located at State College and Chapman near plenty of other Fullerton heavyweights (After's Ice Cream, etc.), 5 guys is easy to spot. I had an order of over 20 burgers and fries for the office, so I called in advance--spoke with Andrew, who was just awesome. Because of the size of the order, he explained he couldn't start until I paid for the order, so he guided me to place the order online to expedite things. I am a sucker for good customer service and 5 guys stepped up to the plate big time! For that reason alone, I will definitely keep 5 guys in the office luncheon rotation. I agree with the other reviewers that 5 guys is a bit expensive-- getting a burger, fries, and a soda will put you around $12-13, way too expensive, considering at in-n-out and the habit, you can get a combo for a lot cheaper. For some reason I'm not in burger mode anymore (see my previous reviews), but I plan to mix in 5 guys again for sure. The burgers were delicious, with the bacon cheeseburger leading the charge. I liked the taste of the burger, plenty of fixings, good portion, and the fries weren't bad at all. Today I got a Bacon Burger with everything/no tom. I ordered a Regular Fries and a Regular Drink. Burger, Drink and Fries set me back $15.74!!!! Compared to other decent burger joints the Habit or In-N-Out, that's extremely expensive. I'm not sure how they stay in business with prices that high. The food was OK but not very tasty.
