I bypassed the electronic ordering boards, I don't know what they're called. Whatever they are, I went to the counter. A bunch of young folks were lining up to punch away on those things. There was no one at the counter so I did what any other thinking person above the age of 35 would do, I went old school. Of course I got my order in before the young ones were able to peck. SMH...yes, I know how they communicate. The young disheveled employee met me at the counter with a look on his face like, why are you bothering me. Despite his unprofessional attitude, my order was correctly taken. "That'll be $13.11". Wow I thought. What's going on here? When did a Big Mac and small fries skyrocket to break the $10 mark? For that matter, when did it break the $5 mark?! I admit, I haven't had a Big Mac and fries in a few years. But $13?? Now mind you, this observation is my coming off an earlier vist to In-N-Out.
