The burgers have a cleaner flavor than the normal fast food places, but still nothing special, and smaller in size. The fries are some of the worst in the business in my opinion, they are very bland, not much crispness. They are extremely efficient in the ordering process. Handle with care! Love the classic burgers at In-N-Out Burgers. I always ask for fried onions in mine and my Gestational Diabetic Wife gets her DoubleDouble n cheese with no bun and they gladly wrap it in lettuce. (Lots n lots of lettuce! Perfect!!) I've got the bad habit of watching the crew work while we wait for our order, 67 this time. (They got up to 105 by the time we left) I'm guessing that's 100 orders an hour or 100 BPH (Burgers per hour) at least. While I was watching I notice one of the hard working managers stepped off the line and proceeded to do some counter cleaning and stuff. Of course he didn't take off his gloves! Oh my! I thought for sure he would return to the line but NOOO!! He stopped and washed his hands and put on fresh gloves. I just love to see them properly Handle the food with care and clean gloves. It's too often that food service workers get the feeling that the gloves are on to protect their hands as often as other gloves (like garden gloves) are used for. So Kudos!! Today I went to this location and wanted to use the remaining balance on my gift card. The cashier Chris H said my gc did not work and I told him I called and told him the balance on the card. He left the register and came back and said his manager told him it would be best if I paid with another form of payment. There was a long line of cars so I didn't want to hold up the line but I was pretty irritated he would tell me that, he didn't even try to figure it out. I came home and called the card balance # on the back of the card and yes I do have money left on my card. I paid for my meal in full. What is the appeal of in and out burger? The fries we skippable, even my 12 year-old who was gung ho to go here admitted this. The burger was of the quality of, say one of those re-heatable burgers from a gas station. Ok, maybe not quite that bad, but nothing warranting the masses of humanity at this restaurant on a Thursday. The lady taking our order was nice. Sometimes it's only good to have four choices for food. We are from Minneapolis, MN and were in Mesa visiting family so we had a large group All of us were just so impressed that kids in Arizona are possibly even nicer than MN kids. Our daughter is 15 and wanted a picture with one of the employees in the cute uniform so he went along with it. His name was Pedro and he was just so pleasant, courteous and respectful. Took all the kids here today which, I must say, is crazy. We got lucky though and walked in with nobody in line. The staff was beyond friendly and patient with the little ones. We fed the whole family for under $40, which is rare also. Would have given 5 stars but the fries seemed to be a little below the usual standard. I am 36 years old. And today, I only just popped my In-N-Out cherry...and it was everything I thought it could be. There are many burgers out there...different buns, a shit ton of condiments and toppings...with out without cheese, and the list goes on to infinity. However, while you can get delicious burgers everywhere, it is the "homestyle" burger experience I've always craved and had a special place in my heart for...and that's what In-N-Out is, a home burger. To start the fries are fresh cut and fried, and they're generous with them...nice and potato-ey, all you need is a thimble of ketchup and you're golden. The burger itself is really good...satisfying, tasty in all the right amounts - from the soft and pillowy yet grease grilled bun, to the perfectly melted cheese, grilled onions diced, the animal sauce, chilled tomato and crisp lettuce, to the juicy and all so savory burger patties...the flavor is balanced. I had a Double Double Animal Style for my first, and I wasn't dissapointed. The most pleasing thing about my experience eating here was the staff...the kitchen is visible and small and I count 14 eager, articulate, and super friendly workers...I must say, they run a well oiled machine; all were busy and they were coordinated as a team. The cashiers were quick, friendly, and efficient...someone walked up to the side of the counter off to the side pf the line and they were on it yelling to the interior, "counter service!" In-N-Out burger is a cult classic food, the lines are outrageous, the parking lot is full, and the prices are low. My boyfriend was super excited to come here on our trip and I was just meh about coming. The fries are fresh made, but cooled super quickly while we were eating. I ordered a combo with a burger animal style, he ordered just a regular cheeseburger. He liked the food and thought that it was pretty good. It was a thinner patty that I like, but he doesn't eat much meat, so it was perfect for him. I suppose the hardest part of this particular In-N-Out burger is that the parking lot is too full and not well designed. The drive thru was packed and flowing out to the street, then the lot for the actual restaurant was closed off, even though there were spaces, making it take a lot longer to park and adding to the congestion. read more

The only thing I was not please with was waiting for 10 minutes on an order when I was the only one inside the restaurant. I've been dragged here four times now in seven years living nearby. It's a typical In n Out. Freezer burnt burgers on dollar store rolls with literally burnt fries. I've yet to see an In n Out that doesn't burn their fries black. They must fry them and then set them on fire. The burgers are what you'd expect from a long frozen burger. Very dry, hard, and tasteless. "We never freeze our beef!" Then who does freeze it? Because the ones you serve are freezer burnt. Every single time. Last time, I decided to try a strawberry shake. Worst shake ever. It was like milk with sugar poured in it, so sweet my eyes watered. A shake is icecream and milk, how'd you mess that up? I'm guessing the strawberry shake is vanilla icecream, milk, and strawberry syrup. Like a child wanted to make a shake, but had no idea how and threw candy in a blender. In and Out is not as good as Burger King, which is the official 3 star fast food burger. This place is garbage and so are all the others. Why is there a line at these places?! How do you review a chain? This is an In-N-Out Burger. You either like it or you don't. This one is just like the myriad of others, but it is the closest one to my home and most convenient for lunch. The building is the same design as most of the ones I've seen open in the past few years: there's limited seating inside and always people doing the "vulture" thing during lunchtime. The employees are efficient and helpful, and the food is exactly what you'd expect. I like my Double Double "Animal Style" with chopped chilis on it, and when I have been running a lot and can afford the extra calories, I get my fries "Animal Style" as well -- don't forget a fork and a place to sit... they can get messy.
