In N Out is a staple of Southern California, it's part of the make up and fabric that makes us who we are. With that being said, it doesn't get fresher or tastier than In N Out hands down. They will cook your burger they way you want, have secret menus, specific lingo to order a burger a certain way "Animal Style" will grill your onions, and have fresh cut fries not to mention incredible shakes. Nothing is ever frozen and the turn over here is ridiculous...Always long lines. With that being said, once you've had In N Out it is something you will crave. ALL of my friends that either moved away or came to visit have tried In N Out Burgers and the first thing they tell me when I talk to them is they miss In N Out. Friends and Family that fly in will demand that we stop by In N Out before I take them home or to their hotel. It's that crazy absolutely absurd in fact. The busiest In N Out is in Barstow on the way to Las Vegas. It's got to be the largest I've ever seen and when you see the hordes of people in line, eating, and waiting for their food, you begin to understand what I'm writing. Ask just anyone in SoCal about In N Out Burger and the first thing they'll say is, "Oh man you haven't had it? Let's go, I'll take you there right now!" For people that try to compare other SoCal original burger joints like Fatburger, Tommy's, etc to this place...Come on and get real. It's like saying your Honda is just as good as that Acura, or your Camry is just like that Lexus, or the Nissan is the same as that Infiniti...NOT! Did I mention it's cheaper than McDonalds, Fatburger, Tommy's, or Carl's Jr? $2.50 gets you a double double while $2.99 a big mac? I don't get it. WORST In N Out experience EVER. I have never had a bad one until this location. First of all, they were not overly busy (4 people were in the line ahead of us) and the drive thru was not backed up when we arrived. It took 15 minutes for them to get us our burgers. Once we had them, they were extremely overcooked and the one that was supposed to have cheese did not have any. I was too hungry to bother with going back inside and asking them to throw a piece of cheese on it. Even the buns did not taste right. This is my favorite In-N-Out in California. Obviously, as a California kid, I worship the In-N-Out burger and bemoan the fact that I can never finish a burger (much less a 4x4), animal style fries, AND a shake. It's just too much deliciousness to fit inside one person. My driving school was in the same shopping center as this In-N-Out and let me tell you, it was a fatty week for me. Who doesn't love some good In-N-Out. I came here during the lunch rush because the job I was working at happened to end right at lunch. I was worried about it being mobbed because of all the high schools in the area. I decided to go for it and got into the drive through line. I was worried I'd be trapped in some never ending hell because the line looked long. In-N-Out though knows customer service though. They had their waitress walking down the line of cars taking orders ahead of time to expedite the process. It took me no more then 5 minutes to get through the line. I was so happy. I got really high after work (I've had a long day) and then my car was overheating and I needed to pull over and let it cool down. I am super broke, but In-N-Out was right there and I had to wait for my car to cool down anyway. Plus its pretty cheap. I got what I always get, a grilled cheese (no tomato & grilled onions), fries, and a dr. pepper. It was pretty delicious. There was a creepy guy looking at me from the corner. That part of the meal wasn't that great. One time I was in this particular In-N-Out and I met a homeless guy, Samuel, who had a nickname- "Empty" -because he's "always on his way to get more." Alcohol, that is. He seemed pretty drunk. He loved me though and looked at all of my tattoos (and also apologizing every time he touched my flesh, how sweet!) and nick-named me "Kitty." Don't go any later than twelve. They're understaffed towards closing. Wait times are twice as long. It took fifteen minutes for a burger and fries. They gave me a fraction of the fries they normally serve. Because of the hour, all the workers didn't move with the same efficiency as during the day. Overall terrible experience. I grew up in the OC so this is where I had my FIRST In N Out experience. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was the day when fast food began to have a whole new meaning! These days whether I'm at another fast food joint or a fancy smancy restaurant, I find myself comparing whatever burger I'm eating to In N Out's. Their burger patties are always juicy and flavorful and the buns are nicely toasted. The animal style onions are grilled to perfection, the lettuce and tomato add a refreshing balance to the burger, and the sauce is deliciously sweet and tangy. Next to McDonald's the fries are as good as it gets. The natural taste of the potato is still there and I love that it's crispy on the edges but soft in the middle. For people that like really crispy fries you can ask for them well done. You can even ask for them animal style and they'll come topped with grilled onions and their sauce! read more

After moving away from California, whenever I go back going to In-N-Out is a MUST! This time, we planned to go the night we arrived after a late flight and we were happy to find many locations open late -- they were still busy, but we got our burgers, fries and drinks quickly nonetheless... and they were just as amazing as we had remembered!! We made another trip back before our trip was over, this time during the day, and the service was still top-notch as well as the food. My husband FINALLY had his very first "Flying Dutchman" (despite having had this as a recommendation for years!) and he absolutely loved it! I think it went very well with his other burger too ;) When going to an In-N-Out the regular menu is definitely fantastic, inexpensive and a treat... but check out some of the "secret menu" options for food and drinks if you don't already have a go-to order here! I absolutely LOVE the strawberry shake here, but I recently found out they do a "Neapolitan" shake too with strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla -- worth checking out next time I'm near an In-N-Out for sure! read more

Great tasting burger. Very simple and basic but quality is good. Lettuce,tomato and spread. Fries were good but you need to eat them while hot otherwise they become rubbery. They are fresh though sometimes a little to salty. I like this location but sometimes the parking is pretty chaotic. Hard to get in and out(no pun intended). Getting back on to Chapman Ave heading East is almost impossible. Nice place to hang out with friends. A 3 and a half star would be fair. read more

I just think that if they would come out with a grilled chicken sandwich and prepared it as lovingly and fresh as they do the rest of the menu, they would capture a whole new audience. The customer service is excellent, the wait times are normal, the dining area is moderate, there's a little bit of outdoor space, the drive thru lines are sometimes long, it sometimes takes a while to get your food, and the food is always excellent and always exactly what you ordered.
