I went to this salon with a friend from London a few days ago to get a mani pedi. We immediately felt uncomfortable when we sat dow to do our pedicures the people who work there are Vietnamese but spoke English well but chose to speak primarily in their language and you could feel the energy that they were not speaking nice,not just about us but other people in the shop as well. On top of that it was not a great manicure or pedicure. I just think the customer experience here was not enjoyable at all...on a good note I can say they are hygienic and I wasn't hurt even once when clipping my nails. But I still wouldn't go back because I felt extremely uncomfortable because they seemed like they were talking poorly about the customers (I don't know what else it could mean if one person says something and 3 people look at the client and start to laugh with eachother?) read more

Before you stop reading this, go toNAIL ATELIER!! I used to come to "I-nails" often with my sisters and mom when I lived near by. Then, when I moved I kept coming by here because up until recently I thought they were great. Lily is really the only one that seems to do designs. Everyone seems to rush the process of getting your nails done though, which explains the horrible results. I was unhappy with my nails the last couple times I came in here but I thought, what the heck, it can't always be perfect anyways, maybe next time will be better...but NOPE. I went here on mistake - I knew iNails had two locations, but I didn't realize how close they were and mistakenly called the wrong one. I've been to their 5900 Hollywood location, and that must be the newer one. In comparison, this location is very cramped and dingy. The space is very small and they're obviously trying to fit in as many seats as possible to maximize the amount of customers they can attend to at once. I feel as if my technician was new - several times the other technicians were standing next to him watching. My review so far seems pretty negative, however, the reason I'm giving 3 stars is that I waited over 3 weeks to get my nails filled, because about 2 weeks ago I *ouch* smashed my pinky in a door and my nail is, literally, hanging on by a thread. Not the acrylic, my real nail! I was very nervous to go in and have them filled, and not really sure what to do (should I just ask them to remove the acrylic and leave my sad little broken nail? Go ahead with it and let them fill the nail again?) I ended up doing the latter, but not without being dramatically concerned and asking the technician to be very careful. Careful he was!! Although my finger had been sore on and off these past weeks, he worked very gingerly with it and the result is a filled in nail which is no longer lifting from my actual skin. Yay! Problem solved! I'll go back to this location because of the price and it's pretty much the same distance as the 5900 location from my apartment, but iNails at 5900 will be my first choice. read more

I liked how my nails looked, but they didn't hold up that well, and I kind of got pressured into getting services I didn't actually want (acrylics with gel polish instead of just a gel mani) because I'd never had gels before and didn't understand. Idk why this nail salon has such bad reviews! I came in on a Saturday and it was pretty packed and busy. However, I was helped out right away. I came in for a gel manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow threading (treat yo self!) and it all came out to $51 which was not bad at all. Tina worked on my mani/pedi and she was the sweetest woman ever! We made some small talk and she even redid my toes for me when I (like an idiot) shoved my foot into my flip flop and ruined the entire pedicure (oops). What was even better was that she redid it for me with a smile :) no attitude, no eye roll...I've gotten that before in other salons. Everything came out great! Joanne worked on my eyebrows and she did a very good job. I'm usually very wary about getting my brows threaded because a lot of places have made my brows veryyyy thin. Joanne did everything so painlessly and quickly. It came out great as well! She went a little thinner than I asked but it actually looked better that way. She was very friendly and would always explain what she was about to do next. I found my go-to nail and threading salon. I was convinced today by the awesome service and reasonable prices. Horrible experience. Never coming back. They had me waiting almost an hour even though I had appointment. I showed them a pic of baby pink nails with glitter and then I turned around to a girl next to me with ombre French tip that I liked so I told the lady I wanted that instead. ( She wasn't painting my nails yet so there was time). She was talking to her coworker in another language and didn't pay attention when I was calling her 5 Times!!!!! Until she finally decided to turn from her conversation I pointed to the girl's nails and told her I wanted those instead. She just said yeah yeahh later later but she did powder first and then she painted baby pink so I told her that tone of pink seemed too dark for ombré French tip so her face dropped and said but you showed me the picture, that's the color. So she totally didn't pay attention to me when I told her about the change!!!! I was so upset. She said she could fix it but will take long to remove powder so I just let it slide and continued with the style I asked in the beginning because I was wasting too much time already. The conversation with the coworker continued the whole time and a lot of times she would pause for seconds and was just talking with her friend so I ended up spending 3 hours of my day in that salon!!! The worst part is that I wasn't happy with the results. Two nails looked very messy and I didn't even notice until I got home since I just wanted to leave since I had things to do and wasted a lot of time there. Oh and forgot to mention, they totally skipped me. I was still waiting to be called and three ladies came in before me and let them in first!!!! Should have read the reviews before going, what a lame experience. I got a gel manicure and pedicure, super busy so I had to wait, but I didn't make an appointment so I get it. My issue is with the actual service. The pedicure lady cut my toe while cutting my nail on the big toe. She was apologetic so I asked her nicely to be careful when then cutting my cuticle as my skin is delicate. But then she motioned for me to put my feet back in the water and it was scalding hot! Omg...really? Why did you reheat the water? She also answered her cell while working, rude and distracted. Clearly she can't afford to be distracted if she already cut me and burned my left foot before she got on her cell phone. Then the manicurist: I warned her I cut easy and to go slow. She was trying to cut my cuticles with alarming urgency and clumsiness, all the while feverishly jabbering at the lady next to us who never acknowledged she was being spoken to. And of course she says "ok" and nods her head in agreement to what I just said, just to cut me too...several times. Every time she doused my nicked fingers with alcohol it burned like hell. Lady look at my skin and hear my words, I CUT EASILY SO SLOW DOWN. She also turned off my massage chair and never turned it back on, so I got all of 30 seconds of massage while I sat for an hour. I thought maybe once I was done I could relax for a few minutes, but no, she rushed me out of the chair like I had over stayed my welcome. They also don't use hot towels and don't use a scrub on your legs unless you pay extra. The massage of both hands and feet were way too short and done with as much haste and as little care as humanly possible only to then have the lotion scraped off of me by a crisp, dry towel. How relaxing....the paint job is decent, but not great and the service was terrible and the environment hectic. I'd never go back or recommend this place. They're lucky I'm nice and still tipped $10, because it's way more than they deserve. read more

Should've read reviews before a desperate pedicure walk-in. The entire process, from sit down to painting my nails was TWELVE minutes. I know because I text when I sat down so I had a time reference. Soaking water was cold. I soaked for maybe 30 sec before she squirt my toes with acetone. She got so close to making my big toe bleed as she pulled the side skin of my nail. I naturally said "whoa!" And she chilled out. No top coat until she tried to put my sandals on 2 minutes later and I said "is it dry? I have to walk car can I wait?" She agreed to let me sit considering there was no line & then realized they looked like shit so she added a top coat. Massage chair didn't work. I don't get pedicures just because. I can easily paint my own toes. It's supposed to be a relaxing moment, longer than a few minutes. I won't be back. read more

Got to INails at 10:02 (they open at 10). I requested a mani-pedi (currently priced at $28), and they told me to pick my nail polish in the front corner of the room. The selection back there was AWFUL. The nail polishes were cheap knockoffs, crusty and had clearly been sitting there for years. I then notice that the other customers (all of whom had arrived after me) were looking at a rack full of nicer, newer polishes (OPI and Essie). I switch out the gross crusty bottle for a nicer one from that rack and sit down on a chair in their waiting room. As I am sitting there, all the other later customers get taken care of first. I end up sitting for 20 minutes before I'm taken back. Everyone else was taken immediately after arriving. The woman sits me down, files one nail. and then excuses herself because "she has an appointment." I never see her again. I wait another 10-15 minutes at the manicure station, and then a woman takes me to a pedicure chair. She botches her job cutting my cuticles, questions my choice of "light nail polish," and then does a very slapdash job painting my toes. Another woman comes and begins to do my nails. She puts a pillow (no pillowcase) on my lap and puts a bowl full of water on top of the pillow (and thus on top of my legs) for me to soak my nails. Of course, the woman doing my pedicure has me lift up my leg, and the bowl of water tips and spills all over me. The pedicure woman, just finished with my second coat of polish, tells me she will come back later to put on the top coat "once the polish dries." I tip both ladies 20% because I know that working in the nail care industry is a lot of work for little payoff. I hope that the tip will be an incentive to finish the job properly. The manicure finishes without any issue about 45 minutes after my toenails had been painted. The manicurist then begins to take out my shoes for me to slip my feet in, and I tell her that I don't have a top coat on my toes. I wait another 15 minutes for the pedicurist to come back just to put the top coat on. She does another slapdash job, and then asks me if I'm able to leave. Taken aback, I say that I can, and she pulls the tissue wrapped in between my toes OVER MY WET NAILS, ruining the pedicure. She then says "whoops" and wipes the goopy polish off with a dry tissue. There is tissue and polish residue all over my toenails. She then puts 2 coats of color on top of the residue (doesn't use nail polish remover, alcohol, or a base coat), and then slaps some top coat on top, puts on my shoes and tells me I can leave. I am not a picky customer. I got the mani-pedi because I have a foot model audition coming up and I wanted my feet to be in primo condition. Unfortunately, I have a chunky pedicure with botched toenail beds to show for it. read more

I always went in for a FULL SET, Workable length, no color, clean and simple. Each time I was rushed in and out, given horrible service and my nails always had cracks, scratches, they were lifted (improperly glued) and the nail tech didn't file underneath the nail. There were so many issues that I was left with no choice BUT to leave this review. I've always had great nail experiences but this one was a travesty! This was perhaps the worst nail experience of my life. I had first called ahead to tell them what time I would be coming and they 'booked' me in. When I got there, there was a huge line. The receptionist advised me it was fine and that I would just wait for 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, I asked what was happening since I had booked ahead and they said just kept saying '5 minutes, 5 minutes'. I was waiting 30 minutes before I was sat down despite calling ahead. I was also wanted ombre nails and had a photo reference that I showed to the nail techs and receptionist beforehand (I also mentioned this on the phone when I 'booked' my appointment). They advised me it would be no problem and I also double checked with the nail tech once I was sat down because I knew a couple of the other salons in the area don't do ombre nails as it does require more skill than regular gel/shellac nails. The nail tech doing my nails said that she could do it and that it was no problem. First alarm bells was when she was filing my nails - after filing she had filed a completely different shape on my left hand compared to my right hand. I had to hold up my hands and point out that one hand had pointier almond shaped nails and the other had round nails before she corrected this. As she started to paint my nails and apply the ombre color. I noticed that her technique was completely different to anything I have had before (When I had ombre nails in the past they either used an airbrush or a sponge to blend). She was painting on the color with a brush and then just dabbing it using her finger. I let her carry on as perhaps her technique was just unfamiliar to me and would result in a great ombre. After the 2nd coat, I asked her if it would blend more because what I was seeing was literally a jagged line that was nowhere near blended and she assured me it would. I kept watching expecting it to eventually evolve into the photo reference I had given. It never got there. She was just about to apply the top coat when I spoke up and told her it was not what I asked for. It was truly awful and had no gradual blend whatsoever. If I had more time to get my nails redone/color remove, I would have left but given that I just needed it done for an event just a couple of hours later I asked her to get a sponge actually showed her how to do ombre nails dabbing in the color on top of what she had already done. I walked her through how to do the rest of my nails which resulted in me having perhaps 7 layers of polish on my nails by the time I was done but at least then they looked a lot better. If she had been honest and just told me that she didn't know how to do ombre nails then it would have been fine and I would have either asked for something else or gone elsewhere. As it stands, she lied to my face and then I actually had to show her how to do her job. read more

Came here on a Tuesday night at 7PM because I needed to get a broken nail fixed, as well as change my polish color because my nails were chipping. I've came here before, and had a decent experience, and since I was in the area, I thought why not. I left here so upset with the way my nails turned out. The man who fixed my broken thumb nail, made the acrylic SO thick and lumpy, unlike the rest of my nails that I had gotten done elsewhere. Not only that, but he painted my nails in such a rush. He was not friendly, and was even coughing in my face as he was doing my nails. As soon as he was done painting my nails, he immediately said "you pay now" and I was like...uhh okay...he offered to "help" me and as he was getting my card out of my wallet, he scrapped some of my polish off my nail as they were not even dry yet! He looked at it, and tried to even it out with clear coat- which obviously did not work. After I had paid and signed the receipt, he left to go home.
