I just moved to the area and needed to find a place to get a simple gel manicure and pedicure. I called before to find out pricing ($27 for gel manicure -- a steal in LA) and to schedule an appointment. I was able to find parking in their small lot behind the building and entered the salon, greeted by Steven. I was charged an additional $10 for "removal" of my previous gel nails because he was convinced they were not my natural nails with just gel polish, but he ended up fixing two of my semi-broken nails for free so I was grateful for that. My gel nails and toes look alright, but that's all I need. Nobody is staring at my nails as hard as I am -- ultimately, I'm happy and will return soon. read more

It is going one year now, the end of summer 2026. The older lady who wears glasses and her name sounds like Eve or Ebie peformed my eyebrow service for the first time only. My regular eyebrow shop was closed so I went to this place to have my eyebrow done , instead of the woman saying that she does not know how to do eyebrow and that this service is not part of her skilled service, she take off all the hair off my eyebrow with the wax and waxing multiple times only leaving a little hair closer to the nose on both brows and even so, she thinned out that little part that was left. What she did after was disturbing!!!! I did not know this until few days after the makeup was leaving my face: she used some kind of black makeup to give me the illusion of hair on my eyebrows. I got in touch with her after a month and she told me not to say anything to the manager. I visited to speak with her about it and she pretended as if I came to book an appointment. She told me that she used eyebrow pencil on my brows. Nobody had ever provided eyebrow service and used any makeup on my eyebrow while doing so; nor did I gave her any permission to use eyebrow pencil. I went to have my eyebrow cleaned up expecting to having it waxed and tweezed but instead she used wax off all hair on it and used eyebrow pencil to cover up her actions. After six months and still not seeing the hair growing back I decided to call the manager and all he said was Thank you and I feel that he wants to protect his business and his workers so he had nothing to say. Service is horrible! A bunch of elderly Koreans who can't see or qualify for the job. I was cut 2 times and a simple gel mani and pedi aren't worth the wait to get it done here. I came here because of the $32 special for a mani pedi. When I made my appointment, I requested an acrylic full set and the person on the phone told me it would be $10 more. I said ok. When I got there, the man who was taking care of my manicure told me I had really good nails and didn't need acrylics, and that he would just add an acrylic to one finger to make the length even. He said he was "trying to save me money". I said ok. When I told him that I wanted different colors on each finger, he said it would be $4 more (because I picked out 4 colors. I said ok. When I requested for the colors to be a "French tip style" he said it would be $5 more. I said ok. Throughout my visit, he kept treating me like I was being a burden taking up his time instead of like a valued customer. When we got done with the mani pedi, he told me my total was $84. I accidentally BROKE one of Virgil Nail's gel dryers and they still love me and always treat me nice! I'm sorry Steven! LOL. Phuong is a solid manicurist and always does great work. She takes her time and knows what she is doing. Kate was awesome too but she left. I hear Marie is awesome and I would like to try her out. I rotate who I use as nail artists but overall all their work is usually solid. This salon is not as "fancy" as others, but they know what they're doing and get the job done. They have their system down, they are experienced. You can get in and get out with what you need and it lasts. The gel manicure nails will last the entire 2-3 weeks. Sitting in the massage chairs and getting a spa pedi is one of my favorite things to do for self-care regiment. I highly recommend it! The parking lot can be tight, but there's typically parking. Came here for walkin on a sunday. Me and my mom was the first customers of the day. I told them i wanted natural acrylic and gel pedi. I informed ahead of time I have dryness on the cuticles and needed to be cleaned. I made them aware i dont want any CUTS since it would take long for me to heal. Put in TONS of glue for the acrylic and NEVER CLEANED MY CUTICLES. He said "you don't need to". I was like.. "ahhhh okay" since I'm not confident enough for him to clean it because I feel like he's just going to make so mucj cuts on my fingers. Polishes are OLD. Customers DOESNT wear mask. OVER ALL EXPERIENCE is just poor and i paid $85 including tip for mine. My mom was just unhappy as I was. First time customer and this would be our FIRST AND LAST. I'm not the type to leave ugly reviews but they need to do better. (Currently putting Antibiotics on my foot for all the deep cuts I have). Find something else if you don't want to get infections. They don't sanitize the equipements. I saw the clippers they used on me was used on someone else. Parking is a plus but you need to come early since it gets packed. I paid $17 + tip for a pedicure, and while it's not the greatest thing in the world, for that price I'll take it! While the appearance isn't anything to rave about, I like that Virgil Nail has sanitary plastic bag covers to go around their tubs so that you can be confident that everything is clean. I only received a pedicure when I went, so I cannot speak to their manicures, however almost every seat was filled and more and more customers were coming in throughout my appointment.
