I heard the lyrics to 'someone like you' as I dug into the enormous portion of delicious seafood paella. This place has serious hidden gem potential, their only real downfall that we found is that the service isn't speedy. That isn't to say they aren't nice, our waiter was lovely and polite. But expect to wait for quite some time while you slurp an inca cola because it's gonna be a while. Regardless, so long as you aren't in a rush this place is legitimate and authentic and delicious. I want to try every seafood dish on the menu. I'll go so far as saying that the seafood was much better then the steak dish. I'll be back. I'll be bringing my mother. Much shellfish will lose their lives for a good cause. A tiny note to the owners if they see this: the lighting is a bit harsh with the stark white walls and the streamers are weird. Softer bulbs and a paint job would really make it feel more like a classic Spanish seafood place reminiscent of classics like the infamous Manhattan classic Malagas. This has become our go to spot since moving to WP. The lomo saltado and empanadas ads crowd favorited. Wish they would not fry the empanadas as long though. They can sometimes be too hard. It's a shame because I know they make the dough from scratch. They could also use more filling. The sauces are amazing, especially the pebre. read more

I celebrated my birthday here. Food was mediocre. If you are looking for good Peruvian food, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant; there are many others in the area. The skirt steak was flavorless and the mango salsa salmon tasted like salmon sitting over baby food purée. On top of that, the waitress spilled sangria INSIDE my guest's designer purse and all over her sweater. The waiter tried to make up for it by bringing more sangria and didn't even offer to comp any part of the bill. I guess these people value $30 over maintaining customers. Terrible customer service and I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. read more

Delicious Peruvian ... delivered on time on a Saturday evening! I ordered the Lomo Saltado - steak was cooked perfectly, not tough at all - love the french fries underneath soaked in the juices of the steak, onions & tomatoes. My husband helped himself! He had the Picante Camarones - cooked to perfection, very tender. The tostones were crispy and yummy. We will definitely order from Inca Gaucho again! read more

The restaurant is not so upscale as it appears on its website. However, it is very pleasant and comfortable. It is located in the middle of downtown White Plains --- and it is easy to get to (and there are many municipal parkings around, so I did not find it a problem that it does not have its own parking_) The food was all quite delicious and especially we really enjoy ceviche and we found the portions generous. read more

Let me first say I would have given it "4 stars" if it wasn't for the HORRIBLE empanadas. I ate there a week ago, and was looking forward to it as it was my first time there. My order consisted of Ham&Cheese Empanadas (It sounded different which is why I ordered it; never had ham & chesse kind before.) Also, ordered the Tacu Tacu con Churrasco (Peruvian style rice and beans w/grilled steak); now this was DELICIOUS! The steak was so tender I cut it using flimsy plastic fork & knife. I ordered it well done; it was seasoned well, and the rice and beans is made different than what you may be use to. I would highly recommend this dish. Lastly, I would DEFINITELY suggest the Tres Leche dessert. It was great. I will be going back there again, just will NOT be ordering the empanadas. As for the place itself, it was very nice inside, and convenient if you are walking or driving. read more

I used to work at a Peruvian restaurant which was given five stars and acknowledge by the New York Times. The restaurant was in Manhattan and moved to Brooklyn. As a result, I haven't had Peruvian in forever years to be exact. Hubby surprised me with dinner at this location and I must say it was good. I was craving for a lomo saltado I know it's not totally Peruvian but I was craving for it. Oh my it was delicious! Didn't come with an egg like most Peruvian restaurants or maduros but it was tasty. I wanted to try the Jalea, Ceviche Mixto and papa la hacaina (totally misspelled that) but I wasn't really in the mood for it. I ordered picarones (fried donuts) but they didn't have which was super wack because those are a peruvian favorite. But I'll definitely come again to try it. The restaurant is very pretty and has a warm feel to it. My waiter seemed cranky but he did take great attention to us and was super sweet with the details. We had our 1 year old baby and he catered to her. Anywho, it's a nice spot since I live in manhattan and don't really like traveling to Brooklyn. So this restaurant will do for now. Had a great meal though! Definitely recommend you spot by and give it a try definitely worth traveling too. read more

I'll keep this simple. EVERYTHING we ordered was very tasty, and the portions were very generous. Service very friendly, even if the courses could have come from the kitchen a bit more quickly. Especially since we can easily make a nice lunch from the doggie bag we took home, the prices are quite reasonable. A tad noisy/lively, but a good lively. We will certainly return. read more

We STUMBLED on this place on a Saturday night and fell in love. It is now one of my favorite restaurants in Westchester County. The outside and inside decor is very unassuming and homey--nothing fancy--but the food is amazing! Flavorful, authentic and tastes like home-cooked recipes. It's a combination of Peruvian and Spanish Cuisine. Our favorites are their chicken soup, rice with shrimp, seafood "paella" and Peruvian chicken lo me in with veggies. Went there for lunch with the family yesterday, they had the lunch special. Extremely good food, the portions were slightly small, but very tasty. It was a tad slow, but the quality of the food was superb, they waitress was extremely helpfull and the prices were perfect. Get the ceviche!! The seafood ceviche was to die for! The empanadas were good as well but I will def be going back for the ceviche. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about and they keep the music so loud that it is hard to have a conversation let alone hear the waiter. Both are unfortunate as the food that we had was excellent. Also - if you want the rice pudding - order it when you order your food or they may not have time to make it as it takes about an hour. The most memorable ( not in a good way ) part of the meal was the fruit flies. You read that right. In addition to the confusing decor of various tv monitors throughout the restaurant that pictured an array of landscapes, the music videos being projected on the wall, and odd hot purple up lighting, there was a swarm of fruit flies buzzing around my ravioli for the entire meal, landing on top of it. This was such a disappointing afternoon lunch. Ask for lightly spicy, get it extra spicy. Everything came out all out once instead of how courses are supposed to be served. The server came to our table all of two times and our party had to actually get another server to help us due to our own servers inattentive behavior. I was really looking forward to Peruvian food as well, and it was so disappointing. My app came out at the same time as my other app, and I ordered another app as an entree and was pretty much served all three at the same time. It's not extremely hard to properly time the meal, which was inedible for myself. Luckily another person with my party enjoyed them. But I did not want extra spicy, just light spicy and it was too much after a late night / morning. I came hungry, and left feeing sick. We will not be going back to this restaurant anytime soon. Apparently when it first opened the food was on point and it was just gone down hill. This was my first time, and it was also my last. Will never go back, and none of my friends will either. This place is going from excelente to poor. Today was my fourth time going there and my last one. I wait 1 1/2 hour for appetizers, waiter forgot my drinks, and one of my main courses never came out later He said "the cook 86 sorry" I also returned the fish, smells funny, place looks nasty. Never saw a Manager or restaurant owner to apologize. the dessert was ice cream frozen old not frozen fresh and took another 15 minutes to come out. Hi all. I had a good experience at this place until my bill came. All though not illegal it was very immoral and misleading when the final bill was ready to be added and signed. They put a %18 gratuity on the check even though we were a party of 4. Not a problem I usually tip minimally 20 percent to 30 (if service was beyond or very good). Look at your check before giving your credit card. When you get your credit card bill, it will put the gratuity that they charged then the total which already was totaled with the gratuity added in it and then an option to leave extra and then a new total. So be warned if your not paying attention you will be paying an additional %18 for an additional tip. For that reason I will not be going back. They're really good Peruvian restaurants in Portchester. Aquario, Inca Gaucho and panka. I will stick to these 3. Not sure if the Inca Gaucho are the same owner. read more

Horrible establishment. This is a review only for the restaurant itself and not the food (the food may be amazing, I wouldn't know), since I never got any food. I ordered on Grub Hub. I live 12 minutes away in the next town over. They confirmed my order, and then I waited... and waited... and waited. Over an hour after they confirmed my order I called only to find out that they decided that they didn't want to deliver to me, and they wanted me to pick up the order instead (what?!). I have two small children and couldn't do this. The guy on the phone didn't seem to care at all. They refused to refund my money, refused to take care of the situation with Grub Hub and basically just hung up even after I said I was going to slam them on social media if they refuse to help with the situation. I got a refund through Grub Hub, although really the restaurant should have done this if they didn't want the order anymore. Basically they wanted to take my money, never deliver the food and just hope that I would forget I ordered. Thanks, but no thanks. I will take my business elsewhere. Clearly this restaurant doesn't care about its customers, so one can only speculate the care taken in the kitchen. read more
