Changing my review from five stars to three. Now this place Is a nice place just doesn't feel the same anymore especially when the main reason I went there is because of Kayla she had excellent guest service. I guess she had move on. But Kelso is there she's just as awesome as Kayla. It's just manager Jade. They had ask me to review them on a contest they had a while back. I ask for same favor to review me but she never did. Jade would just say Internet is weak in this building. I told her I nicely did my review at home. Jade then said good idea but still never done it. Also supposed to call back about the Dubia roaches I'm trying to sell to owner but never calls me back on it. I always have to hunt them down,but I give up. She never keeps her word. Changed my review again. Man this place is getting worse. Went there this September 4th, 2017, I figured let's try this again. Lot's of new employees there, but no one welcomes you anymore. And Jade the manager seen me there also pass me by a few times and never said hello, nothing. I guess still mad at me. Instead of being mad you just fix your mistakes, like saying sorry. I shop here for all of our pet supplies. They have a good variety of food, treats, and anything your pet might need. What really sets it apart from some of the other pet supply stores in the employees. When we were shopping for a healthier food for our cat they were able to give us a lot of suggestions and sent us in the right direction. They were also very helpful when I impulsively purchased two turtles from a shady pet store in south sac and found myself unsure of how to properly care for them. read more

Love this place when you have a big dog and want to give it a bath I highly recommend going here you pay and than you pick out what shampoo you want to use and they have this room in the back for you with all of the supplies to make it fast and easy! read more

The staff here do an amazing job. I was about to buy one type of bedding for my hamster when the cashier pointed out that there was equivalent bedding that was $6 cheaper! She did not have to do that and every other pet store I have gone to has not bothered to mention it. They had a good small animal section that is comparable to anything that you would find at Petco or PetSmart. I am definitely coming here the next time I need anything for my hamster. read more

I have been shopping at the Carmichael Store for years but my daughter moved Downtown and I love the New East Sac Shop. This is a wonderful store with a large inventory and nice people. It is great to shop locally without having to go to the big Petco's... Where the staff is hard to find and with vvery little knowledge. I get much better service at Incredible Pets. It is conveniently located next to my Trader Joes, and is just few minutes from my house in Oak Park. I always love sharing stories with the staff. They are always ready with suggestions and tips for products and services, whether the solution is something they offer or not. Their customer loyalty program earns me $5 in store credit on a regular basis with all the food I buy there, plus the occasional specials they run on certain brands saves me enough to keep me from hurting too much in the pocket book. They definitely aren't a bigbox discount store, but then, you get what you pay for ;-) read more

In response to Michael G. I am sure it is possible that someone did not address you the way you liked. However to blame a manager you have obviously not met is unfair to say the least. The manger of this store is one of the nicest people that anyone could ever have the privilege of meeting and had you given her the chance you would see that. I am not sure what is pretentious about quality and expertise. Many pet foods are not as good as you would think. You should watch pet fooled on Netflix it will open your eyes. The owners and the employees of these stores are kind caring people and have been instrumental in our pets health. If you prefer a box store that will tell you what you want to hear that is your choice. For me I will take good caring advice from a family owned company. read more

Was in there yesterday looking for a tarantula for my sons birthday. Im not very fond of spiders at all, lol but the associate by the name of Coulter was so helpful. She spent alot of time helping me and getting together everything i'd need and even went out of her way to call around and ordered me one that would be a better fit for beginning tarantula owners. For 3 years now my family and I have been shopping here. Many bad experiences, but also some very good ones. The "old" management seems to have no people skills, but the rest of the staff seems friendly. 1. The fish are not healthy. I have had to restart my tank now twice due to their unhealthy fish. Don't worry I got store credit... 2. They never do what they say they are going to do. Twice I have ordered something or had it requested to be transferred from their other store and not got a call. I even mentioned my previous experience and almost had to force the salesperson to take my name and number and nothing. 3. The "old"manager actually laughed at my son once when his fish died! That's rude! The employees there at the time apologized for her... Hence the positives, everyone else seems nice and knowledgeable, and caring. The "new" manager seems cool, understanding but still unhealthy fish, no calls on transfers leaves this 25+ year retail vet to give a thumbs down. Now what to do with the store credit... definitely not buying fish! read more

Good selection of quality brands. Staff friendly and helpful until the self-serve dog wash. Bought wash punch card, four washes for $30 saving you $10. Used three of four, will not be back for last wash. Employees basically hover over you while you wash-wash is near back stock. You never know what you will get in wash bucket-bring your own stuff (brushes, shampoos and towels) because you never get the same stuff and are treated like a huge inconvenience when you ask for anything. Was told they were out of Earthbath's Tea Tree Oil & Aloe wash all three visits. The wash was on shelves every time. I wouldn't be so upset if one visit an employee pulled a wash leash off the shelf for an elderly woman who took her three border collies. I will drive a bit further and take my dog to Pet Food Express on Fair Oaks, their wash tubs are more out in the open-not hidden in a small closet. read more

Hands down best pet shop in the Sacranento area. We went to buy a guinea pig from them and they put her on hold for us plus price matched all the accessories to every store in the area. Extremely friendly knowledgable staff that are very enthusiastic and pationate about all their animals. They truly care that their animals are cared for properly and go to a good home. Unfortunately, after having our guinea (Abner) for a few days she showed some signs of bleeding so we immediately contacted the store and they told us to bring her right in so she could be looked after and cared for personally by their small animal specialist. After checking her for any possible implications that could have caused the bleeding they found no health issues and it happened to just be a freak accident that caused her to get a small wound. To be safe they quarantined her by herself and took special care to make sure she was going to be 100% okay. They even personally bonded with her and one employee took her home for a night to keep an extra eye on her. After all was said and done we got our Abner back in perfect shape and could not be more thrilled about the custoner srrvice we received and the passion they have for keeping their animals healthy. Every employee in the store is extremely enthusiastic abput their job and their love of animals. I highly recommend anyone in the area to make this your first and only shop when looking for a new pet or supplies. The staff is great, their prices are great and if it comes to it they will price match anyways! A+ store. They have earned us as very loyal customers and we truly appreciate the work they put into maintaining a fantastic pet shop. read more

Every time I've shopped at this store, I've always found what I needed, the store has always been spotlessly clean and meticulously stocked, and the employees are so incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful that just the awesome service alone will keep me coming back!!! I have to give a special shout-out to their super-friendly and knowledgeable employee, Anthony, who helped me find the best food for my cat who is recovering from being very sick (he LOVES the cat food I bought from here and I know it is helping him to get well!!!) and I, also, had a nice time talking with him and a couple other employees and I learned a lot on my last visit here as well!!! If there was a way to give 10 stars, i would!!! My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place!!! We moved into this neighborhood a little over a year ago and were looking for a good pet store. Well, we found it!!! Last September, my husband and I adopted a rescue Pit Bull Puppy from the local shelter. Lakota was 3 months old and had come from an abused environment. She had a neck wound, most likely from a dog bite. Well, upon meeting Josh, an employee there, he was so helpful. Lakota is now 8 months old and, has been suffering from re-curing yeast infections in her ears, itchy dry skin, etc. etc....Today, after trying several different grain free dry dog foods, Josh suggested FROMM. He also suggested a "raw" food by STELLA & CHEWY'S called, "DANDY LAMB, DINNER PATTIES", to mix with her new dry food. We are hoping to relieve her of her itchy dry skin. The ear infections are now under control due to Apple Cider Vinegar ear rinses, and we also add this to her food and drinking water as well. In addition, we give her plain organic yogurt and fish/coconut oil in her food. However, her dry skin remains. The last dry food she was on was Natural Balance Lamb and Potatoes. Then we learned that Potatoes can also be a problem with making yeast worse. Turning to sugar which the Yeast thrives on. So, Josh recommended these two items which have no grains, potatoes, by-products of any kind. We are hoping in a couple of weeks we will see a positive difference in her skin. We will definitely be giving an update!!! But, I just wanted to let people know that we are thrilled to have found Incredible Pets in East Sacramento!! All of the staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. However, Josh is the "BOMB"!!!! Thank you for all your help for the last 5 months since we adopted Lakota!!! read more

I wish I could give this pet store store more stars, but their customer service is less than satisfactory. The staff is not very knowledgeable about the products, and the way they handle the pet washing stations is very unorganized. Out for three times I've attempted to wash my dog at this store, two times did not go smoothly. The first time they gave up my spot in line to another customer, and the second time they told me I was one minute too late to use the wash, even though I was waiting a few minutes for someone to help me. I asked for them to make an exception, but they wouldn't budge. I got the feeling they don't appreciate the fact that I can easily take my business elsewhere. It's too bad their customer service stinks because I would have liked to make this place my go to pet store. They carry the brands I like (Fromm, etc.), but I have a lot of other choices in the Sacramento Area. read more

I have been here a few times and the staff have been nice and I have been happy with the service, excepting one incident. The one incident involved me getting Advantix, a flea med, recommended to me by staff. I knew permethrin was toxic to cats (i have a cat that plays with my dog), but the staff assured me that it should be fine. Well, I said ok, and spent the $75 on the flea meds. My vet told me it was super toxic, even after it spreads out, although the manufacturer says it's fine. I'm sure the clerk was telling me what the manufacturer told them, but nonetheless, I was a bit pissed to have wasted that much money on the recommendation of the staff, and to poison my cat. I tried to take it back, and they insisted they couldn't. Even though I'm irritated at the whole situation, I have to give the clerk credit for handling the interaction calmly and professionally. She was polite, sympathetic and told me when the manager would be in when I asked. Of course I wasn't a jerk, but she was in a difficult position and handled it extremely well. I probably won't go back in the near future, as I prefer Pet Department Store. Anywho, have to give them credit, although I'm out a bunch of money. read more

I really don't care much for this store. The staff are not as friendly as other places. The prices are high compared to other places and the selection of products is not as good as other places. My favorite place to shop is The Pet Department Store. Also, the last straw for me where Incredible Pets is concerned is that they sell bunnies and they don't care who they sell to - no assurance the bunny will be well cared for. Personally, I think pet stores should leave adoptions to organizations who make a concerted effort to ensure the animals are going into a good home. read more

My family and I LOVE going into Incredible Pets! The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly...we always have a great experience. We have 2 pugs, one of our pugs has extreme skin rashes. She has been on prescription dog food from the vet, which is very expensive and does not work. The staff at Incredible Pets helped us so much with getting her on the right food. Oh, how I WISH I was writing a nice review but no, I am not. I bought what looked like a durable toy for my dog ($25 no less!) but the arm almost came off within 10 minutes of playing with it. No, my dog is not rough on her toys - she still has the toy with the squeeker in it that she came with 10 years ago. But the store would not stand behind its cheaply made products - no refund and no store credit. I tried mentioning that I also bought over $60 worth of dog food at the same time I bought the toy but they still did not offer any kind of satisfaction. It just doesn't seem like good business smarts to turn a loyal customer away for a $25 dog toy. What's that saying - penny wise but pound foolish? I REALLY don't want to but I guess I will have to take my business to the large pet supply chain that was just put in a few doors down. read more

Incredible Pets is one of the best pet stores I have ever been to! We have a dog and use this pet store to purchase our food, toys and treats. We don't spend a ton of money there and just buy the basics, but our dog is treated like royalty when she walks through the door. The employees recognize our dog and call her by name when she enters. They shower her with treats and love. Our dog got sick and we attributed it to the food she was eating. The employees at Incredible Pets spent a lot of time discussing other food options with us and even sent us home with various samples to try. Once we found a brand we liked we went back and they sent us home with a two-week supply of free samples so we would feel really comfortable before making our final decision. Even if we end up paying al little bit more at this pet store it is completely worth it because we feel like valued customers and the employees always do a great job at informing us and making us and our dog feel at home in their store. read more
