I visited India Bhavan for the first time yesterday for the lunch buffet. I have dined at many Indian restaurants and I thought the lunch buffet selection was good. My only suggestion is that the food could have been much warmer. It was room temperature. Maybe that is how it is suppose to be served or maybe we were dining a little late in the lunch hour, 1:00p.m. I will try again but try to dine when it opens and the buffet is fresh. I love naan but it is not enjoyable when cold. The Indian restaurant in Appleton serves their naan right from the oven, not the buffet line. I'd also enjoy a few dessert choices. I may try restaurant again and order off the menu. The atmosphere was very nice. Our service was fine too. read more

Incredible flavors. Nice atmosphere. One of a handful of Indian restaurants where I've been where they use real cardomon, ginger and other spices. Very delicious. You won't be disappointed. We went to this place after a very long drive and where very hungry. We ordered dosa which is usually the fastest thing to arrive from the menu, but it took nearly 45 min for the dosa to arrive! We went at around 8:45 ,so it was not even their closing time and the service was the bad too! No one came to refill the water too ! Four stars for the food and one star for the attitude of the staff. We were a group of four and ordered everything vegetarian from curries to rice. Can't complain much about the food. It's one decent Indian food joint in middle of no where. But the cashier shows too much attitude then needed and that pissed us off. read more

I have been to this restaurant multiple times now and every time I visit it feels like the first. I am never disappointed with the food here! I have been here for both the lunch buffet and dinner and the food is always fresh, full of amazing flavor and spices, and the service is always AMAZING! Everyone who works there goes out of their way to please you and make sure your dining experience is perfect. The staff have even started to recognize me and my roommate because we eat here so often. I can honestly say that this is the best food I have ever tasted and the Tikka Masala here is my favorite dish on the planet!! read more

Best place in Green Bay for some authentic Indian food. Pre-COVID they had a great lunch buffet. It was nice to be able to try dishes you might not be brave enough to order on your own. Not sure if the lunch buffet is still something they are doing. read more

I only ate here once but it was so delicious and they even gave us two free mango deserts! I will definitely be going again.

I'm so glad my boyfriend and I decided to try this place out. Every person we encountered was polite. The server was attentive without visiting our table too often. We tried the mint naan & the rasam soup to start. We also ordered the lamb pepper masala & the lasooni dhaniya murgh. Each dish we tried was authentic and delicious. They also let you choose the level of spice. My boyfriend and I love spicy food so we got everything prepared medium to hot. I would definitely recommend trying Bhavan! I recommend ordering a mango lassi (creamy mango drink) to quell all the heat that builds up from the incredible food. read more

The place to go to for Indian cuisine. Been here multiple times now and waited to review so I could 'average out' my visits and I'll say consistency is on par. The food in every way was delicious from texture to spices. I got the buffet bc I want sure if I'd like anything but found I even liked the okra, chutneys, masala, and so forth. You must try. A good new Indian restaurant that really shows how new it is. First of all I'll say that the food is very good, but there are a few things that keep this restaurant from being great. First is the setting and ambiance are definitely below average. You can clearly tell it used to be a Hooters. Second is the service. Our waiter was very nice and helpful, but we had to wait nearly 10 minutes before getting any attention after sitting. The food was prepared quickly and was very good. I was especially impressed by how good the bread was. I can honestly say I can see this place becoming great at some point, but they have some work to put into improving it. The restaurant is extremely new so I can forgive these flaws for now, but I hope they address them. Rating: 4* Edit: 12/22/15 I have eaten here again earlier this month and I have to say they have improved all the major problems they had before. The service was kind and quick, and the ambiance had improved. The food was amazing again. The channa masala and roti were perfect. The food is always excellent! And the customer service is too notch. Our waiter was kind enough to tell us different options he would recommend and was especially considerate about my boyfriend's dairy free diet. He ended up forgetting his phone here and they stayed late to wait for us to come back and get it! The food was good but we had some little bugs that look like roaches join us for dinner. My husband and I definitely lost our appetite after seeing TWO crawling on the table and then finding THREE MORE crawling on the wall next to our booth. I told our waiter and he killed them with a napkin right in front of us. I expected him to seat us somewhere different but he didn't. After a couple minutes, he came back and I asked for a discount, which we got (10%), but he seemed very irritated and made us feel like it was our fault. India Bhavan is not just "great for Green Bay" Indian cuisine; it's great in general. We have a friend with strict dietary restrictions and the people at India Bhavan not only accommodated her, they made it a point to offer her a special vegan naan and guided her through the menu to help her make the right choice. I have dined at India Bhavan many times since moving to Green Bay and the food is always exquisite and delicious. The ambiance is comfortable--roomy and spacious--and the staff always seems happy to have us as guests. I have eaten Indian food in London, New York, and all points in between, and India Bhavan holds its own with any I've had. A great place! read more

I was visiting door county and ordered food to go from here. Ordered vegetable biryani and gobi manchurian. Both were horrible!

Didn't like the service and food. They did not serve Dosa which is printed on their menu. Ordered veg biryani which had no salt at all and was missing biryani masala. Won't recommend at all! read more

I love indian food. I hate that I walked in less than ready to tear up the buffet. I had eaten a late breakfast but my dining mates were starving. We decided to give this place a try. The restaurant looks to be in an old fast food joint or something random but they have done a nice job of making it look like their own space and adding some touches of decor that definitely feel Indian inspired. The offerings on the buffet were plenty. I would say they had around 8 or so hot vegetarian dishes and maybe 6 meat dishes. They also had some cold salad and loads of different chutneys/sauces to choose from. Their naan was delicious as was their fried donut looking things (I can never remember the name of these). The only dish I was sad not to see on the buffet was a saag. I assume maybe they rotate dishes, or Green Bay peeps aren't fans so they leave it off. Ha! For dessert they have fruit as well as a custard and a yummy sweet carrot dish. That carrot dish may have been one of my favorite things about this meal. So good. I can see why there were so many people in for lunch on a Saturday. read more

Went here for dinner tonight with family. We aren't the most adventurous eaters but I have to say that we were all blown away by how good everything was. One of our group is vegetarian and they had a lot of choices for her. We all really liked what we ordered - samosas for appetizers, some Chicken Saag and Cheese Naan for dinner. As someone who loves Indian food and has been to countless buffets, this one is right down the middle of the road. Visited about 12p on a Sunday, and was hoping the food would be fresh and plentiful. What I instead discovered was luke warm food, something I can only describe as 'Chinese-style' sweet coated chicken, and mediocre sides. If you've never had Indian before, this is a decent option for dipping your feet in the water, however this isn't really good Indian; this is decent food that is striving to be like it's authentic true Indian cuisine big brother. read more
