The dosa was crisp and beautifully paper thin. The butter chicken was served over white rice & was very tasty. We only wished it had more gravy on it. I wanted less heat because I was ordering for a group of mainly seniors. I wanted the spices to come through but I did not want the heat. The Chef obviously listened because everything was flavorful without the burn usually associated with Indian food. This happens only when the owners are themselves involved and when they care about the food as well as the particular customer's needs. First of all, the delivery was seamless! The food arrived ON TIME. It was delivered by Anita and Jayant themselves, and they helped me with the set-up, as well. The presentation was GORGEOUS! You looked at the food and you wanted to eat it!! The Mango-Arugula Salad was both crunchy and juicy, with a light, tangy dressing. The fresh greens were looking so inviting with the generous chunks of mango adding color and temptation! My guests LOVED it! The Batata Vadas were crisp on the outside and bursting with all the flavors of warm spices on the inside. The potato filling was perfectly cooked. The Dahi Vada was oh so refreshing! The Vadas were soft and spongy, while retaining their shape and the Yogurt base was creamy, with the just the right balance of sugar and spice. The chutneys were fresh and zesty and Anita did a lovely job with the display of it. The mixed Chicken Kebabs - Sheekh Kebab and Malai Kebab - were soft, succulent and just the perfect size for easy-eating. As I mentioned above, the spice and heat levels were exactly what I had asked for. For once everybody was able to enjoy the taste of the Sheekh kebabs without that inevitable burn you feel in most other places. Congratulations to the Chef at Mumbai Katta for hearing what I had asked for! The enchanting Dessert, that unbelievable Kesar Shrikhand, was to die for! The yogurt was silky, not too tight , not too loose, with just the right amount of sweetness and the flavor of real saffron came through beautifully. The pistachio on top made the dish stand out and glitter and ask for praise! Oh, and the Gulab Jamuns were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious, without being too sweet. Anita and Jayant helped me with the setup and I extremely pleased with the whole experience of ordering from Mumbai Katta.
