Went here for the lunch buffet with friends the other day and I would highly recommend it! The buffet is a great deal for the amount of food you can get and was a great way to be able to try new things. I've always enjoyed their food -- the tikka masala being my favorite! I also tried a chili chicken and their coconut soup for the first time and was not disappointed. The service was good -- could have had my water filled more but other than that I have absolutely no complaints and will definitely be eating here again and recommending to friends. read more

Second bad experience in a month!! The first time I was willing to give the server the benefit of the doubt but after this last experience I will not be going back and they have this rude and inconsiderate server to thank for it. It was the same hostess and server both times with equally horrible attitude and service both times. The food has historically been good but the service leaves leaves an unbridgeable gap. I was really craving some nan and curry so me and my cousin decided to stop by India Palace. The decor is authentic looking :) but also a little dated... We decided to get the Chicken Tiki Masala and the Lamb Coconut Korma Curry. For some reason there was. Misunderstanding with our order and the waiter/owner though we only wanted the Lamb Curry. After informing the owner of the mix up he came back and gave us the chicken tiki Masala curry for free. This was totally unexpected and unnecessary however, it made me realize how much passion he has for hist restaurant and how much he values his customers! Anyhow we dug in to our meal. The chicken tiki masala actually was good but not my favorite. The Lamb coconut Korma was great though. I would definitely have that again. read more

I was really excited to try out this place. I went for their lunch buffet, as suggested. I showed up and got a variety of options from the buffet. The Chicken Tikki Masala was the most mild tikki masala I've ever had. There was the typical mild base flavor, but there was absolutely no spiciness level. There were a couple of other curries that I tried and they were okay, but still bland. I also tried a couple of potato dishes and they were pretty good, but nothing special. If you want a Indian food fix in the middle of the day, this place will work. Sadly, I would say this is my least favorite Indian Food restaurant in the area. read more

I love this place. The lunch buffet is delicious and has a great selection. Dinner in the evening is also really good. Aloo Gobi, Malai Kofta and Bangan Bhartha are among my favorites. My wife and I used to go to a few different Indian places in Tempe, AZ. We moved here last month and tried this one, the only one we saw in our neighborhood. They have better service, better prices, and better-tasting food than any Indian place we've ever been to. Their naan is fresh, hot and delicious. The staff are very attentive and very friendly. They also seem to have a bigger menu than any other place we've been, with some items I've never heard of. We'll probably be trying the whole menu out as we start eating here every week. The chicken tikka masala tasted like Buffalo chicken without the heat. It wasn't gross. But it was severely disappointing. Chicken Coconut Korma was okay. We ate less than half of what we were served and didn't ask for a box. I can't recall the last time I ate Indian and didn't either finish it or excitedly take the rest home for leftovers. I did the lunch buffet with my wife today. The price was awesome, $9.95. The all-you-can-eat was nice. However, the food was just ok. We had chicken tikka masala, chicken coconut kurma, chicken tandoori, among other dishes. Two types of naan fried and The food in general lacked a depth of flavor I had become accustomed to at a different local Indian restaurant. The service was decent. The food is good but pricey. Definitely choose another place if you are on a schedule. Even though we had a reservation and we told them upfront that we needed to be out at a certain time, it took 30 minutes for them to get around to taking our order, and another 30 minutes before the first dish arrived -- 15 more before it was all there. Both times we had to go find someone to get things moving, because they seemed to forget about us. Then there was a wait for the check. I've been here twice now, once with a friend and once with a large group of 20-30 people. Both times the service was fast, the food was incredibly tasty and the atmosphere was cultural and relaxed. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!! This is the best Indian food I have ever had. I have been many times with my husband and we cant get enough of it! The Chicken Saag is my favorite! Also the Chicken Makhani, Chicken Briyani, Chicken Dopiaza and also Chicken Madras are awesome!! The owners are amazing. They know us and always make us feel like we are friends. They are always on top of taking out order, getting it to us in a timely manner. They always make sure our drinks are full. I have never had a bad experience at the India Palace. I'm sorry but I've had indian food all my life and i've tried restaurants all over. The price for the buffet is great, and that's what you get. Cheap food! Everything tastes the same, the food is reheated and I'm sure they use the same base for every dish. Food is not fresh. I don't know if you guys tried the Tandoori chicken, but that was terrible and I didn't eat more of it because I might get sick. There are other better options in Provo, like the Spice Grill (you eat better for 6.99 lunch special, not as much but fresh and authentic taste) or even Bombay House if you wanna pay more, but I would never go back to Indian Garden. As far as Indian food goes, India palace is good enough. However, there was nothing specific that set it apart from other places in the valley. Quality is average, food is average, service is average, and prices are average. With that said, the $9.99 lunch buffet special is hard to beat, and you would be hard-pressed to find a better value for what they provide. read more

i'm so glad that there is another indian restaurant in utah county, because this one is great. a previous reviewer mentioned that they didn't know india had buffets, and i've not been to india--but almost all indian restaurants in bigger cities have buffets. by far, this is one of the best indian buffets i've ever had. the food is hot, fresh and tasty. best of all, i don't get sick after eating here (like other indian buffets i have been to). i've had their chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka masala, lamb saag and chicken mushroom here--all scrumptious. their staff is awesome, and they adore my kid (but really, who doesn't? she's incredibly cute.). i hope they stick around for years and years to come, so whenever i return to provo i can eat here. read more

I think this is my favorite restaurant in Utah . I don't get to eat Indian food very often so whenever I come here it's like I'm trying it for the first time. First time here I ordered the lamb curry and it was awesome but then I switched to chicken curry and haven't gone back. I like the chicken better because it's more tender. I love the curry sauce that the chicken is marinated in. I wish i could make it at home but it's IMPOSSIBLE! Dont forget the garlic naan and then dip it in the sauce JESUS CHRIST it's delicious! I've also been to the Bombay house near by which is also good but I feel more comfortable here. The owner is really nice and he always comes to the table to greet you with a smile.
