The best Indian food! It's our go to and it never disappoints. The owners are very friendly and create a great sense of community. The *one* time a small item was missed when we had a *big* order (for a party of ten people), the owner came and personally dropped off the replacement dish and some bonus extras to save us the trip. This place has really turned around since my last review over a year ago. They are back to the same delicious quality of food as they used to produce. They are typically on time with their food but sometimes they just get a lot of orders at once (which is great) and there may be a 5min delay. For me, it's worth it though. This is by far the best Indian I've tried in the valley. Chicken tikka masala is wonderful and very unique in its flavor profile. Lighter and tangier than elsewhere. So fragrant and flavorful w/ nice ginger notes ( I feel like I'm describing a wine now lol ). The naan is always fresh, crispy, and charred deliciously. Enjoyed India's Flavor for the first time a couple months ago so we gave it another go. This time ordered take out. Online menu is easy to navigate and good descriptions of the dishes. All in all, satisfied with our meal, but I do think they could put more Tofu in the Tofu Curry. I get disappointed when a dish is mostly sauce and not much substance. Anyway, we've got a tub of red curry sauce leftover so we'll extend it with additions of Tofu and vegetables for another meal. Take out order was completed on time. read more

This was the strangest "Indian" resturaunt. The Chicken Tikka Masala was not an Indian recipe. It tasted like Chef Boyardi Sauce out of a can. The samosa looked and tasted like a canned pastry puff from Pillsbury Doughboy. We were excited to eat here, but it didn't work out. Hmm.... If you're looking for something fast and quick, this will satisfy the Indian craving in a pinch. However, I can't say it's the best Indian food I've had. Lol! It's passable but I definitely look for thicker bases and deeper flavors when I crave Indian food. Everything here felt a little lacking in flavor. My family has been going here for over 25 years and we always get good food and great service. The owner is awesome and always takes care of us. Tons of vegetarian and vegan options for the plant lovers out there. I still have to check out their lunch buffet which runs from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm daily I believe. I'm not sure what happened to the previous owner of India's Flavor, the food was great before. Ownership changes .... Food quality changes . I feel like the food is now just good/ok as apposed to what is used to be. The flavors are there but a little runny .... The chicken curry and chicken masala are not has thick in consistency. The chicken tikka was literally shredded chicken with some small pieces loads and loads of onions . When I dipped the Naan bread in the curry it should pick up a thick layer of sauce , it rather picked up a really runny water texture. The bag was handed to me and the lady said every thing is inside .... Ok so I leave only to get home to see that an item I paid for is missing ....called them they fixed the issue but the fact that I had to wait extra 20 minutes with half my order getting cold and having to drive back to pick up the missing items really annoyed me ! So future patron check to make sure everything is in the bag before you walk out of the restaurant. I'm going to be honest and say if you like to eat here bon appétit. Tucked away in the La Canada, Glendale hills, is a discrete little American Style Indian restaurant that's hidden in the corner of a strip mall. If you blink you'll miss it. Lupe was fantastic in helping me navigate the menu for our ordered day before buffet work lunch. She was super friendly and helpful. We got the perfect mix of portion, selection, with enough to please everyone, which is no easy task. For my taste the garlic naan and Somosas are delightful. I prefer more spice in my Indian food. But I'm more than satisfied with the selections, portions, and price. Cutting the samosa and naan in half was a great choice. There was plenty of everything to go around. India's Flavor is a nice option for Indian food if you live or work in the area. I think the food here is good and consistent. The spice levels to choose from is 1 to 3; with 3 being the most spicy. For my taste I always tell them "very spicy" and usually it's still mild at best - not a complaint just an observation. Overall my family and I truly enjoy the food here. India's Flavor is my family's favorite restaurant (of any type) in the area. We've been coming here for years, since my kids were in elementary school (they are now adults and have flown the nest, which tells you how long we've been eating at India's Flavor.) The quality of the cooking is consistently really good, well-executed Indian cuisine. Their naan (flatbread) is some of the best I've ever had, their malai kofta (like vegetarian meatballs in sauce)are incredibly rich and satisfying, and the biryani (mixed rice dish) is out of this world. Plus they often have ras malai (my favorite dessert in the world), which is a huge plus. And the mango lassi? Delicous. The restautant itself is cozy; if you have a large group, I would call ahead to reserve a table. We've eaten in the restaurant many times, but we've also gotten delivery and done take-out. We went there tonight with the family friends and ordered saag paneer Malai kofta and paneer jalfrezi with garlic naan, onion kulacha, peas pulao, mango lassi and cheese naan. Everything tasted so delicious! We loved it. Even the kids ate it. I'd highly recommend the food. They had a steady stream of take out customers. The owner Romeo was very kind and took excellent care of us even bringing by sweet potato chips for the kids. While on my way to the washroom I noticed that the person making the naan was using clear hand covering (and not using bare hands) and that made me very pleased. I will bestow on you two words of the best advice (in my opinion) I've ever given in my life- CHEESE NAAN. I'll say it again....CHEESE NAAN. My life has been forever changed since I stepped foot in this restaurant and ordered that plate of heaven. Seriously guys, it's so good I recommend you follow my rules: If you only have $5 in your pocket, CHEESE NAAN. If you only have time for a quick snack, CHEESE NAAN. If you are trying to decide between a much needed tube of toothpaste or feeding your starving belly, CHEESE NAAN. Generous helpings of mozzarella cheese stuffed in dough and cooked over a flame in a stone pot, the cheese melts and oozes out when you break it apart. It stretches from your mouth when you take a bite. The butter so rich and tasty. The bread so crispy. We had to make it two orders because we couldn't stop stuffing it in our mouths. As much as I would like to make this an ode to cheese naan, there are other food items on the menu that I need to mention, too. I had the lunch buffet, which I told myself I wouldn't do. I tend to get a little excited over Indian buffets and I wasn't in the mood to drive home stuffed. But for about $13/person, I couldn't resist. The buffet was smaller than other Indian buffets that I've been to but still had the staples- tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala, curry chicken, and some veggie masala options. The flavors were more subtle than other restaurants I've been to but still delicious. I was missing that "pow" of flavor I usually expect from Indian spices. The garlic naan lacked garlic flavor. We should have probably ordered a third plate of cheese naan instead of the garlic one. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and there should be ample parking. The restaurant itself is very small, probably less than 10 tables total. It's not ideal for large groups. It can get crowded during peak hours. read more

I went here today with my daughter for lunch and it was delicious. I haven't had Indian cuisine for several years and this was a wonderful treat to find!!! They have a nice lunch buffet that had all of my favorites. The restaurant is nice and clean with plenty of parking. The service was fantastic!! We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Romeo.. It truly was a pleasure to meet him. He was so nice and so very friendly. We had the greatest conversation with him. He is very kind, and very generous with his time and thoughtful human being. Modest restaurant of about 25 seats in a mini-mall with very limited parking. I had the lunch buffet for $21 (IIRC). I tried Vegetable Korma (Potatoes, carrots, peas), Chicken Marsala, Chicken Curry, Potatoes Vindaloo, a dal and Saag, which had a bit of bitterness, so I suspect it wasn't entirely made of spinach. I am in no way well versed in Indian food, but I thought that everything was well prepared, all of the sauces seemed well balanced and flavorful. For the most part I enjoyed it. Of the two chicken dishes, I preferred the marsala, of the two veggie dishes the vindaloo. The nan (garlic nan) was quite tasty and I took the left over away and had it for a snack later. My only (small) criticisms are that the cutlery is all plastic and there are no knives. Some of the chicken pieces were larger than bit size, the lack of a knife was felt. But, I think the food is generally good and will probably return, perhaps to try a made to order dish, rather than the buffet.I read more

This cozy place has an AYCE lunch buffet (see pic), including a full basket of Naan per person (plain or garlic). This is the best Indian food I have ever tasted. Patty is welcoming and engaging. The customer service was 5 stars. Hostess was able to explain the food to us, their specialties, and accommodated my special requests. She was supper effective in answering calls for to-go orders, bringing out orders to customers who were waiting outside, and giving me insight to their dishes. Ordered matar paneer, chicken biryani, curry lamb, tofu vindaloo, garlic nnaan, mango lassi. Curry lamb was my favorite. I liked that the lamb had a strong gamey taste and the meat was soft without feeling like I'm chewing on rubber. Some Indian restaurants have meat that's really tough and sinewy -- not this place. Second woudl be the tofu vindaloo. Loved the tomato flavor and the spices was just right. Perfect for my naan to scoop up the sauce. I quite enjoy the chicken biryani as well, but felt the chicken pieces were quite big for biryani. Not necessarily a complaint, just an observation. My only complaint is the garlic naan being SUPER garlicky. If you like Garlic or eating at The Stinking Rose, you'll love the naan here. This place is just OK. They do a good job and get an order done fast the prices are a little bit high and I'm not sure how much flexibility they have their menu. This comes in to play with certain diet like Vegan or people who need to make substitutions. If you do not have special requests, I think that this is a great place. I'm all about supporting places during the Covid and this has been a staple for some of my friends. The food is prepared quick and hot but I have to question how much it is prepared advance . For instance I ordered aloo gobi And I wanted less potatoes. I prefer more cauliflower or all cauliflower is this dish at this restaurant seems to be the majority potatoes. He told me that they cannot separate the two which I don't understand. Perhaps not understand because I don't cook this meal however if this meal is made fresh why can't they use less potatoes?
