Very good costumer service and very delicious food We go to this palace for long time to eat Indian savory food and we love it

I came here to purchase some hair color for my mother who uses the henna. I went to another store that I normally purchase from and they did not have it so I remembered this one and I went over there to see if they had it and to my surprise they did it. And also advertise this to be Indian fast food which I did not know it is a very organized and clean store. There is a market side that has freshProduce and food that you can purchase. There is also a restaurant area. And a third section of the store which is more for household goods and they have a variety of cultural event items. I really like that they had a very good refrigeration for all of their dessert type of products. And their cultural event items were beautiful just things that I have never seen before with many colors. There was also a TV on playing shows that were in the Indian language. The cashier was very polite he spoke very clearly to me and asked me was there anything else He could help me with.

    Makki roti with saag

I stopped by here on my way home from sequoia and kings canyon natl park. I was originally planning to go to Brahma bull , but I saw this place in a strip mall on the way and decided to check it out and am glad I did. Like others have said, they have a food counter inside the grocery store. I had the makki roti (maize flour indian bread ) with saag (mustard greens), pav bhaji (bread with spicy mixed and mashed vegetables ) and some sweets. The sweets were ok, but the other 2 dishes tasted great and were a good deal for the price. Will surely stop by if I visit again. All the dishes on their menu are vegetarian and they have chaat items, north indian, south indian and appetizers , milk shakes etc.

Getting essential ingredients, like curry leaves, garam masala, and paneer is a head scratcher for an international student in america- especially in Fresno, or even for someone who is looking to cook a completely authentic indian recipe- where the essential ingredients are not simply available at the local trader joes or whole foods. The great news is, India sweet and spices not only carries a huge variety of ingredients to make that delicious pot of briyani, but it also carries a wide range of Indian toiletries, dried foods, frozen goods, teas, pots and pans (indian style), metal plates, bowls and glassware (like in india) and even sweet desserts such as freshly made indian cakes and ice cream. There is even a quick vegetarian restaurant located within this grocery, with seats and everything- and their food is good! Essentially the store is divided into 6 separate sections: 1. The frozen and perishable goods - where naan breads, parathas, paneer (goat cheese) and essential indian vegetables such as okras, methi (fenugreek leaves), brinjal, curry leaves and so much more is easily available year round. 2. The dessert bar- filled with 10-30 varieties of colorful authentic indian dessert (normally found in india), can be purchased by the piece or by the dozen. mix and matching is a great way to taste the different varieties of traditional indian desserts. Don't also forget about the hand made conical shaped indian ice cream known as kulfi, only available as this store. ( available in 5-6 different flavors) 3. The spice, tea, and dried rack - where you could get all the essential spaces like turmeric, cumin, coriander, dried mango powder, aniseed, black cardamom, cloves, garam masala, green cardamom, poppy seed (khus khus), saffron, tamarind and so much more. They also sell bitter gourd tea, and other lose leaf tea such as earl grey. 4. Fresh gourmet Indian street food/snacks - vegetarian options of all indian street food such as pani puri, pav bhaji, idli, dosa, vellayappam, yellow and black dhal, bhaji, samosas, paratha, poori and so much more. They are all affordable, prices ranges from $4- $9. There is even a proper seating area. 5. The pots, pans and utensils - every stainless pot, pan, glass, bowl, tiffin, utensil. serving bowl, cooker, masala dhaba, idli cooker, that one can imagine is available here. Someone who wants to cook and serve an indian meal in an authentic indian platter would find this place a heaven, and for an indian mum or student, this place would be the place to come to get your kitchen essentials as you arrive. 6. Indian costume jewelries and Praying goods. There are gorgeous indian costume jewelries and accessories perfect for a complete Indian dress up, everything from bangles to earnings and even slippers to compliment the whole look. Additionally this place sells all the indian god statues and prayer essentials, even holi powder- the colorful powder. They of course have henna and perfumes. Overall the store in my opinion is well stocked, and carries essentially everything to help me make an authentic indian cooking at home. The owners are also fairly friendly to help first timers. The size of this store is pretty impressive, since its quite big, there are plenty of parking located right in frontt of the store, and many more in its private lot. Definitely my to go for Indian essential grocery goods.

Well this place is an another combo place. With combo , I mean a place where they sell groceries and as they are near to expire , use them in making curries and sell them in your restaurant Well place has pretty good variety and selection of Indian groceries and essentials , I would say probably largest in the area but I was surprised to see such less rush and I did find the reason very soon. That's due to prices which are little on higher side, may be cost of having such a huge inventory :) For food, I would tend them to give full points as they do know how to make and garnish the food

    My delicious food

There is contractors going through there's customers going through this inventory going through just be patient. Overall I enjoy renovations they are awesome. If it helps out the store no problem. This is ample parking out front for you. I was picking up some dried fruit as a snack I do enjoy the dried fruits the last longer and good on protein. With the good quality and sale prices I shop here at least once a week. Their inventory online could use some updating but the customer service that fixes issues does help. Their produce is a bit pricey, but there are many other items I stock up on and it's more peaceful then battling the crowds at the bigger stores.

In the refrigerated/area they are stocked with Mezza (appetizer) items like Armenian String Cheese. A great place to stop and pick up stuff for when family or friends are stopping by. Back to the yalanchi though. For those who are not familiar, they are stuffed, chilled grape leaves with a seasoned rice mixture inside, typically with lemon juice, onions, oil, seasoning, and tomato sauce or paste. I can't speak to their exact recipe, but it tastes the closest to our homemade ones we make as a family. I have tried dozens of various businesses, restaurants, etc...simply put- this tastes like grandma used to make, and now what we make. But instead of hours of prep and labor...unless you do it as a family as a special tradition of course...stop by this place and just buy some! Rice is not over or undercooked, leaves are consistently rolled appropriately, and texture is great. Good size too! Flavor- delicious! When purchased, they are chilled and piled in a Styrofoam container. Customer service is great as well! Lots and lots of delicious ingredients and pre-made products here in this special little market. I highly recommend it!

Poor Customer Service…read more I have visited this Armenian grocery store only a few times over the past several years, and unfortunately, my most recent visit left me with a very negative impression. What especially upset me was when the cashier took a bag of chips directly from my child's hands and put it back while she was looking at it. I am teaching my child to always check the expiration date before purchasing food, so there was no reason to treat her this way. Customer service should be respectful and welcoming, especially toward children. After this experience, I do not feel comfortable returning to this store. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the way customers are treated

I still remember when this place was 24 hours. I recently needed a cake a day before my niece's 1st birthday party. I stopped by Frosted Cakery and they did not have anything. For some reason, I remembered that Food Maxx had a big selection of cake. I was going to get a premade cake, but saw that they had specialty cakes. I asked how far in advance would I need to order the cake. They said 24 hours, but gave me a 12 pm time instead which was perfect since my niece's birthday was at 5pm. I ordered the 505 Barnyard Animals 1/2 pan sheetcake with pink frosting. Pick up was farely easy. The Happy 1st birthday lettering was cute! Ada- I temporarily have a sprained ankle that is taking longer to heal than I would like and am currently in a cam walking boot so when I go to public places that require a lot of walking, I look for an electric scooter do I do not overwork my legs. They always have one that is charged and ready to go with a huge cart. I was able to use it when I had to pick up the huge cake by myself! The workers are constantly busy, but when they are free and I ask for help, they are more than willing. Definitely reccomended for cute cakes! It was only $40 bucks for a half sheet with custom photo. Cakes don't always have to be tiered or cost an arm and a leg. The marble sheet cake was good and the frosting was not too sweet. Make sheet cakes great again!
