Unlike the lovely service we had going there the first time, the service at the restaurant today was severely lacking. Our server just put our drinks in the middle of the table and we had to figure out whose drink was whose. When the food came out, my friend asked if they had a small crab fork. She looked at him confused and then went and got him, I kid you not, the largest dinner fork I've ever seen. Another server came to check on us and when my friend asked again about a small crab fork, the server explained "oh no we only have those large forks sorry." And then left. The food itself was great but the corn in my bag was BARELY cooked, which was really disappointing. The restaurant also applies tip for you so...do with that what you will.

Spacious on that side to hold big groups. We ordered the house sauce with 1/2lb shrimp, mussels, and snow crab cluster. We added also, two corns, potatoes, and a bread. If you are a weenie with spice like me- stay with the mild side. Was just enough kick for me. All cost about $55 (w/o tip); which is good pricing. The shrimps were decent sizing. Will come again to try their crawfish.

Perfect ambiance, not overstimulating, and space is nice and airy. It's my own ritual; I always order beignets, and they are consistently good, light and fluffy. This time I ordered the open face toast with bacon (I'm totally butchering what it's actually called), but it was giving eggs benny, and it was so so delicious. Their hollandaise sauce tasted house made so I asked my server (Katie, amazing, 5 stars. Super personable and friendly) and sure enough I learned B Street is a scratch kitchen (absolutely everything is made in-house). IMPRESSIVE. The whole dish was very hearty, exactly what you'd need after a night out and it didn't sit heavy. Thank you B Street, I'll be back soon ;)

They are famous for their Poké bowl, but we only did sushi this time (my willpower deserves recognition).. The edamame was excellent and their miso soup is still one of my favorites anywhere. It just tastes different... richer and more intentional than the usual versions. I'm a huge saba fan and theirs was exactly why I keep coming back... clean, fresh and done right. My kid had the tataki and it was the same story there, super fresh and gone in about thirty seconds. We also had the Gilroy (yum) Japanese Cowboy, Red Dragon, Hibachi Sunset and Lotus Cobra. The Lotus Cobra is one of those rolls you order once and then it just becomes part of your future. The ambiance is probably my favorite in Chico. It's one of those places where you can have a great meal and some top tier people watching at the same time. Service is always solid, friendly without being fake, and everything from the dining area to the bathrooms is consistently clean. I'll just say it... I wish we had a place like this back on the Mendocino Coast. Until then, this is always going to be my Chico sushi stop. If you like fresh fish, good energy and a place that just feels dialed in, Rawbar is hard to beat.

It's classy...clean..and staff are very professional. Full bar and inside and outdoor seating. RAGAN AND Sjarif are the best ( A team!). Love love love this place! Great asset to downtown Chico!

Tonight though, the food was next level. To set the scene, the line was out the door when I arrived, but they were flying through customers. I had thankfully placed an online order & saw it ready & waiting for me. My patience was also at a miraculous high. Blessings for all. My husband got the chicken combo plate, and he has a full meals worth of food left over for tomorrow, which is thankfully typical here. In this economy?? Yes please. The katsu was so juicy and crunchy, the bbq chicken was equally tender with a good char in places. I got a poke bowl, and I swear to god in heaven the girl who made this bowl was placed on this earth to bless my dinner tonight. I need also to go back and get her skin care routine. We ordered extra sauce and they literally 3x what we paid for. ETA for the online order was 15 mins, I walked in after 14 & my food was ready. They easily has 10 tickets they were actively working through, and as stated a line out the door. The food was impeccable. Biggest shout outs to the kitchen, those guys can cook some fantastic chicken & rice. Another round of applause for the angel making poke bowls tonight. 12/10 would & do recommend.

We both ordered the twin tails, which have gone up in price and down in quality, since our last visit. The lobster was undercooked, chewy with an odd purple color and unappetizing texture. I asked for mine to be cooked more, my husband did not, as he does not send food back. When it was brought back, it was still not cooked all the way and still had a translucent look on one side. It remained chewy and unappetizing, rather than the delicious and savory lobster we have enjoyed in the past. The mashed potatoes, which used to be to die for, were just ok and the portion size has shrunk. The arugula dish on the plate was merely ok as well. It used to be so tasty that I tried to recreate it at home, this was just a bit of salty and bitter greens. The bread was not served until after the meal arrived and they were out of the yummy brown bread. This meal seemed hastily thrown together, rather than thoughtfully prepared, as it as been in the past. It was very disappointing. We did enjoy the music on the patio, which added ambience to the outdoor dining experience. The "anniversary menu" they gave us was a nice touch.
