This is my favorite place to eat downtown. Perfect if you're hungry and wanting to sink your teeth into some curry. I love the owners, I feel like they always remember me when I stop by. Haven't been disappointed, and I've been coming here frequently since 2018.

Devine. Vegan-Friendly. Flavorful. Surprisingly Simple. Wow. What a place. I cannot believe it's taken me so long to try Gogi's Cafe. As a vegan, I have dined in Chico at many a places. Even Indian places. Never have my culinary socks been blown off like they were here. The place is set up cafeteria style. Some people seem to look down on that in previously seen Yelp reviews, but I think it made this place non-pretentious. Gogi's isn't trying to be upscale. It's not trying to be fine dining. The premise here is good food, served fast, cafeteria style, located right at the edge of Chico State University. There were plenty of vegan options here to enjoy, something I was glad to see. I dined on a lunch plate with a vegan tofu curry, a vegan chicken dish, rice and a side of Vegan Garlic Naan. The vegan tofu curry, as others have described on Yelp, had the taste of macaroni and cheese to some extent. Don't don't be fooled...I'm not knock it. It was INCREDIBLE. By far the best vegan Indian dish I've ever had. The vegan chicken dish was great, too, although not quite as memorable as the tofu curry. The Vegan Naan bread was insane. It was SO GOOD. I literally could dip this in anything and be satisfied. It was both crispy and soft (right?), flavorful and simple. It was, in a word, unforgettable. In closing, yes, if you're reading this review, you need to eat here. This is my new favorite Vegan Indian restaurant in NorCal!

First visit to Gogi's, Covid has made dining a very different experience, and car dining really stinks! However, Gogi's provided a wonderful meal with fabulous flavor, and friendly personal service! I enjoyed the two dish vegetarian plate with a aloo gobhi, chana masala, with a side plain naan, and a side of samosas that also included a small serving of chana masala and sweet chutney, and of course, a mango lassi. I am a business traveler and have an opportunity to sample all kinds of food from all around the country, Gogi's is definitely top shelf! I will come back here next time I am in Chico.

14.95 all of this food is vegan and is delicious. Well worth the money.

Food is delicious and as advertised. Great portion sizes. Their lamb is always cooked really well and the spice isn't overpowering.

Gross flavors. Tastes exactly the way it looks. Dirty and muddy. The curry isn't recognizable. Rice was dry. Nann bread was greasy.

But step inside and you'll find an impressive variety of wraps, smoothies, juices, tacos, superfoods, warm dishes, pastries, espresso drinks and plenty of vegan options. Last winter, their chicken tortilla soup was outstanding--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. On my most recent visit (02/21/2026), I ordered a grilled chicken wrap loaded with alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, olives, hummus, corn, and cayenne pepper. It was genuinely delicious--a word I don't use lightly for food in Chico. The ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable. I also tried the "Monkey Power" smoothie with hemp seeds, white chocolate powder, peanut butter, and banana--wow, it was amazing. I truly appreciate the wide selection of vegetables, fruits, superfoods, and nourishing options they offer. Fresh Twisted Cafe has absolutely become one of my favorite spots in Chico.

We had kids with us, so we got there an hour before it became 21+. Everyone was friendly, the food came pretty quick relative to how hopping it was. We ordered: Pho-rench dip (w/fries)--I think this was a DDD sandwich, so it's not some hidden gem, but it was super tasty. You cannot go wrong. The slight lime-iness of the dipping broth really kicked it into turbo. Also, we all likes the steak fries--a note on that later. Chicken Cheese Steak (w/fries)--my wife loved it. I tried a bite, and it was great--a little mushroom-forward, but we like that. Mac and Cheese--do not be fooled by the slightly smaller bowl, it is very filling. My son can eat his birth weight in pasta, and he had to tap out! I tried a bite--it was creamy (not grainy at all), and was just the right amount of salty and cheese-funky. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (w/fries)--perhaps the least successful for my family, but only because my daughter prefers a smoky/spicy tomato soup, and this was more on the sweet side. The griled cheese was of the "crispy cheese on the outside" ilk, which my daughter thought was really good. So, totally would go again. IMPORTANT NOTE (to people traveling through Chico, or who don't want to take leftovers)--the sandwiches are pretty big, and the add-on fry order is also sizeable. If we were going again tomorrow, we would either order 1 fry instead of 3. Or split a sandwich. Very very good pub.

So I went over in that direction and seen an empty counter. I didn't want to just set it there, so I asked an older gentleman and he nodded and pointed. No words necessary I guess.
