    Good BBQ, although seemingly over-priced - believe this location is aimed at tourists (which we were). Was a little overwhelmed to walk on the door and be pushed into a cafeteria line to make very quick decisions. The beef ribs were very good, but at $30/lb, one rib was $20. I also got a baked potato, which had a wonderfully seasoned skin, it was not marked that the toppings were included as they came later in line and everything cost extra. Brisket was appx $35/lb. Everyone spent much more than they had anticipated, however, it was very filling. They do offer free baked beans in the condiment sections. Seating was cafeteria style, at picnic tables with plenty of napkins! and giant jar of jalapeños

    Was here for a work event so they served us a small buffet in the back of the restaurant. First I must comment on the A++++ frozen beer goblets that were massive. I had two drink tickets and couldn't finish both. Our buffet had chicken and sausage which were both fine enough. Potato salad and coleslaw were both very good (though I wish I had one of the salt crusted potatoes). I appreciated the free white bread, beans and pickles/onions/jalapenos. It was our last night in Texas so I hit the regular line too to grab a slice of brisket. I got a decent amount of fat which was heavenly, but the center of the piece was a bit dry and hard to eat. We also had pecan cobbler (which was more like pecan pie) but still excellent. A note to tourists that I wouldn't have thought of if I hadn't been in a large group that was a little disappointed is that there are multiple types of bbq in Texas and this pit style is one of them and a bit different than what people may be used to. It's still good, just different.

    Best beef ribs! Warning it is very easy to over order on the lbs of meat. I ended up with a pound and a half of beef and brisket. Finished it all but it wasn't cheap. What's really great is paring their wonderfully smoked delicacies with a schooner of freshly poured draft of lone star or shiners!

    When my husband and I were in line at Goldee's BBQ, an older couple recommended that we try this place because there is no wait and they think bbq is better. They were locals so we gave it a try. There is definitely no line so service was quick. We went on a weekday for lunch, so I don't know what the volume would be like during the weekend. The place is huge with plenty of seat options, all picnic table style. Each table has its own pickle jar, that was my fav. The bread wasn't made in house, it was straight out of a bag lol. Sauces are self served. The bbq itself is average, I wouldn't say it's comparable or better than Goldee's. It's a bit better than Springcreek BBQ. Bottom line: It's a quick fix for BBQ craving in a pinch, but wouldn't go out of my way for it.

    I am not a native of Fort Worth, but I have patronized Cooper's BBQ for nearly 20 years whenever I travel to the Dallas-Fort Worth area for business and seminars. On ​April ​27th, I specifically went out of my way to take a friend there who had never visited before. We drove over ​two hours out of the way because I had always remembered Cooper's as a great place to eat. Unfortunately, this visit was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. When we entered the restaurant, a female employee immediately became rude and confrontational, stating that we had entered through the "wrong door." However, the door clearly had an "Entrance" sign displayed. I even took a picture of it. I realized afterward that the setup may have changed since I had not visited in about eight years, but there was absolutely no reason to speak to customers the way she did. She ordered us to go back outside and come in another way. Trying to avoid conflict and still enjoy our meal, we complied and entered through the line by the grills. Unfortunately, the gentleman working the grill matched her attitude and treated us just as poorly. He accused us of leaning over the grill and even made sarcastic remarks about us not knowing how to come through the door correctly. At that point, we chose to leave rather than continue being disrespected. As a business owner myself, I understand customer service and professionalism. Employees represent your business, and the behavior displayed by these two individuals was unacceptable. Customers should never be humiliated, talked down to, or treated with hostility over an honest mistake--especially when signage itself is misleading. After almost 20 years of supporting Cooper's whenever I traveled to Fort Worth, I can honestly say I will never patronize this establishment again. It is disappointing to see a once-enjoyable restaurant lose sight of basic respect and hospitality. Shame on the management for allowing employees to treat customers this way.

    We came in after visiting the Fort Worth stockyards . The ambiance was old western yet modern.The menu is varied so we got a sample of many. The service was good as they kept the line moving, The brisket was moist , the pork as well. Other standouts included the corn,potato salad, and pinto beans. The bbq sauce was very good too. A good bbq place close to Ft Worth.

    We visited Coopers for food before going to Billy Bob's on Friday night. You walk into the restaurant and are greeted with a grill full of meat and pick out what you want. You then move into the next room where people weigh and prepare your food, as well as choose any additions that you want (like cheese, salads, sides and toppings for the baked potatoes). My partner LOVES BBQ so went a little overboard with the order. We had a pork chop, sirloin steak, ribs, sausage and the chopped beef baked potato. We also grabbed a beer each and the total cost came to $140. Once you have paid you go and find a seat at the giant communal tables. Everything that we ordered was delicious. My other half is still talking about the pork chop (best pork chop has ever had) and it is likely we will revisit before we leave Fort Worth. I really enjoyed the baked potato and liked that they had taken the time to season the skin of the potato itself, really tasty. Would definitely recommend this spot and will visit again.

    We had some extended family in town who we took to Cooper's. And, as expected, Coopers did NOT disappoint. We had a fairly large10-person group, and everyone was satisfied. My order of beef ribs, brisket, and half a link each of regular and jalapeno cheddar sausage was fantastic. For sides I had the potato salad and mac. Potato salad was so good--very mustard-forward, and I only wish I'd ordered more to go. I wanted to give the mac another chance, so I ordered it again and it still wasn't good. The only misstep of the meal, it tasted like it was made from powdered cheese. I missed out on tasting the green beans, but my sister said they were tasty. Overall, still a five-star BBQ experience, and I'll keep returning.

    Was told this was place to go for BBQ in Ft. Worth. Brisket was great, sausage link not so much and the ribs were okay. Sides were decently prepared. Absurdly overpriced for what you get.

    Way too salty. Meat was dry we order pork and beef ribs,steak, pork chops all was overcooked and drenched in salt. We arrived at 11 am.

After one failed mission to Sabar BBQ, where I showed up too late and found an empty pit (and an emptier stomach), I came back like a man on a barbecue pilgrimage. The sun was blazing, the line was growing, and I wasn't about to be left holding nothing but a napkin this time. Pitmaster Zain Shafi runs this blue trailer like a flavor command center. The smell hit me halfway through the line and had me grinning like a kid at the state fair. I made my move when it was my turn, and if you know me, you know lamb is my kryptonite. I ordered the Sichuan Lamb Ribs, then couldn't stop myself from adding brisket and Tandoori Turkey. The sides? Kachumber Salad and Daal Chawaal, because even Uncle Sean needs balance in life. Zain loaded everything up, tossed it all on top of some naan for good measure, and sent me to my table like a champion headed to the winner's circle. The first bite of lamb ribs nearly had me proposing to the pit. Spicy, tender, smoky perfection with a bark that made my heart sing. The brisket was rich and juicy, the turkey came with that tandoori kick that slapped me awake in the best way possible. The sauces just tied the whole thing together like a big barbecue hug. The yogurt mint cilantro sauce was made to cool and lift the brisket and turkey to a whole new level. The red sauce packed a punch and paired with the lamb like it was born for the job. I boxed up some leftovers for my wife, the Side Dish Queen herself, because a man who doesn't bring home naan from Sabar BBQ is a man sleeping on the couch. She confirmed what I already knew: this was next-level barbecue, the kind that earns legends and long lines. Sabar BBQ is only open on weekends, and only fools show up late. I won't make that mistake again. This was stop number 15 on my Texas Monthly Top 50 journey, leaving me with 35 more glorious BBQ pilgrimages ahead before the passport is full and my belt officially waves the white flag. If loving these lamb ribs is wrong, I don't wanna be rib-right.

Brisket was on the dry side, maybe overcooked, and could have used some better trimming before cooking I think. Did not try sausages or chicken, but both looked appetizing. They are still dialing in their pits is my guess, and expect cook quality to improve with a time. Quality of meat may also be worth considering. Overal, Brown's is definitely worth a visit, and as they find their groove they could be a contender. Right now would put them at a fair 3.5 stars, but the energy, great attitude (smiles means repeat business), and great beginnings is worthy of 4 stars even now, and a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

I came back on early Saturday evening after a nice cooling rain. It was pleasantly not crowded. I got a couple of empanadas from one truck and a couple of smash burgers from another. Both items were delicious. When I go back, I want to try something from the hibachi grill. I got an Oakcliff smashburger and my son enjoyed a Dallas. We loved our burgers. You could tell they were made fresh with chunks of avocado and bacon for me! The empanadas were good if a bit small. The dough pocket could have been premade, so I'll have to try something else from that food truck.
