Pretty cool hidden spot. The only hookah lounge we could find near Monterey/Carmel. Not only that, but they're the only one I've been to in the west coast that also has a full bar. They have a back patio with fire pits and heat lamps, some of which is community seating style (in other words, you and a friend may be sharing a fire pit with another group). Our server was friendly and attentive, and they played good music, but speaker could've been louder. They offer different add-ons for your hookah at an extra cost: ice, wine base, and liquor base. Surprisingly, fruit heads were not an option. They did have the option for a two hose hookah. Food was basic such as sliders, fries, etc. One food item was required per hookah purchase for some reason, so we got a piece of "lemon cake." While it was moist, it wasn't anything special -- it just looked and tasted like a cut piece of grocery store lemon Bundt cake. Anyways, we were feeling the vibe and could certainly see ourselves returning if ever in the area again.

    Chicken Biryani - Spicy

The food is INSANE!! We just got the Butter Chicken Burrito and Chicken Biryani (spicy) and we were shocked how flavorful it is! It's so good that I'm writing about it as we're eating. The butter chicken burrito is buttery, not overly tomato-y (hence tangy) like most butter chickens I've tried, it's creamy and filled with flavor! It's wrapped in, I believe a parontha, which is a fried, soft naan-like bread. One order is enough for two people. The chicken biryani is filled with so many spices! It's not spicy like I expected. Definitely bearable for someone who doesn't do spicy but I feel like it adds more flavor. My family and I are just visiting the area and we're already talking about getting these to go before we head home tomorrow. These two are a MUST HAVE! The hookah I got was Blue Mist with Mint. Really good! However, I do feel like it was running out pretty fast. They only have a regular head so it doesn't last long. They have fun R&B music playing and pretty lively, but not crowded. Will definitely be visiting this place in the future!! Food 11/10 Hookah 7/10 Ambiance 8/10 Service 9/10

Great service! Very relaxed place to be! We went during covid but I felt very safe. The wings are soooo good! They even had hot chocolate!!!! I always try to come here when I'm in town because it's just a nice place to visit!

I came here tonight and thought this place was pretty chill. Our waiter/host was really sweet and helped us with everything. The area is clean and they do follow regulations as far as safety. It is an area to relax and lounge so people are going to sit closer than 6 feet. Don't come here if you're so worried about your health, just stay at home. The hookah was good and I loved the fire pit because it was pretty chilly so that helped keep me warm. Honestly I'd come here again! My husband and I left when it started to get a bit busier just because we don't want to be in an area with to many people. So if you're interested in coming I'd recommend to come around 8-9 pm if you want to avoid bigger crowds.

Well, was walking around after 10pm looking for places to find something to eat. Anything, even just a snack as I arrived at the hotel late. My options were scarce since many places were either closed or just closing. Found this unlikely place but willing to check it out. There were a lot of people there having a great time. Found myself a seat underneath a disco ball. Lol Found some basic tapas to order (chips, jalapeño poppers, taquitos, quesadilla) I was very grateful they were open, accommodating and my server D-rock was kindhearted. Thank you. This must be a local place to hangout as more people were showing up and hanging out with their friends.

Fire pit, just as it was being lit.

During our trip to Monterey we spent the better part of an evening here. It's an outdoor hookah lounge with several nice seating areas surrounding custom fire pits. A very relaxing and enjoyable way to hookah. They also serve a small menu of food, and have a bar. That was a nice touch. Food and cocktails really did add to the evening. The staff was very kind, welcoming, and fun to be around. We got to meet some people from other areas as well as a few locals. The social aspect over a fire with friend, both new and old, is really what it's all about. They nailed that here. I only got one picture, but I was enjoying the moment I guess. This picture doesn't do this place justice I must say. It's so much more beautiful than this picture let's on. If you like hookah, being social, enjoying a cocktail, and having some food fireside, this is that place in Monterey. I can say with certainty we will be back!

Chill atmosphere, casual attire on a Saturday night. Come cozy, but if you sit by a fire pit you're good. They have heaters around the place. Ordered two drinks and a vanilla hookah. The vanilla hookah was good, we ordered new coles, service was fast. Jay was nice. I needed a bit of more sweetness to my Irish kiss and a lady came to ask exactly, super nice. I just wanted some sweet and low. The Khalua was hitting hard from this Irish kiss. I went to the restroom, it was clean. Vibe for a nice casual date night w hookah, be chill.

The inside is very cozy feeling, with the entire wall behind the bar being basically a library of whiskey. My first visit, I had a flight of Redwood Empire bourbon & rye. It was god, RE makes great stuff. For my second visit, I had their Islay Trio flight, wanting to try something different. Best one was by far the Lagavulin 16 year (glass on the right), as it has a rich peaty flavor to it. They even allowed my dog to sit inside with me, although we were limited to the counters at the front of the lounge. Nonetheless, the staff were very accommodating to my pup and I, even bringing him water. This is a fantastic place to visit if you're a whiskey connoisseur, or just want a good cocktail. Cheers!

We booked Stokes Adobe for table of 8 (including two small toddlers) They brought out little coloring paper & crayons which was super nice of them. We were seated in a private area which was nice since our two small toddlers like to walk around and it's less distraction. We did family style and ordered a bit of everything! Crispy potatoes: Love the carbs! The potatoes were crispy and delicious. The lemon truffle crema sauce was so yummy! Oysters: Definitely order half shell oysters! They were delicious! Hamachi: This was okay, nothing special to be honest sinc Mussels: This one was also delicious as well. It was made with white wine and tomato broth with butter, shallot, garlic. Beets salad: You can't go wrong with ordering a beet salad! The honey vinaigrette was delicious! Santa Cruz King Salmon: This dish was simple but tasty. The Meyer lemon sauce went well with the salmon. 12oz Pork chop: The meat was soft and easy to bite into. The cauliflower puree was delicious! Snake River American Wagyu: I thought the steak was okay. It was a bit too rare for me personally but my husband liked it! Brussels sprouts: Yummmm! Love the crispy Brussels sprouts. Overall service was great and the food was good. The only downside of the night was not getting the duck liver mousse toast. Not sure why the order went through when we mentioned in the beginning but hope to try it next time we're in town.

The vibes are here but it all stops there…read more.. Let me start by saying that I love this place. Just needs a bit of cleaning up on their transparency. The 'keep it open' policy is something I appreciate but would also appreciate an itemized receipt when you close out. Here's why to keep your eye out when drinking at this establishment. 1- when you close out, it's helpful to verify what you consumed to ensure you're corrected charged. My receipt was the merchant copy and the customer copy. Itemized? Really had to ask for it. 2- the merchant copy - it asked for a tip and the total amount. When we closed out our beer and well drink, it was ~$28. Weird, right? So my thought was that they clearly charged something incorrect. 3- when there's something automatically charged, it had better be communicated to me upfront. The gratuity was automatically added and IT WAS 20%! No sign, no way to notify me that it was already added. It didn't even say so on the merchant or customer copy. On top of that, the copy asked for AN ADDITIONAL TIP. For something like that, I had better get great service. 4- The service here is spotty at best. There's usually one bartender for the often busy bar. Not a problem, usually. But with that high of a price, better serve your customers well and have a fully stocked bar. 5 - the options were lacking. Two things you'd think would be stocked but weren't - espresso (come on, even Kahlua) and apple liqueur for an espresso martini and appletini were too much to ask for, I guess. Overall, a disappointment. Good thing they have the vibes nearly right. But awful business practices.

I stuck with a classic martini, but others in our party of five explored the cocktail menu and were impressed. The bartender was warm and welcoming and greeted us right away for our reservation. Unfortunately, the experience took an awkward turn at seating. We had requested a view and were about to be accommodated when another staff member (auburn hair) interrupted abruptly and loudly, insisting we not be seated up front due to other reservations. It was uncomfortable and felt unprofessional--especially in front of guests. As it turned out, she was our server. Throughout the evening, her demeanor didn't improve and felt out of step with the otherwise welcoming environment. Having spent over 25 years in the industry and as a restaurant owner, I know how important frontline staff are to the guest experience, and this simply didn't reflect the level this place is capable of. That said, this feels like the exception--not the norm. I've had pleasant experiences here before and will return, hopeful that this was just an off moment.

Yet the ambiance, service, and food are very good! I love the various aspects of the decor, as well. Other than parking challenges on a busy night in the downtown, we were lucky to get a table for 5 relatively quickly, as this place isn't that large, with some additional bar seating, and it seems very popular. 5:30 was a great time, as we watched the waiting line grow longer after we were seated. Our server, Michael J., did a great job of greeting us, providing menus, and taking initial drink orders while we decided what to try. We decided to try BBQ honey wings, fried artichoke hearts, and onion rings for appetizers. The main courses were two orders of kids' cheese pizza and tater tots, a small dinner salad, a cup of New England-style clam chowder, and a NY Steak sandwich. The food came in a reasonable time, with appetizers and salad first, then the rest. The apps were good, but the onion rings were a bit greasy. The honey wings were well-liked, as well as the artichoke hearts, which, strangely, were not oily like the onion rings. Yummy! The cheese pizzas paired with tater tots were certainly different, but the pizza was more like a reheated frozen pizza. The tots were okay. The NY Steak sandwich was good as well, with a side of steak fries - obviously! Overall, we enjoyed the meal and would definitely consider dining here in the future when in town.
