This is as close to a 5-star review as I am comfortable giving. The only reason is that it's not 5 stars is because they don't accept credit cards. The soups here are incredible. I have been here twice, had 4 different soups and they have all been mind blowing and soul enriching--in fact I heard that it was the chicken noodle soup here that inspired that book written by that guy like 20 years ago. Why he went with the chicken noodle instead of the Caribbean curried pork or portuguese sausage stew was his loss that day, but ultimately led to a much better book title. For serious though. The soup menu here is extensive and changes often. I won't even bother saying what's good, but everything I've tried has been good. Cant argue with free samples of soup either. I drove by a few times and only saw the pool hall, so finally today I parked the car and located Infinite Soups and boy I wish I had done that sooner. Small inside but not their soup selection, they have a plethora of soups to choose from including vegan and vegetarian options. We tried the tomato bisque, 3 cheese potato, and 4 others that I cannot remember, but all of them were amazing. All together there were probably over a dozen soups, but don't expect them to last late into the day, we were informed that they sell out pretty quick. They sell them in 3 sizes ranging from 4,5 and 6 bucks giving a few options. The 6 buck option you could probably split or just save it for later. Lastly bring cash or check they don't except cards otherwise "No Soup For You." read more

Ages ago Seattle had a place called Nana's. The soup there was phenomenal and the selection was robust. The changed locations, sold to someone else and sadly the business went downhill and died. No worries, there's something even better in Tacoma. Sure, there's no seating and no, they aren't open for dinner but a huge selection? Yup, they've got that. Delicious? They've got that covered too. Most important though, their prices are reasonable. Beyond reasonable, the prices are downright cheap for what you're getting. You'd be silly not to check this place out. Awesome soups! Northwest weather is perfect for soups,coffee and tea and I feel fortunate that Infinite Soups is nearby and so good! The soup roster changes everyday and the list is quite long! I had a great chicken soup when I first lit into town and later a wonderful Chipotle Cream soup! They have breads that accompany your soup which are fresh and delicious! Be aware though that Infinite Soups only accepts cash and there is no ATM there. Also the place is very small and has no seating so have a back up plan as to where you will eat or if you want to hang outside that is probably ok too. read more

Just stopped by to check out the soups. As soon as you walk in, your greeted with delicious smells. The soup samples sold us on our choices. They have delicious bread and corn bread too. Always a quick and delicious experience when we get soup here. Grab a couple bowls as we headed to the waterfront a couple days ago to eat lunch and feed the greedy seagulls. Parmesan Kale Tortellini was my go to that day and my kids had the Parmesan Spinach Tortellini and Lemon Ginger Chicken (I hope that's the name for the chicken soup). Since moving into the neighborhood I've wanted to try Infinite Soups. I like how they list the soup menu on their Facebook page. Today two soups on the menu caught my eye and I decided it was time to finally give them a try. I walked in the front door and there was two gentlemen where in front of me. After a few minutes they left and I stepped up to the counter. I was expecting a "hi how you doing?", or maybe a "what can I get you?", or heck maybe even a smile? What am I presented with, a look of "what the hell do you want?". My immediate thought is great, these guys watch a little too much Seinfeld and think the Soup Nazi routine is funny. Well it's not, it doesn't add to the ambiance, or the taste of the soup. Which by the way was disappointing. I ordered two bowls, one of Pepper Beef w/ Blue Cheese and one of Spicy Curry Chicken. I was thinking chunks of beef, some pepper flavor, and chunks of blue cheese. Well the blue cheese was there and there was pepper beef flavor but no actual beef to be found. The Curry Chicken was mushy and seemed over cooked. The chicken was hard, again probably overcooked. I couldn't finish either bowl, the texture and flavor just wasn't there. Oh, and best yet CASH ONLY! Don't make the mistake of not bringing cash, there is no ATM nearby either. read more

This soup is incredible. After seeing some buzz on Facebook about this place, I decided to come try it out on a chilly Saturday afternoon. I was greeted and helped immediately. They have a variety of bread options to choose from, which all looked amazing. I chose the corn bread. I wanted to try the 3 cheese potato, but unfortunately they were sold out. My next choice was the Mexican corn chowder. It came to $8 for a bowl of soup and cornbread. Let me tell you, it's the best soup I've ever had. It's creamy, has a ton of flavor, lots of corn and green chiles. Bottom line- I can't wait to go back and bring my family. Try them out! read more

I used to come to Infinite Soups 20 years ago as a child and continued to visit until 10 years ago when my family moved out of state. For the last 10 years, I've searched for any restaurant or recipe with a soup similar to Hunters Meatball without success. The opportunity arose for me to road trip through Washington again and I couldn't surpass the chance to have Hunters Meatball soup again. I messaged the management on Facebook the day before who stated they would make sure it was available the following day for me. Unfortunately when I got there - they were sold out. The kind lady working mentioned they had some meatballs left in the container and packaged me up the scrapings from the container. It was 10/10 perfect and just as I imagined. Definitely worth the 15 hour drive up. If I lived in Washington, I would be a regular for the Hunters Meatball soup alone. However, every other soup I have had from there has been amazing. We bought: Chipotle Corn Chowder (good, but too spicy for my weak taste buds) Curried Kale and Tofu (an unexpected YUM!) Asparagus Parmesan Tortellini (also an unexpectedly delicious soup-I wish I'd bought more) Potato Cheddar (I'm assumed after simmering all day, by 5pm that's what turned the potatoes more into mashed potatoes-but still good). The first time I found this place more than a year old, it was like, you walked in and the employees were like "sighhh, a customer." Not super friendly. Tonight I got the impression the guy behind the counter was hurried. So, its probably best they don't have seating of any sort, because you'd probably sit there uncomfortably as the people behind the counter ignored you. No seating doesn't bother me, because you get your soup, and go park on Ruston Way and look out at the water while eating. read more

This place is great. Just don't come in hoping for a seat. This is takeout only, but don't let that stop you. The soup is tasty, hearty and we could not find any flavor not worth eating. Checkout their Facebook page for the daily selections. I loved how the list the options under 4 headings to make it easy to narrow things down--creamy, not-creamy, veggie, vegan. I think they had something like 15-20 flavors so highly likely you'll find one you like. If you feel like soup in Tacoma, this is the place. Dig in. Infinite Soups already has a location in Tacoma, but this location (inside the Post Office Building in Downtown Tacoma) is really great!! The soups really are to die for. All of the soups are so unique-- I had a bacon and pepperoni soup that was incredible, a chicken enchilada soup, a coconut curry soup... the list goes on! They let you sample any soup (though that gets hard when there's a super long line), but I seriously haven't had a bad soup here. Plus it's $5.50 for a large, and it will fill you up! What a great deal for a homemade, delicious soup! I also get a roll, which are good too. You can't go wrong with the roll or corn bread (if they still have some left when you get there-- they go fast)! I wish they would get a location in SEATTLE!! HINT HINT!!! Tip: Be prepared for a long line during lunch hours, and just keep in mind soups will run out. I usually have a late lunch, so by the time I went-- half the soups were crossed off. read more

Wish there was a way to look at the menu choices prior to arriving at the shop. I read the reviews to "like" them on facebook, but i didn't bother. This was my first time to the place. I came in, took a quick glance at the chalk board with a list of soups and randomly picked the peppered beef and blue cheese soup. The soups was hot, delicious and tasty. AWESOME comfort food for the rainy weather!! They did have some bread choices for an additional cost (see pictures) Drop biscuits, corn bread, multi-grain ciabatta and sourdough baguettes. I think it's best to go super early. I ordered the meatball soup and it was full of salt and oil. It was the last cup. Not edible. The staff was really nice and working hard. I had no idea you needed cash or check, I only had a card, so I had to go to an atm to pay them(which I did) But they were so calm about it and put trust before all. That alone would bring me back. Went here for 7 consecutive work days last week and this week before posting this review. My new work is 6 mins away from this Soup Gem Spot. The first time I went here no one was there and the sign said be back in 5 mins so I waited for mins 15 and left. Last week on Friday I called them and no one was picking up so I decided to just drop by. They were closed and was supporting the statewide strike black lives matter. So the anticipation for going to this place is simmering For five days this week I had this soup and it was AMAZING!!! I kid you not! Like everyday its like an addiction that I cant stop from happening. My favorite so far is the chicken tortellini and the Tomato Tortellini. All their soup that I tried are really good and just the right creaminess in it. This is a place that I would like to frequently go to.
