I can't say enough how awful this company is. Where do I even start with the poor business practices and terrible customer service of Infinity Auto Insurance? I am insured by another company and was rear-ended by a driver insured with INFINITY insurance (a subsidiary of Kemper). The agents at Kemper were very difficult to get on the phone and after the first few months of my settlement payment being delayed, and extremely sluggish communication with them, they just stopped returning calls and emails. It took me OVER A YEAR of trying to contact them through voicemails and emails - all of them civil, polite and professional - to finally get a settlement check from them (which was for a ridiculously low amount considering my car was totaled). Infinity (KEMPER) is absolutely a nightmare to deal with. Even the driver who hit my car and was insured with them switched to another auto insurance, citing the same complaints I had. I tried to file a comprehensive and collision claim to help repair my car after hitting something road in that was unavoidable. They were only willing to help me pay under my $500 deductible which repairs were almost $3000. Please save yourself some time and money don't use them. They may cheaper the beginning; however when you want to use them for what you need them for, they won't help you. There are several horror stories like mine. All I can say is don't use them. Wish I could give 0 stars. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. A couple years ago, my family was in an accident caused by another driver. He didn't have insurance so it fell under my uninsured motorist. They paid 14k for repairs to my car that they said was worth WAY more than it was. I hoped they would total it so I could just start over. This was not the case. I had to keep the car with all the repairs that they claimed wouldn't depreciate the value. After paying for my own rental car even though i had a rental car agreement, I cut my losses, got my car back, and tried to put this horrible experience behind me. I left Kemper Infinity ASAP and went to Geico (where I paid 20 dollars less for better coverage! Should have done that from the begining!). Fast forward 2 years, I am trading my car in, when they tell me I can not get rid of the car due to the salvaged/total loss on the title! The Insurance company claimed a total loss!!!! How is that when they fixed and gave me back my car???? After saying value wouldn't depreciate??? I had GAP insurance! If this was the case then the car would have been paid off, not given back to me!!! Now I have to deal with having a total loss vehicle that I'm paying FULL price payments for. This company sucks major d. I go out to my car one morning. Had a big gnarly scratch on the car. I call the insurance to report a claim, long long story short they said I lied and that the car was moving forward when the damage occurred. Truth be told it looks that way to be honest. I have to be honest... Got this insurance through freeway insurance... Then after I committed, I saw the reviews on yelp. My heart dropped... But when the day came where I hit an animal and needed to file the claim, I was shocked. Everything went smoothly in a timely fashion. I mean my vehicle only needed about 2600$ in repair, but they paid it and my insurance didn't go up... I did have to pay $250 deductible of course. That's expected though. So we just bought a used car. 3 days after we got it, a gentleman ran a red light and we were in an accident. He was sited by police for running the red light. Company said they received authorization for the repairs, that only took two weeks. Then it took almost another two weeks to get the information sent over to the body shop. They only got it be stating they would charge the company $100 storage fee. Now they are saying they won't release the car without $500.00. To top that off, the repair company will be placing a lean on the vehicle. They never informed us they would be processing it under our insurance, nor that there would be a deductible. We are opening a claim with the California Department of Insurance. Bottom line stay away... read more

They send me a letter saying my claim is denied and to call their Customer Complaint Dept to contest it. I called today. It was over one hour before somebody live picked up. Why would anyone get an insurance from a company who likes to be represented by horrible drivers. At 740am this morning one of their drivers in car 18019 merged into a lane where I (the car u,turning) had the right away. She almost hit me! And my son sits behind that passengers side so he would have been the one to get struck!! By far the worst customer service ever. When trying to file a claim, agent was very rude and incompetent. Many errors were made in the claim which caused the claim to be dropped due to inconsistencies. Vehicle was held in a storage area until investigation was done. After a month of vehicle in storage, claim was dropped and owner had to pay $600 storage fees. We would have been glad to keep vehicle on our property while the investigation was complete. The absolute worst service! I unfortunately was hit twice this year (2018) and had to file 2 claims. Each time it was an absolute nightmare. For my second claim, my car has been settled a total loss, they have already taken my car away, I have UPS documentation that they have received my title and yet they are saying they didn't and have not issued me payment. So my mother called to inquire about adding my nephew who is not driving yet. The price was ridiculous so she declined so I try to make my payment and it says it has been cancelled! I called and did a chat with a rep and they both tell me that the policy was cancelled because we never added or excluded my nephew!!! What kind of madness is this? Then one of the reps tells me I should be careful what I ask for when I call in, how do you tell a customer that? I finally was put through to a supervisor who told me it is company policy and is somewhere in the policy that anyone 15 years or older has to be added or excluded if they they live in the home with the policy owner. I have to write a review for the worst costumer service I've ever experienced. Waiting on hold for up to an hour and being treated very very rudely by their " professional agents" was one of many reasons why I'm posting a review. This company has horrible service. The tow truck was never sent out, so I ended up paying out of pocket for my girlfriend. No reimbursement. Not to mention that the car received tickets while sitting there for street sweeping and broken windshield. The car sat there until I payed for a private party tow to the shop. The appraiser never contacted our party to inform us of the status or what they were going to do with the car. The appraiser also stopped all repairs on the car and never thought to contact the owner of the car to let them know why or whatever the reasons are. This is a very unprofessional company. One of the agents actually hung up on us when we told them that the appraiser never got in contact with us or left any message pertaining the vehicle. The vehicle that was supposed to get fixed it literally sitting in a lot because the insurance company can't schedule to pick it up. The agents said it's scheduled for a tow and takes up to 2 days but it's going on 2 weeks! Feels like they want to claim cheap insurance but it definitely feels like a scam. They just want your money and don't and won't repair it or help when the time comes. Stay away from this insurance company and go with a more professional and reliable insurance. Please take caution and make arrangements with a different company. The full coverage policy and tow are not being dealt with. Paying so much for insurance and charging hidden fees doesn't feel right especially when it's time to get our vehicle repaired and now there's no courtesy or professionalism given. Here is the story: Our car was hit and totaled at 4:40 am while parked at the end of our driveway .The idiot driver was most likely drunk or on pills. (She drove 3 miles on a rim and the cops followed the swerving rim mark from the accident site to her truck which was parked completely on a sidewalk.) We called our insurance when they opened, we called INFINITY directly after, The Claim adjuster came out about 5 days after the accident. So far so good right? WRONG THAT ASSESSMENT WAS A FULL 22 DAYS AGO AND WE STILL HAVEN'T HEARD BACK WITH ANY STATUS UPDATES ! We have called and spoke to our adjuster and he submitted the claim, We called the manager who is handling it multiple times and its been 2 weeks with NO RESPONSE. GET THIS ! When we originally called infinity the guy we spoke to actually said the following: "This is the insurance people get when they can't get it anywhere else do to dwi's and terrible driving records" HOW THE HELL IS THIS BUSINESS STILL A FLOAT ? After filing a claim with them, I was denied because they said that they fully believe their driver. This is a company that insures drivers with no license and no vehicle registration. I'm surprised that it's even legal for them to exist. Well I've been with infinity for over 6 years paying full coverage costs. One day I parked my car in a garage in a retail/residential parking garage to go eat I come back to my truck and someone hit my car. I went to the office seen the surveillance and seen the car that hit my truck. Due to the office policy they would not release the footage to me. I filed a police report then called infinity I told them what happened and sent pictures, well when I spoke with them they said I hit a fixed object and treated me like I did something wrong like i was committing fraud.
