Although I did have a good experience with my braces, in terms of customer service, I wouldn't recommend. I always have trouble scheduling appointments and today, when I called several times to make an appointment for my retainers, I got sent to voicemail 10 times. It's not the first time they don't answer my calls, and even when I leave voicemails, they never return the calls. What I don't understand is when I'm there, the receptionists take the calls so I don't understand why they don't take mine, and I call during business hours or leave a voicemail if I know they're out of office. I'm only finishing my regiment and then I'm not coming back. I'd rather not struggle so much when trying to make an appointment, especially since the drive is so far from where I live. I do have some complaints regarding my experience with braces and stuff but that isn't my main issue. It the lack of customer service that is the issue. read more

Although I had already decided to possibly change dentist due to the experience I was going through of a job done incorrectly according to multiple dentist, the rude front desk, today the dentist sealed the deal. Don't go to dental Del Valle. Unfortunately I gave them too many opportunities to fix what they did wrong initially. I only did it because of some of the staff which were great but when the employer no longer cares about the patient and only cares about the $$$ the customer service takes a dump!!! As if I hadn't paid enough for my crown, which fell off (which cost thousands) the dentist said, "I can't re-cement it for free". I have been struggling to find a dentist for so long and I when I mean I been to most trying to get help with pain and a office that's competent we'll after years I found it, unfortunately they were my last dentist I called and when I called telling them my situation i was in agony they literally got me in the next day MS. HOPE at the first dentist was a gem that's the first face of the front desk she greets you with a smile helps and gets paperwork processed extremely fast. MR. ANGEL where do I begin he was a sweetheart from the moment I got called in he asked me what were my concern and immediately got to work he notice I was in agony so asked if it can temporarily put a filling to prevent in pain but has he was doing it, mind you I had a cracked tooth to where my nerve was exposed to anything were i couldn't even drink water without crying. ANGEL immediately numbed me and MRS. ERICK came in and explained as well amazing and they brought in the DR. ARIAS, godsent!!! He started my root canal right there and then. When i tell you i don't complain nor cry over pain or anything, I walked out in literal tears of relief I was in and out in 30 MINUTES!!!! I was referred over for a root canal. I showed up to my appt and they ended up telling me that they couldn't do it that day. I understood since I work in a medical setting but they didn't tell me that on the phone. I asked while making the appointment and they assured me that we could it that day. I was in pain so I expected direct communication. The day finally comes and the wait was ok, not too bad. My bad experience was during the procedure. I felt it! It hurt soooo bad to the point where I jumped up a bit and even raised my hand. The dentist did not stop or even acknowledge my pain. I had tears coming down my face. By the time he finished, I was tensed up and in shock that it just happened. He didn't say a word to me or even acknowledge my pain. He stepped out right away. The assistant with him asked if I was ok but didn't say anything reassuring when I said I felt it. I go to check out and the girl at the front desk asked for my signature for an additional filling! They didn't even tell me they were going to do it. I understand it is necessary but there was no communication at all. I came here for a check up and to get my teeth cleaned. Everything was going pretty well despite the situation with covid19. This was in late June. I was told I would receive a phone call to schedule another appointment to have some fillings replaced and my wisdom teeth removed by a specialist (they said the specialist only visits every two months) who (they said) was scheduled to come in sometime in July. I told them I was moving out of the country in August so that would be perfect. Fast forward to mid-July, I didn't get any phone calls from them. I finally called them and they told me the specialist wouldn't come in until August. So much for getting my teeth in order before moving out of the country. I didn't ask about my fillings at that time because I honestly was unhappy to hear about the wisdom teeth (my top priority) and forgot to ask. Once I remembered, I waited a few days to see if I'd get anything from them. No such luck. Called again today and they told me the earliest they could schedule me was late August. I explained my situation (for the third time) in a calm voice as I understand everyone is going through something, and the woman hung up on me. No "sorry," no "let me see if anything else is available," nothing. Just put down the phone. Customer service in-person was great. Over the phone, 1 Star. My visit would rank at the 4 star level but I'm not too keen on "service providers" hanging up without even so much as a "bye." All that said, if you can get past some of the workers on the phone that perhaps could benefit from some more training, your visit might be worth it. Saying this from the perspective of someone who has also worked in healthcare and picked up the phone for appointments. Though it's not always in our hands whether we can schedule something earlier, it's nice to wrap up the call with a "we appreciate your patience" or even a "we apologize for the inconvenience. I'm relatively new to the Cochella vally, moving from Laguna Beach, buying a home in Palm Springs. I went to a dentest 5 min. from my home, they accepted Medicare. My first appointment, (not with Del Valle) with the new dentest, they did not take time to give me an oral exam, simply took a look and refered me to Dental Del Valle, for I need a wisdom tooth extracted. As a new patient, the Palm Springs dentest had a snippy receptionist and the Dr.only spent, seemingly, 5 min. Checking out my dental concerns. So my experience with the PS dentest was totally unacceptable, but they were close to my home so I thought I'd try them out. They informed me, I required a wisdom tooth extracted, so they refered me to Dental Del Valle, in Indio. Less than pleased, I made the appointment to drive to Indio. Well, here is where my dental experience changed. Upon entering Dental Del Valle, I was greeted by three very welcoming and pleasant receptionists. After filing out the new patient forms I was immediately escorted through the vast interior of the facility. Upon first impression I was unbelievably impressed by the multiple rooms or stations, for various procedure needed. They seemingly had it all. Clean, spacious, extremely professional, in appearance, complemented by a welcoming assembly of doctors, associate doctors and any number of internal employee's to assist. Of course being uncomfortable having any dental work done I was filled with anticipation and childhood memories of the drill noise and the smell that followed. NONE IF THAT... the equipment looked as if it were leading edge of the industry. Asking to feel no pain.... I felt NO pain but a quick pinch from the needle and within a quick moment Dr Chris wiggled my tooth a bit, still with extreme nervousness waiting for the big pull.... the Dr announced the tooth was pulled. I felt nothing !!!! And...I did not leave with a Novocain hangover. It was the most noninvasive experience imaginable. Well of course, then if course, I wanted them to do all of my dental work from then on... drive or no drive, I wanted to switch dental offices. So I wanted to make a follow up dental appointment. The front desk said they would not take me as a new client. That, I had to return to the dreadful Dr. and distasteful receptionist in Palm Springs. For it was a matter of ethics, they refused to make a follow-up appointment for future work, because I was refered, from another Dentist, for the extraction. The Palm Springs Dr. never provided a service other than a brief visual examination and referral. Therefore; I could change offices providing I got a professional release from PS doctor. Which I was given. So I am able to say that Dental Del Valle has the highest respect from other dental colleagues in the Coachella Valley by refusing to poach me as a new client. Now, since my release of PS Dr. I've experienced the professional treatment once again, by Dental Del Valle. I was seen by Dr. Chris, who reviewed the future dental work that needed to be done. But more importantly the associate dentest Angel, went beyond any expectations. During my X-ray procedure, for my examination, he was very careful not cause any discomfort, but more importantly he listened. He listened to my extreme vanity cry before Christmas, to please fill in my two front teeth, for during life, they've both chipped. Dr.Chris, very kindly gave me my options to cap my two front teeth, but could not get insurance approval in time for the holiday. I was disappointed. Angel, proceeded to scrape and clean, I thought, the two teeth. Not telling me, he was actually filling in the chipped teeth so in my holiday photos I would have perfect straight teeth. When he handed me the mirror, to my absolute surprise he fixed my two teeth. My extreme Holiday vanity was achieved, only by Angels listening, caring and kindness. Thank you! These are the reasons I've taken the time to praise Dental Del Valle and to their continued success. It all starts with their receptionists. When I showed up to my appointment they told me they could not see me as same day appointments are for emergencies only. This is the second time mess up with scheduling me. Rarely do I give 5 stars. The only reason I docked down to 4 stars is due to the front end staff. Some of the employees need to remember we patients pay their wages. Some, not all of the front end staff tend to be short with the people waiting to be seen. Many of us are coming in pain. We wouldn't be here if we could help it. I came in, in pain so severe I wanted to tear someone's face off, but I maintained my composure. As someone who worked in middle management retail and as a merchandizer, I know how difficult working with the public is. You learn to tolerate the BS and move on with a smile. Front end employees, remember that. Take a deep breath and maintain. No one relishes having fingers in their mouth, the whirrr of the drill, and the pain of an extracted tooth. I'd rather give birth than have dental work done That being said..... Thank you Angel and Dr. Hani for taking good care of me. Your patience, compassion and care put me at ease in a difficult situation. While I will never be 100% comfortable having dental work done, and trust me, it takes a lot of pain to get me into the office. I'm no spring chicken anymore and I've endured plenty of pain in my life, and I shake like a leaf when I'm in the "chair of the unknown" I've made it through filings and extractions in relative calm, and that is due to ANGEL and Dr. Hanoi. When I tell you that this man is a Dental God I mean it! Dr.Arias is a perfectionist and he makes sure to give all his patients the most flawless smile. I had braces before with another doctor and one of my bottom tooth had shifted. I decided to visit Dr.Arias since both of my siblings had their smiles done by him and they looked great. He was so pleasant and helpful which made me feel as if I could trust him instantly. I was refered to this dental group by a dental group that does not do root canals. I knew I needed some pretty extreme dental care, and money was a factor, as well as needing this care quickly. I've always been frightened by dentists, and knowing if have to have teeth exsized didn't make walking through the doors of this practice easy, but I'm happy I did. I've had xrays taken before and it was somewhat painful. Carlos took the xrays and was very gentle, compassionate. I got to look at my xrays and it confirmed what I already knew.... my mouth is a mess. Dr. Arias came in and explained to me what he was looking at and spoke to me about my options where. I decided to get the ball rolling by having 2 extractions. Dr. Arias numbed my gums, and with superb skills he extracted a molar and a tooth at the front of my mouth. I was tense but I knew I had to have this done, so I tried to stay very calm and let the Dr. weave his craft. Let me tell you, I almost cried afterwards. Dr. Arias kept me focused by a calm voice telling me I was doing a good job. The last extraction I had at another practice left me in mega pain. While I did have pain afterwards, I had taken a pain pill before the extraction, and as soon as I got home, I took another one. Later that night, I took my last pill. When I woke up in the morning my pain was gone! Normally I would have gone to Mexico to have my dental care. We have dogs so we would need 2 days in a hotel. Coming to this practice saved us some money, as the prices at Del Valley are about the same as in Mexico. So, consider using this practice if you need dental care. Dr. Arias has a talented skill with a merciful heart to manually kneading a silver crown to fit my cracked tooth in 10 minutes. It was so amazing to see how focus he was doing it because he cared about his patient. I was referred to have Xrays done for my daughter. I wasn't please with their staff. First walked in there was more staff members standing in the front desk visting and chatting away. The tech took my daughter in the back for her xrays. I asked if i can be there her being a minor and was told no. After the test the tech brought my daughter out speaking to in Spanish not even knowing if my daughter knew Spanish. I asked for the images as i was told to hand carry them to her other dentist. Tech kept speaking to me in Spanish as I respond to her in English. One of the staff couldn't even answer a simple question. When I left I felt they were rude and didn't care to show it. A few minutes passed I returned back into the office to give them the information that they needed and stated they will call until tomorrow because the other office was closed. I was able speak with my daughters dentist clerk and was able provide that infomation. But of course now there was no one at the front desk to help. To the staff surprise I told them here's the info and the office wasn't closed. Not a good way to experience for a first time visit. read more
