Eggs Benedict with Nova Scotia Lox
Alejandro L.

Solid brunch and breakfast spot in Cleveland (Near Cleveland Heights). While shooting on location in Cleveland, I stayed in the CH area and found this little diner style breakfast spot. They close around 130pm so be sure not to sleep in too much! Great service and decent prices -- I recommend the Benedict -- they all seem pretty yummy. I've gotten the Eggs Benny with corn beef hash and lox. I sub the English muffin for a biscuit bc it's a better base. Good coffee, service, and food. Great spot on the weekend to get grub after a long work week. Next time maybe it'll be the pancakes!

Steak and eggs

The inn on Coventry is a mid place. Not bad, just not great. They do great poached eggs and the hash browns are pretty crispy, but the coffee is always burnt/bitter. We got the poached eggs with crab cakes and steak with scrambled eggs. They patched eggs were very good, but the crab cakes were a little too fishy. Still good, but won't get again. The steak unfortunately was tasteless. Luke it had been boiled first and then grilled a little to warm it up, and very tough. Won't get again. The service was decent but the place was cold and loud. Like I said, not a bad place, just mid.

The food was great. Huge pancakes and the Benedict(s) were masterpieces. The cooks clearly are doing THEIR job. It really sucks because the establishment is cute, food was great, but the service was beyond subpar. It was relatively busy, so I tried to be understanding, but we made an order from our server and then saw her maybe one time after that. Someone else delivered our food, we had to ask for a coffee refill multiple times (from other staff members), only for it to be refilled once, halfway. I didn't receive my hot tea until after I finished the meal. Our plates were not taken away at any point, and it felt like ages before we received our check. I will likely be returning at some point, because the food is great and I think this place deserves a second chance. Hoping the service gets better.

A gem if the East, in my opinion. Cozy little breakfast/lunch spot. Vegan/vegetarian options available. Hennessey available also. Enjoy! Lox Benedict pictured below.

Croissant sisterhood

The Inn on Coventry is a classic brunch spot that is definitely worth visiting. I went to celebrate my friend's birthday and it was a great choice. All the brunch items are super affordable. I ordered the croissant sisterhood, which is essentially an eggs Benedict with smoked salmon on a croissant. It was $13 and the most expensive thing on the menu (aka everything else is quite cheap). It was delicious!! The croissant was buttery and perfectly toasted and the eggs were great. I wasn't a big fan of the potatoes, though. My friend ordered a scramble with chorizo and said it was delicious -- perfectly seasoned and packed with a kick. Definitely would recommend this spot for brunch; I would go earlier before it gets too busy!

Great Omelette for brunch. Mimosas are available. Service was great. Tables are a little tight if it's crowded.

There were a bunch of regulars sitting at the counter and chatting it up with the servers. We grabbed a table and were greeted right away. The server checked on us often but didn't smother us. We also witnessed a lot of folks coming in to grab to-go orders. The menu is very simple and straightforward. They serve breakfast all day and lunch service begins at 11am. We both had breakfast. Between us, we had scrambled eggs with cheese, eggs fried over-medium, bacon, French toast, pancakes and potatoes. Everything was decent. I wished that the cheese had been cooked into the scrambled eggs and allowed to melt, but that was okay. Also, the texture of the breakfast potatoes were like mashed potatoes that had been smashed and burned on the flattop grill. We weren't a fan of those. Overall, the place was cute and quaint and the staff was friendly. Everything was priced very reasonably as well. Also, anywhere you can find the locals at is usually a good sign!

The food is exactly what you want from a diner, comforting and done right. They have my favorite style of French toast, and everything was cooked perfectly, including our extra-crispy bacon (which so many places somehow get wrong). The service was attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. I'd easily go again!

The walls are bright, the staff is friendly, and the food is really good. It is a great way to start an excursion through Tremont. We were visiting from out of town and read great things about this restaurant. We had eight people…read moreand were told it would be a 45-minute wait. We were totally fine with that, went and grabbed a coffee from a local shop, and then returned to the restaurant. Food was great and the server was so kind! The reason for the 3-star review is because the hostess was very rude. She completely shattered an easy 5-star review. We had nine people in the family, and one was golfing. We intended to put in a takeout order for him but due to the 45-minute wait, he ended up finishing before we were even seated. We invited him to come along and then we were called to be sat. We ordered his meal for him prior to him arriving and this was still a major problem for the hostess. She basically threatened to move us back outside and told us we were "holding the table" even though we would have never done that. Instead of giving me the opportunity to explain to her we would have done takeout anyways had he not arrived(but he did because again, it was a 45 minute wait), she just continued to talk over me. It made all of us very uncomfortable and the first 10 minutes we felt very on edge and unwelcomed. She then did the same thing to our ninth person when they walked in the restaurant 5 minutes after. He had no idea what had already occurred and was also caught off guard. Most of us worked in this industry in the past, and we thought we were doing the right thing by letting her know. Thank you to everyone else who helped soften our experience. It was very appreciated. Every person who brought a dish to our table was extremely kind. We all had something different on the menu and there were no complaints!

On the outside it's a big silver diner. Looks smaller than it is. Inside there is a good amount of seating and it's not small. Parking is right out front. We sat and ordered pretty quick. I got the chicken noodle soup and salad. Kathy got the Greek salad with chicken. We both got the Greek dressing. The chicken noodle was homemade with plenty of big carrots, celery, egg noodles and a bit of chicken. It was good. Could have used a bit more chicken but it was full of veggies and tasted good. Plus it was hot. Love it. Salad came and it was a decent size. Also lots of veggies. It was just enough food. And the price was great under $8. The Greek salad could have been a bit larger. I thought it looked a bit skimpy. But Kathy got a whole chicken breast cut up. She sub's out the gyro meat. Again dressing was homemade and really good. The desserts looked super good but we did not partake. The menu is good with Bfast, lunch, dinners. Everything from burgers, sandwiches, pasta. Lots to choose from and prices are decent. Service was good. She was very attentive. Overall, good experience and good quick lunch. I'd go back.

That was okay she said. The onion rings were excellent and the best part of our meal.

After looking over the menu, we were pleasantly surprised by the variety of both vegan and non-vegan options available. The atmosphere has that classic small-town neighborhood bar feel--casual, comfortable, and full of local charm. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick, which made the experience even better. We ordered the vegan pierogi dinner and the meatloaf dinner. The vegan cheese in the pierogies wasn't our favorite, but the dish was still very flavorful and enjoyable overall. The meatloaf dinner was a generous portion and absolutely excellent--comfort food done right. Between the welcoming atmosphere, diverse menu, and great service, The Rowley Inn was a delightful find. As for everything else, this little diner is definitely locally owned and locally loved. It was only a few minutes from the farm I took my bf to go apple picking on the far east side of Cleveland. FYI!!! - The menu online is incredibly outdated!! Each thing is about 50% more expensive. Use the attached menu pictures to get an accurate idea of prices in late 2025. This is no longer a cheap place to eat. :( After about 15 minutes of waiting, we were sat at the counter right next to the cash register and could hear everything the staff said. I was enlightened as to how terrible they are treated by stingy, entitled customers. I felt terrible about my impatience at getting seated and getting our food but it seems like all the staff and cooks were just burnt out today. They still did a pretty good job at making yummy food though! My bf got a skillet with home fries and wheat toast. This was a lot of food and the toast was very thicccc and very heavily buttered. I ordered a gyro salad with tzaziki sauce and it came with buttered triangles of pita bread. Since we weren't prepared for the price changes, we just got water to drink. We both were shocked at how LARGE the portions were! The gyro meat was so good and the pita bread was nice and lightly buttered. My bf was a huge fan of the sausage in his skillet. Because we didn't want to leave the food in the car for a few hours, we ate everything and did not have leftovers although we could have! Not sure how well my gyro salad would taste as leftovers though so it was probably best I ate everything. Lastly, I made sure to thank them and tip generously. I hope everyone else there did the same. I ended up paying about $42.
