This ice cream / cookie shop is pretty good! I cannot believe they stay open until 3am! The person behind the counter was very attentive and friendly. When I went, the ice cream selection was limited, they only had four flavors to choose from: vanilla, chocolate, cookie dough, and sherbet. I got a small cup of cookie dough... and it was a lot of ice cream for one person! There were tons of cookie options - nine to be exact ! They had chocolate chuck, classic with M&Ms, double chocolate chunk, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter chip, white chocolate macadamia, double chocolate mint, sugar, snickerdoodle, and chocolate chip brownie. They also had three deluxe cookie options too, these cookie were huge! They had triple chocolate chunk, s'mores, and chocolate peanut butter cup. Listen. I'm loyal to hotbox except when insomnia has the red velvet cookies around Valentine's Day. Otherwise, the cookies are just subpar and Hot Box is just better. Usually we visit the central west end location but on this particular day, my husband and I were already downtown and wanted a red velvet so we stopped by. I did a quick consult of Yelp and saw that there is now a small Insomnia Cookies location on Washington Ave. Perfect! I picked up a dozen hot cookies on my way from work to dinner and 1. Moist, warm, fresh, soft, flavorful. Mmm! #nomnom This place is the bomb.com! They serve some of THE BEST cookies I've put in my face...and I've put a whole lotta cookies in my face. As I walked in, I noticed a humming refrigerator standing ready to satisfy the urge for the item that pairs best with cookies! Milk, of course - white or chocolate. A beautiful display of each of the sweet treats they serve is behind glass, on its own little pedestal, so you can see exactly what you're getting. It would have been so easy to say, "Just give me one of everything." I restrained myself and just ordered three: sugar, peanut butter chip, and chocolate chip. A super courteous employee magically withdrew my cookies from an unseen warming spot underneath the counter and presented them to me in small bags. Half of two of them, and one whole one, made it all the way home. :) Dude, follow the purple beacon of light that is Insomnia Cookies and go get yourself some deliciousness! Insomnia Cookies are so good that I actually have to avoid walking by their stores before I eat so many that I have to be rolled home! My personal favorite is their deluxe chocolate peanut butter cookie. It is giant and chock full of gooey chocolate and smooth peanut butter and topped with chopped peanut butter cups! To make the cookies even better, you can have a custom cookiewich. Pick a cookie, pick your ice cream flavor. They make the cookiewich right in front of you! Soooo good! And they deliver! Only a certain radius from each of the 3 stores. I just know my home is outside the radius. read more

So I was staying at a hotel nearby, and I had ventured down to the bar and grill for a sweet snack. No go. Then to the hotel store; no go. The person at the front said you should order insomnia cookies because they deliver late. I ordered cookies and ice cream a little after 9 PM, never left the hotel, and had my food by 9:45. Was having dinner at Baileys Range and a co work from STL told us we had to walk over & get some... OMG so worth the walk. They are soo good, come in little pizza like boxes. I must have passed the Delmar Loop location a few 100 times and always wondered how they tasted. Well, a coworker brought some in from the downtown location and I had the opportunity to find out. Chocolate chip: 3.5/5 soft but not overly soft and not too much sugar. Oatmeal cookie 1/3: The oatmeal cookie had a spearmint taste to it. I think the double chocolate mint was on top of it in the box. The spearmint tasting oatmeal cookie killed this flavor for me for life from this place. I think I will probably pay them a visit may be another location tho . A fresh brownie late night or early am. I look fwd to that experience. read more

We ordered our cookies around 10pm and we called after an hour and asked about it they said they did not have a driver. After another half hour we called back and asked if we could come pick them up at the store. Shortly after, we got to the facility and they explained they didn't have more than half of the cookies we ordered. after two phone calls they said nothing about not having the cookies we ordered. they said the only thing you can do is call customer service and get a refund. This is a review of the service. I'm not sure when insomnia cookies started delivering through post mates and not doing the delivery themselves but they should go back to doing it themselves. I placed an order at 6:30 with an estimated delivery time of 20-25 mins. I checked the status on post mates and on their website and it said completed. My order was no where to be found. I called and they said postmates had no drivers. 20 mins later they said the manager was gonna drive it to us. 20 mins later still no food. And I WISH I could recall her name. She was so sweet and helped me on my quest for my snickerdoodle fix!!
