I've only had insomnia cookie once before and I immediately rushed to this store when I saw there was one near where I was. There's not much to say other than it lives up to its popularity and reputation. I really wanted to try their new strawberry basil cookie because it sounded really interesting but I ended up going for a s'mores cookie and a chocolate brownie blondie. I got my cookies really quickly and they're a nice sizable portion! I loved how crispy the edges were while maintaining a warm, gooey and fudgey center. Even if you don't finish it in one sitting, it still tastes pretty good the next day if you warm it up a little. The edges may be a bit staler from sitting out, but it's still a good cookie. came in late last night with $1 cookie sticker coupons that were received from this location and the staff refused and gave multiple stories for why they couldn't accept them saying all other locations would despite the stickers being recirved from this location. Gave excuses from the computer system not working to the manager saying they can't accept them the story kept changing and we just felt like we were being lied to and ripped off. I love their cookies. It's so good and delicious. The shop here on East 11th Street is extremely small. Like literally only like 3 people fit in there to order so definitely place an order online and pick it up in store for this location. My cookie cake wasn't ready on arrival which was okay, I went to Trader Joe's on 14th street and had time to shop and come back. The young lady working behind the counter was very nice and attentive. (Pre-COVID-19 experience) I really shouldn't be surprised that the base price at Insomnia Cookies in NYC is higher than the base price at Insomnia Cookies in the wild west of Massachusetts. After all, movies are much more expensive out here as well. The Sugar Rush box of 12 cookies were $21.50 in NY vs $19. But one thing great about Insomnia Cookies is that there was one near each of the universities I was wanting to order a delivery for, although admittedly, it has only been two thus far. I asked the recipient for a two hour window and placed my order online for delivery smack in the middle of the window. A picture of the delivered box was texted over to me 15 min prior to the selected delivery time. The order form was stuck right on top of the box with a complete itemization of the order. So yes, the item ordered, the cookie flavors and numbers of each, but also the cost of the item, the tip I added, the coupon code I used, and the amount charged to my credit card. Not ideal for a gift situation. Perhaps the Gift shipping option would shield such information, but the goods just won't be as fresh, since they use FedEx to deliver those. I was not very happy with my experience here, I really hope management sees this one. Whoever closed tonight, (9/24 at 2.30 AM), was incredibly rude and inconsiderate to our concerns with allergies and managed to get two items wrong on our order. I had to double check if my ice cream was in fact nut free because she gave me the wrong flavor. After getting a half hearted confirmation it was nut free, I decided to eat the order out of politeness for the people on line behind us. Already doubtful of my safety, I decided to stop eating after one bite as I began panicking about her weak confirmation.
