Really wanted to try a milk bar since I've ordered their treats online. Came to this location at 7pm and it had a sign that said be back but didn't say how long. Decided to shop and walk around and come back and it was opened so I ordered the special strawberry shortcake and a few cookies to go. Disappointing that the cookies are just prepackaged like the ones I order anyways. The soft serve melted immediately and ended up being sticky and I had to toss it. I don't think I need to go back.

Milk Bar, located in SoHo, is a small takeout only establishment. There is a small table and chair directly in front for seating that is, of course, first come, first serve. The employee was pretty friendly and gave me his recommendation for The Milk Bar pie. Additionally, I ordered cereal milk as a drink. Please note that both items together are incredibly sweet, so I recommend water also. Other than that, they're a great snack post dinner. You have to try them at least once and decide if it's something you'd like to do again. Personally, every time I go home to New York, I will stop by. You have nothing to lose and maybe a new favorite to gain.

    Gluten Free Birthday Cake Slice

This is how my $14 gluten free slice of birthday cake looked when I opened the box :-) It's literally half a slice? I'm confused?? Did someone take a handful out of it?

The hyped cereal soft serve went from hand to mouth to bin real quick. The child didn't care, I wasn't impressed, the husband neither. Mighty expensive and the crunchy cereal is an add-on not a default.

Always a favorite and open late for your last minute sugar rush needs. You can't go wrong. Holding anything here!

Average cookie and kind of bad service. I would try the cake next time. There's better dessert places.

Whenever I'm in town I always get the cereal milk soft serve with the crunchies. Usually the crunchies are a little salty. This time they brought zero flavor. I think I like the flatrion location better.

First time at milk bar and picked me up a cup of cereal milk soft serve with crunch and it was a great treat which satisfied my sweet tooth. I liked that it was a bit of sweet and the cornflakes was an added touch. Definitely recommend you get a topping. The soft serve was creamy and super satisfying. I ate in slowly in the beginning but finished it off with big bites. I wasn't a huge fan of their compost cookie so I'd skip that the next time I visit. The compost cookie was hard, was it supposed to have that texture? Perhaps it would taste better if slightly microwaved.

I ordered the birthday cake for pick up online. Everything with the pick up went smoothly but the online ordering process is very confusing. You can't seem to order cakes out more than a few days in advance. The cake was sooo amazing!!! Would absolutely get it again.

My favorite!! I love Milk Bar so much, and I will review every single location I go to and say the same thing;. There is no other place in the world that I have visited that does cereal milk soft serve and salty crunch like Milk Bar, and it's such an addicting taste.

Milk Bar Pie Slice , 3 Cookie Deal -Compost Cookie , Cornflake Chocolate Chip Marshmallow Cookie , Blueberry & Cream Cookie

I had these cookies many years ago and they were so delicious. So when I saw this location I got my kids all excited about their cookies. However to my dismay after ordering the 3 cookie deal and a milk bar pie by the slice , it was so underwhelming. These cookies were prepackaged and not baked fresh like how I remembered. iThe cookies were so disappointing because they tasted dry and artificial. Nothing special about these cookies and for sure wasn't worth the price. The milk bar pie tasted the best and that's probably because it wasn't prepackaged. I love David Chang's restaurants so I don't mean to be harsh but I don't understand how he could actually sell these prepackaged cookies to his customers. Cookies from the grocery store would be better than these cookies and for less money! I really feel ripped off and regret not asking for a refund.

I was pleasantly surprised by how rich and nutty all the black sesame flavors were, and that's high praise coming from me because I grew up eating a lot of black sesame desserts in Asia. *Black Sesame Mochi Cake $18.99 I got this mini whole cake for my birthday. Perfect size for a small household (around 3 to 4 slices). I just wish the chiffon had a stronger black sesame flavor, and I would've loved even more mochi and black sesame lava inside. *Black Sesame Puff Square $6.95 HUGE and such a good value for the size. It's a croissant cube with black sesame butter swirled all throughout the loaf. The inside pulled apart easily like fluffy milk bread, while the outside stayed crispy and buttery like a croissant. I could not stop tearing off piece after piece. *Black Sesame Latte $6.99 The black sesame latte was SO GOOD I got it twice in one week. It had this super nutty black sesame cream foam over a black sesame milk base, and I could actually taste both the rich sesame flavor and the coffee.

I ordered the orange, mango and mushroom suisse. There was a bit of a wait for the orders but it wasn't too bad. The cakes were secure in mini boxes and everything was packed into a nice paper tote bag for take out. The desserts were very delicate upon first glance but also easy to break apart (so things got a bit messy). The orange dessert had a more mellow and lighter flavor compared to the mango one. It had a orange mandarin jam center covered with a vanilla cream layer. I didn't really care too much for the chocolate rice crisp bottom layer. The leaves were maybe peppermint though if it was mint then that would make the whole dish edible. The mango dessert was sweeter than the orange one. The mango jam filling was sweet and had a few pieces of mango that were a bit sour but didn't take away from the overall sweet mango flavor. The cream covering the jam must've also been mango flavored. I really liked the mushroom suisse! I reheated it in the microwave for a bit before eating it. I loved the crispy exterior as it contrasted well with the softness of the puff pastry middle. The mushroom filling was also tasty as it reminded me a bit of cream of mushroom soup. I'll be giving their other savory pastries a try during my next visit. FYI, if posting on socials for the complimentary pastry, do so before ordering.

I was initially lured in by the good Yelp reviews. I liked that I could do everything online, I had a particular vision for what I wanted my birthday cake to look like and they communicated with me via email that could make my vision come true. I had a birthday celebration at a restaurant, which I asked The Evercake to have delivered directly to the restaurant. The delivery was smooth and the restaurant had the cake before I even got there. The cake was very cute and did look like what I had pictured. But...what I majorly disliked was the actual taste of the cake and being misled about what the contents of the cake would be. I selected the strawberry shortcake option for my cake and what I got was not what I thought it would be. I think it's quite normal for a strawberry shortcake to have like...real strawberries in between the layers. My cake didn't really have that, and if it did it was hidden in all the strawberry jam that there instead. I was not a fan of the cake texture too and the cream outside of the cake. Overall I felt so sad that I was feeding this to my friends and I told them that they didn't have to finish it because I wasn't going to either. So embarrassing :( Would you believe that this flop of a cake was nearly $200? And that's after the 10% coupon. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it wasn't completely bad, but the cake not tasting good was the biggest thing for me. I would have preferred it the other way around at least, like if the service was so bad but the cake tasted amazing, but unfortunately that was not the case for me. After digging through the reviews some more, I found that this happened to another customer as well. I wish I had seen their review before ordering a "strawberry" shortcake from here lol dang

Places like these are a dime a dozen, so how could this be any different from all the other pain au chocolats and croissants in the city? Turns out I was very wrong. You won't find these flavors in any ol' boulangerie. The milk and honey sticky bun was a Master Class in savory and salty treats. The glaze covered every curve and crevice, and, when cut in half, delicious fillings oozed from within its flaky, airy layers. I was making declarations of love with every bite. The ramp and leek croissant was just as superb and just as generously filled with cream cheese. The flavors were wonderfully herby. This, too, elicited many words of praise. I ordered a matcha, blood orange and Calpico Italian cream soda to wash it all down. This was the most exciting, unique, complex matcha drink I've ever had. It was pleasantly sweet, refreshing, and you can taste a hint of the blood orange! I'm now kicking myself for waiting so long to come here.
