Average cookies and ice cream. Pricier than expected. Service was decent. Would only go there for a late night snack.

Insomnia cookies have a perfect crunchy, chewy, soft, and gooey ratio. Delicious flavors such as peanut butter cup, salted caramel, white chocolate macadamia, triple chocolate, chocolate chunk... I could go on and on about the variety of flavors. This is a pick up and go spot.

Cookies are one of those treats that I can never turn down. So a whole store dedicated to these delicious treats I just had to try. Getting to the store was the difficult part, as parking was a bit of a nightmare (for us non-city folk anyhow). I was immediately impressed with the vast selection of cookies as well as ice cream that you could make a sandwich with. We opted for a few warm cookies instead of the sandwich option. I enjoyed sharing a chocolate chunk, double chocolate chunk, and deluxe chocolate peanut butter cup. The latter of the two were indeed warm as they just came out of the oven and quite good! So are these as good as grandma used to make? Probably not; but they are fresh, warm, and full of ooey gooey goodness. You can see trays coming out of the oven as they set them on top of the ice cream cooler to cool down. If I were in the area, I would definitely try them again!

Delicious and warm cookies! The ice cream isn't too bad either. Their open until 1 or 2 am which is a HUGE PLUS. But when I got here at 12:50 there was literally a HUGE LINE & there were 10 people ahead of us. Luckily we got in before 1 am but by then most of the cookies had sold out by then (no confetti or sugar) but they did have chocolate chip, peanut butter, and we tried the white chocolate macadamia. They were ALLLL amazing! I also got a small cup of the cookies and cream ice cream which was amazing! If you're in the providence area you can also get them delivered. Last time I went to the Wickenden location which was open until 2 am but I called last night and they closed at 12 and told me the Thayer street location was open until 1 am (the door said 2- so still not sure if their open until 1am or 2am). Definitely try this out if you're in the area late night or not so late night- their delicious!

If you're craving late night munchies, here's your place. Which is exactly what brought me and my s/o over. Being our first time there, as usual, I like to try out a couple things. A cookie-wich. So disappointing. One white chocolate macadamia nut, one double chocolate chunk, with caramel ice cream. Ice cream was delicious but, I got about half a scoop. The cookies weren't warm and the ice cream was already half melted. Lost about half my ice cream, since it turned into a puddle, in a cardboard box. Boo. A brownie topped with buttercream icing and cookie dough pieces. The brownie was warm and fudgie but, the icing too sweet for me. My s/o loved it. A mini 12 pack of chocolate chunk cookies. For small cookies, impressive. Chewy with melted chocolate chunks. Yum. Great to share (with a glass of milk that is). They were actually my favorite item. One chocolate chunk cookie. Probably the most disappointing. I expected a warm, soft, ooey-gooey cookie with nice pockets of melted chocolate. Kinda what they advertise. Delicious, warm cookies late at night. Basically, it was a large cookie slightly warm. Kinda like a cookie heated in the microwave. Which I could've done at home. Again, boo. Sum up: if you're crazy craving a sweet munchie variety late at night, yup. Come here. If you just want a warm, gooey cookie; purchase some from a bakery, zap it for a couple seconds in the microwave and save yourself the cash. So overall, meh. But, I'll be going back for the 12 pack minis. Warmed, delicious cookies on the go, for a great price.

I love cookies. I want to love insomnia but here's my experience: It's school vacation week- Kow Kow was closed. I drove from Cumberland to get my daughter a nice snack. I immediately thought of insomnia. It's been on my list to try. pulled up and it was open- but should it be open?! We entered in. No line. Of course we were in search of ice cream ultimately since Kow Kow was on our brain. So we ordered a specialty cookie sandwich. I was going to order something for myself for but once I saw the size of it it was just one for us! They have about 8 slots for ice cream flavors with all the flavors listed. There were only 3 flavors and not in the right spots. So I get if this was a year ago I would be more forgiving but it's April- 1 year after the Covid closures. I expect restaurant to have a good amount of inventory to be open. Pretty basic flavors available. Pretty disappointed. I was a little flustered ordering because the employee was not so happy to be there. He wasn't friendly, looked agitated like we were bothering him and even after I stated it was our first time he offered no help. I quickly paid and moved outside (as it was still COVID times) and ate outside on the grass. The cookies were not as soft as they looked. I was hoping for a soft- gooey cookie. These were not insomnia cookies. Like I said basic ice cream. So why did it cost me so much? The hype. I also bought a few cookies o bring home to my husband. I tried one more- peanut butter and it was basic. I would rather go to a local bakery for a cookie or Pastiche!

They're pricey but they're good. It's not like a cookie you're going to get at an authentic bakery. But it's a yummy cookie and they have every possible flavor you will crave. Chocolate? Covered. Salty? Got it? Not sure? Get 5 (like me!) I've been to other Insomnia's in the past and they're all pretty much the same. Nothing fancy or exciting. But if you are looking for a cookie fix, there's no reason to not stop in. I cannot speak for delivery, but I can guarantee that you'll be satisfied once you've had a cookie or 2 or 7.

Receipt for delivery with missing cookies

A few weeks ago I ordered 13 cookies for delivery. They arrived 20 minutes late (around 10:40 PM) and 6 cookies short! I paid $51+ change (including a healthy tip for the driver) and was missing half my cookies. I texted the driver & he gave me a phone number. I mistakenly texted that number, realized it was probably a landline then called the next day. No one answered. I called again and finally got at least a way to leave a message. I left my details (problem, Phobe number, all details on the receipt for my order, my wish to be contacted and a confirmation of refund for the amount of the missing cookies ). No one ever called me back. But I began being bombarded on almost a daily basis (sometimes twice a day) by sales emails from them!!! Eventually one of their emails was a survey "How are we doing?" SERIOUSLY?! So I told them -and again asked for my refund. Now more than a week has gone by since then and still no response to my problem but 5 more sales emails have come in. Their cookies (some of them) cost more than $3 each - IF they actually send them to you - are tasty, but only if they arrive! This business is THE WORST EVER!!!!!!

They were finally open on a Wednesday when I was in the area - really appreciating their new extended summer hours - so some friends and I walked over. This is located in an easily walkable part of the city where street parking is pretty doable, so it's a great stop to work in to a friend hang or date night since it's near breweries and restaurants. I had my heart set on the Ube, but the other flavors were awfully tempting - I'm dying to come back for the Fruity Pebbles taco and/or ice cream sandwich ASAP! I ordered the Ube ice cream sandwich, which came on coconut cookies, was dipped in white chocolate, and covered with coconut flakes, for $6.50. The ice cream color was bright purple as Ube often is, and the cookies were soft and perfectly melt in your mouth despite being frozen. I was advised by the owner to let it sit for a few minutes before eating as they start out very cold. I could only stand to wait a few minutes before diving in, which ended up being a fine amount of time. The flavors were decadent, the Ube was so sweet and indulgent, like an extreme vanilla as I always describe it, but with a root/woodsy note to it that's hard to explain. I was totally in heaven while eating this! My friends loved their options: Thai iced tea sandwich, Fruity Pebbles sandwich, and Banana sandwich. The pistachio sandwich was reportedly a little too mild for some tastes. My friend got their limited edition ** corn and blueberry!!** flavor sandwich - WHAT!? So unique! I had to steal a bite and was pleasantly surprised - I didn't get blueberry in my bite, but it was like frozen corn chowder - not savory, but still a distinctly 'corn' flavor, not corn flakes, but true, actual, corn. The cookies were thin and square shaped and seemed like a cross between cornbread and a sugar cookie, although I'm not exactly sure what it was. I'd go back here to try more things in a heartbeat, and the amazing and large plants on display in this little shop give such a fresh, unique, and fun vibe. There are some small tables to eat at while you're here which came in handy for us, and the owner even let us hang out a few minutes past close, stating he'd be there anyways cleaning, so we didn't have to go wait outside in the rain - so sweet on all levels!

Plenty of indoor seating, loved that the worker at checkout handed us the ipad to make our scrolling experience / choosing what we wanted so much easier. And all the aesop hand sanitizer? Obsessed What incredible flavors / flavor combos! I got the Sweet summer corn & blueberry blondie bar and WHEWWW I was blown away. So flavorful- and these things are HUGE! For only $7 too? So worth it. We will absolutely be returning as it seems they have flavor drops weekly

It is located next to a school so traffic can be heavy depending on the time of day. I went around 5 pm and the weather wasn't great so not as much traffic and parking right in front. It is metered parking which is a downside but I believe there are side streets without the fee. I loved a lot of the details when I walked in such as the ice cream cone chairs along the wall, the art on the wall, the citrus colors all around, and a water station. The menu isn't very extensive, but | actually love this about them. Each flavor is very unique and when every flavor sounds and tastes good, a dozen options is perfectly fine. They also have it broken up into regular hard ice cream, dairy free ice cream, and sorbet. I couldn't decide on what I wanted but I was allowed to sample different ones before committing to one. They offer 4 different sizes: mini (golf ball scoop) - $4, scoop (baseball) -$6, half/half - $7, and double -$8. During my sampling session, I tried the horchata, thai tea, and dulce de leche. I ultimately opted for the dulce de leche because of its sweet, creamy, and intense caramel-like flavor. It almost tasted like a cold Werther's caramel melting in my mouth, so I needed more of it. However, I loved that the horchata had a strong cinnamon and vanilla presence with a hint of coconut since I do think the non-diary flavors are coconut milk based. The thai tea literally tasted like a frozen thai tea as it was milky but also the black tea undertone was there. I did not get to taste the london fog but I also heard it was a black tea flavor. Just based on internet pictures, it looks like the menu is constantly changing (some staple flavors don't seem to leave) and there are seasonal flavors. This motivates me to come back more often to see what treasures I come across. They had a few tables inside to enjoy your ice cream there. There were two people working so I did not wait much for my turn. They also do offer pints to go, but from what I could see only two flavors: cookies and cream and mango sticky rice.

That part comes down to personal preference... I can tolerate a taste I don't love. What I can't tolerate is bad service. The employee working on 5/25/26 was extremely rude and had no customer service skills. She acted annoyed whenever someone asked for samples and made customers feel like they were wasting her time. She handed over cups of ice cream without spoons or any explanation of where to find them. After running the register, she simply turned around and walked away before the payment even finished processing. Like I said, taste is subjective. How bad can ice cream really be, right? But poor service is something I don't overlook. I won't be returning to this place. In my opinion, 3 Sisters and Sacred Cow offer a much better overall experience.

Eventbrite was easy to use to reserve the ticket and choose the mini ice cream cake flavors. I chose Milk & Cookies and Sweet Cream & Cookies. The class started about 10:50AM, because we were all waiting for 1 guest to arrive. The class had a total of 11 people. On the table, there were round decorating turntables, cups of frosting, frosting spreaders, mini M&Ms, and icing in piping bags. When the whole class was ready, the staff member gave us our first mini ice cream cake and showed us how to frost it and use the piping bag to create grass. Then, we decorated our second mini ice cream cake. I think my second mini ice cream cake was better, but we were pretty much left to decorate freely. I wish there was more instruction from the staff members. Unfortunately, the mini ice cream cakes started to melt while were decorating and it was messy. The staff members were wonderful and friendly though. They let us keep the mini ice cream cakes in the freezer for a bit while my friends and I grabbed a smoothie from Mia Cane nearby. I do not think the class was really worth $27.00, but I try to think of it as purchasing 2 mini ice cream cakes with toppings for $27.00. The mini ice cream cakes had good flavor.

They have a huge selection of flavors, and every time we go in I end up standing there longer than I planned because there are so many tempting choices. It's the kind of problem every ice cream shop should have. The ice cream itself is outstanding. It's fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor without feeling overly heavy. Every flavor we've tried has been excellent, and it's easy to see why this place has developed such a loyal following. In my opinion, it's the best ice cream on the East Side. Just be prepared to wait if you're stopping by on a nice evening. The shop is fairly small inside, and it's not uncommon for the line to stretch right out the front door. Thankfully, the staff keeps things moving, and the wait has always been worth it. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the ice cream and the generous portions. Parking can be a little hit or miss since it's mostly street parking, although there are a handful of spaces behind the building. Somehow we've been lucky the last few visits and managed to grab a spot right out front, even when there was a long line. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the small space and limited parking can make visiting during peak hours a little less convenient. Once you have your ice cream, though, it's hard to complain. If you're looking for fantastic homemade ice cream in Providence, Three Sisters absolutely deserves a visit.
