Stay far away, they're liars. Tech came in, did a "diagnostic" and told me a minimum of $1000 worth of work "had to be done" in order to get my furnace running. When I refused, he texted his manager and got the price down to $803. Again, this was work that he stated "absolutely had to be done or the furnace wouldn't work." The next day, my father came over and helped me repair my furnace for $18. I only needed a new thermostat, but they quoted me hundreds of dollars worth or repairs including "found bad ignition" "found bad flame sensor." I later called back to get the diagnostic fee back, stating that the tech lied. After 3 calls and a call to my credit card agency, they called back almost two weeks later and told me they were not refunding anything and that the repairs were only "suggestions." This is my review of Integrity one day after installation. I chose Integrity despite the overall mediocre ratings from Yelp and Google. People seem to love or hate the company with little in between. Horrible experience. Was told service tech would arrive between 12 and 3. After 3:00 No phone call. At 3:15 I had to call office to see if tech was still coming out. He arrived at 3:30. I explained I had water in my inducer fan housing and that was causing gas to shut off. I pretty much did the diagnostic for him. Was hoping he could solve why the water was draining in the housing. After an hour ( go figure, exactly one hour) he said he called Goodman support and was told that a drain hose had to be installed on housing. Recommended that I do it. I did it ( NOT HIM) and furnace still shut down. I called Goodman Support the following day explained problem and they said NOT to install a drain hose on motor and to blow air through the drains on secondary heat exchanger and vent. I did that and it has worked fine ever since. So I basically spent $180.00 to Integrity for an alledged phone call and wrong repair advice. Not sure what if anything this guy did. It was a complete waste of time and MONEY and I wound up fixing myself. My wife called to dispute the charges and they were totally uncooperative and defended this awful service call. They said the tech would call the following day to explain his side and after a week we are still waiting for this call! DO NOT USE INTEGRITY FOR SERVICE WORK!!! I paid approximately $1500 extra for 10 year warranty on everything. 8 years into the contract the female manager states it's not valid because I failed to read the fine print (still unable to find it) that I need to register my AC unit with American Standard directly. She stated that it's now in big letters on their new contracts because their dumb customers fail to read the contracts. My assumption is that they've had these complaints several times that they are so defensive and plain rude to their own customers. When it came time to finally get a new furnace and air conditioning system, Integrity was the only business we called. They had installed a complete system for my mother's condo and she couldn't have been more pleased with their service. Both of us had been customers of another local heating and cooling place (I won't mention any names) and had been turned off by their very unprofessional practices. Our Integrity salesman, Joe, was very easy to work with and very knowledgeable about the products they offer. He gave us two options and, understanding our budget constraints, did NOT push the more expensive unit. We met him late on Tuesday afternoon, called them to arrange the purchase and installation on Wednesday and they were there bright and early on Thursday to install the system! And this during a busy sale they were having. The crew that came to install the system was very professional. They explained everything and gave my husband a good deal of information, too. We were told that it would probably take a good portion of the day to install but they were done in half the time. They left the laundry room cleaner, probably, than they found it! I would very highly recommend Integrity Heating and Cooling. I'm sure it won't be long before we call them for a new hot water heater, too! read more

I agree with the others that say that this is the wrong name for this company. 3 years ago they installed an American Standard A/C unit at my property. I am sure I overpaid for that. The unit went out this summer. So to continue my relationship with said company, I schedule a service call. The problem...one of the spade connectors deteriorated. As it did the poor connection burned out the contactor. 149.00 for them to drive to my location in Bolingbrook. No diagnostics we told him the wire was disconnected. 170.00 more to crimp a new spade connector onto the wire. Reconnected the wire. Saw the contactor was not connecting. Another 170.00, to replace the approx. 6.00 contactor that was warrantied by American Standard. They got you! You can't back out now and start all over. Tried to contact the company directly following service. they told me three times they were trying to contact the manager and would get back to me. They have never responded. This is one of those companies that you read about on the internet. Scamming people out of cash. Run, Run! Look for another service. PS-They also provided no protection from Covid-19. Technitian did not have a mask and continued to hand Ipad back and forth. No sanitizer. read more

Not recommended, poor customer service. Having recently bought the top-of-the-line heating cooling unit that they supplied, we expected the maintenance and warranty program to be good. So we subscribed. Following the annual maintenance, I incurred a drip, from the air-conditioning blower unit shortly after turning it on. which caused structural damage and property damage. The unit had been opened by one of their techs and this he did not return it to the same position. I'm very un happy about the structural damage, all the extra work and cost, but I cannot stomach the loss of the photographs. The company required I pay for the service to repair the problem or they would cancel my warranty. There was no talking sense with them as the technician blame the office and vice a versa. It was pay it or lose the warranty, not a nice threat. Not good customer services. read more

My husband and I would highly recommend Integrity Heating & Cooling. After getting one of their flyers in the mail, we decided to give them a try since their guarantee was better than the company we were previously using to "clean" our furnace and A/C. It turns out we had several small holes in our furnace, which were never pointed out to us by the company we had used to service our furnace and A/C for the past 9 years. The guy who came to our home from Integrity to do the furnace "cleaning" (Jeff) was very knowledgeable and thorough in his job! He's the one that discovered these holes. We ended up purchasing a new furnace and A/C unit from Integrity, at a very fair price (we feel), and the 2 guys that came to do the install were friendly, quick to do the setup, and they cleaned up the mess. read more

Installation of a new a/c a year ago. That seemed to go great until this year I saw I was charged for a membership fee. I remembered vaguely the final sales guy saying for me to finish everything I had to sign for the free year of services and could cancel anytime. Again vaguely remember this but told him I didn't want to sign it if I had to renew and assured me it could be cancelled. I didn't read the fine print that said I had to do written cancellation within 60 days. They charged me 30 days before renewal. I called and spoke to Bridget who was argumentative and would not even hear of a refund for a membership I had not even used yet. I told her I didn't think it was fair pricing and recalled bringing concerns up about this at the time of delivery. She refused. While it's one thing to tell a customer sorry you bought this and used this we can't refund - it's another to refuse to refund something that hasn't been used and hasn't even started (not active till 7/22). This honestly tells me they are completely distrustful. I had a good experience with their techs but Bridget made it clear she was unwilling to help. I asked to escalate to a manager or someone else and she refused stating she was the director of the division. I expect a professional to help me and find a way to resolve a conflict even if I'm angry in the moment - instead we argued and it ended and me feeling like I hate this company when in fact I disliked the customer service. Don't trust this company. They have good prices but they'll try to hack out a fake membership they make you sign when you're signing everything else's that isn't even a good deal for the market. $300 for a yearly inspection is insane. WARNING!!!! Terrible terrible service. I have a home warranty. Jason came out and diagnosed the problem telling us there was a significant leak in the coil and that he would send it to our warranty company. Fast forward 13 days later and we are still fighting with Integrity! The warranty company says that Integrity has not sent in the Dx. Integrity says they have (but now they are changing their tune and saying that they actually never did a leak detection and we have to pay $302 to have one done even though he showed my husband exactly where the leak is). We received the "non-warranty" quote via email right away for the cost of the fix. I keep getting told that they will have the warranty manager call me but he NEVER has called even one time. I have made well over 15 phone calls to each the warranty co and Integrity and they are impossible to work with. I have at this point requested a new AC company to work with. These guys are a joke. Service tech came back out and left not correctly fixing problem. Called the owner who dodged me several day. Finally spoked to him. I was having an intermittent problem with a household furnace. It failed without working again so I called for service. The tech arrived earlier than promised (highly appreciated) but when we examined the furnace, we found that it was operational again. The technician provided a diagnosis and proposed a minimal solution and when asked, suggested a more thorough, far-reaching albeit more expensive solution -- not just replacing the flame sensor, but the entire ignition unit. But the more comprehensive solution was not presented with Fear/Uncertainty/Doubt. I have a new primary vendor for HVAC. read more

In December of 2017, I called Integrity Heating and Cooling out for a burning smell coming thru my vents. The tech that came out explained the booster motor was dying and it was going to be about 500.00 to replace. Since the part was not necessary, he also said he could disconnect the part and I would still have a working furnace. In January my heat stopped functioning altogether. I again called Integrity Heating and Cooling and they came out once more. They said this time, my 20 some year old furnace was on it's last leg. It could be repaired but the price to repair would only be a bandaid on a bigger issue. I agreed and had them install a new furnace that same day. It is now April and I just had to call Integrity Heating and Cooling out yet again. I began having the same burning smell as I did in December. I called the number and spoke with someone on a Saturday. She explained that there would be a emergency charge if someone were to come out the same day as the call. I was also told this was the weekend, and that's off time for the repairmen/women. (Considering I would again have to take off work, I fully understood this) She continued to explain I would get a call in the morning and a time a repairman could come out. I've explained that it's difficult to get ahold of me in the morning because of work. I provided my roommates cell number and name and asked to deal with her. The next morning rolls around and I get two calls and voicemails from Integrity Heating and Cooling. I then needed to get someone to cover my position so I may return the call. When I called back I spoke with Sandra. Sandra explained that she's been trying to reach me several times and I did not answer. I explained my roommate should get the call and I am at work. I explained the burning smell coming out of the vents and told Sandra this has been a problem since December of 2017. I also alerted her of the new furnace and the warranty that came with it. Sandra explained that I would still need to pay 100.00 to have someone come out. Frustrated I asked what was the point of buying a new furnace and getting a warranty on parts and labor if I'd still need to continue to pay for the same issues. She did not have an answer for me. She continued to apologize for bothering me, and she said she'd look into the issue. I gave her permission to send out the repair man and that was that. The repair man explained that the installers of the furnace (Integrity Heating and Cooling) hooked up the old booster motor to the new furnace. The repair man said apparently no one read the notes he provided back in December when he came out and disconnected the motor. He also explained how the person who Sandra spoke with in the morning was not very nice. (I found that to be totally disrespectful of a company to complain about a paying customer. Esp. one who was dealing with the fault of the company) He said since the mistake was Integrity Heating and Cooling there would be no charge. He went on to say that the smell should stop and we shouldn't have any more issues. He asked that we let a week or so go by with ventilation and windows open. We did so. A week later we still had the smell. Both myself and my roommate had terrible headaches from dealing with the odor. My roommate began to have trouble with her asthma and was getting sick as a result. She was worried about carbon monoxide and if the furnace was even working properly. She called out the fire dept who did a whole house check. Thankfully we did not have a carbon monoxide leak. The fire chief did explain due to the booster motor dying off and the installation of the new furnace, we would now need to spend another 500.00 or so to get a ventilation system cleaned. This is currently where we stand. I will not use Integrity Heating and Cooling again if it is not warranty related. They are rude, unprofessional, and do poor work. I don't normally leave reviews, but felt compelled after the service, or should I say, lack thereof we had with Integrity H&C. I would offer great caution to all before using this company. We requested service for our steam boiler on 12/30. The boiler was leaking some water from the 2 of the bubblers and was giving off limited heat to many of the radiators in the house. I was given Integrity on a referral from a Chicago company that was unable to service us over the holiday weekend. I was happy to hear how quickly they were able to come out to look at the unit. They informed me it would be a $149 to complete a diagnostic and would take anywhere from 1-3hrs to complete the diagnostic and either fix the problem or provide recommendations on next steps. Dennis V. was assigned and showed up a few hours later. He scanned the boiler quickly and informed me that it would need replaced with a new one that it had a crack in the exchanger. Mind you, he did not inspect or review ANY details or components of the boiler. He was merely basing it on the water dripping from the bubblers. He did NOT inspect any part of the boiler or radiators. He was in and out in well under an hour and informed me that a quote for a new boiler would be sent over later that day. We ended up calling another company for a second opinion, as Dennis didnt seem very knowledgeable in boilers. This 2nd company was also able to come out that same day, and immediately looked at the gauge and noticed that boiler unit was flooded. There was too much water in the system and needed drained. He drained it and within 10 minutes we were back in business. The unit has never sounded better! I have called Integrity 4x's asking to speak to a manager and have NEVER received a return call OR the quote that we were supposed to receive. Very much a scam business. Save yourself the money and frustration and go with someone more legit and knowledgeable. read more

Who in their right mind would pay 299.00 for them to come out and check my furnace. I only signed a machine telling his company that he was there and to pay for the extra part he had to replace. I've been putting off giving this poor review for some time now because Integrity gave me an excellent deal on new equipment, and I do like the technicians that work for them...when I can convince them to send someone out. Here's my story: A few years back in the Fall we called Integrity for a new furnace and air conditioning combo (American Standard - with manufacturer's warranty), and got a good price on a new hot water heater too. The friendly workers installed everything in one day and all was good until the following Spring. There was an early heat wave that year with the temperatures expected to be in the 90s by Mother's Day. So on a day before it started getting hot, I figured I'd turn on the air conditioning to get the house comfortable. Nothing happened. No cold air, no cool air, nothing. I called Integrity to let them know that my brand-new, never-used AC was not working. They said they could not help me. They were too busy with "air conditioning emergencies." Now then... Personally, I don't believe there's such a thing as an "air conditioning emergency" unless the machine is on fire. However, if they do exist I should think that a brand-new, never-used unit that won't work in 90+ degree weather would qualify as one. Sometime after an uncomfortable weekend with the elderly, a technician came out and discovered that there was no coolant in the system. Whether that was due to a leak or because none was ever put in to begin with was unknown as there was no record one way or the other. Okay, whatever, we're good to go now, right? Spring weather evened out and Summer came. It seemed like the AC was working a lot and not cooling much. Another call to Integrity...some wrangling on getting a service appointment. Another guy comes out and discovers that I'm low on coolant, but can find no leak. Fills coolant in the barely-used, new air conditioner. Shortly afterwards I notice some kind of thin oil all over the interior part of the unit inside the house - that is what's known as a leak (I learned that the oil is what the Freon is mixed with). Another call...more wrangling. A technician is eventually sent out and he successfully finds and stops the leak. Fast forward to this Spring. I was interested in getting a new thermostat (or moving the existing one). Called Integrity. Am told that someone will get back to me. Called the next week. Am told that someone will get back to me. Called after another week or so....well, you get the picture. No one ever did contact me about the thermostat, *but* they did send a letter to let me know that my Service Contract(?) was expiring, and that I could give them a bunch of money to renew it. They also implied that if anyone but Integrity worked on my equipment it would void the warranty (well, I don't believe any of that). So my association with Integrity comes to an end. By the way, I did get another company to install a new thermostat for me and am quite pleased. I won't mention the name here, but you can find this company in one of my other reviews if you like. read more

It took 24 hours for anyone to return the call--after I called a second time, then the guy wanted to talk me through the issue. when I ask what is the "guarantee", no one had an answer!!! example: Pizza-30 min delivery or free. "2 hour response time guaranteed"... um, what? service call free? No. nothing. Also the membership offers 50% off of furnace or A/C-- here's the trick; they DOUBLED the price of the furnace to document the 50% off. Nice. I was distracted, and cold, so shame on me. We have a 4 year old AC unit that was installed by Integrity back in 2015. Last summer it wasn't blowing cold air. Had a repair man come out and determined that the freon had leaked out. Presently, we are experiencing the same problem. This time we called Integrity because we couldn't understand why a 4 year old unit was leaking freon ever year. Apparently the unit was not installed properly. Their rule for not standing by their product is that no other HVAC technicians are qualified. All they do is sabotage your unit! With their low rating of only 2 1/2 stars, they are in no position to judge other providers! Their charges for testing for leaks are OUTRAGEOUS! We are in the home building/renovating business and will never use this company! read more

After my last posting, I found out that the AC unit Integrity installed in our home was 2 years old! I found this out when I contacted American Standard about my product registration. Their records show that our unit was delivered to a "residence" on March 27, 2013. I told them that the unit was not delivered and installed in our home until January 13, 2015. As a result we lost 2 years of our warranty! No one seems to know what Integrity did with that unit for those 2 years! We are hoping that American Standard will extend our warranty to January 13, 2020. Another reason not to use this company for your HVAC needs! read more

So received an invoice today for a service they did not perform well. The limit switch which they said was failed due to a filter that was clogged-i could see light through it-was warranted by American standard. So these rip off artists think I'm paying this crap,huh. I reached out to these people several times and no response but they have the time to write this letter and mail it. They must really think folks are going to pay this. $79 diagnosis which was incorrect. $160 to install switch which took 5 mins or less. What a joke. Worse than car dealers and service is worse. What a joke of a company. I tried to be civil with these people but that time is over. To top this all off they say if I don't pay my warranty will be invalid. This is my first yelp review and I have to say I should've done this a few years ago. I give this company zero stars. When we purchased our new furnace from them they assured us that the sizing was such that we could add an addition and still ensure proper sizing. They also talked us into getting A new air conditioner. The air-conditioner has broken down EVERY YEAR since purchased new in 2012 and they sold us a smaller furnace than they promised! We just returned home from vacation to find out A/C out again. They told us they could get to us In 7 days. Rude, and no integrity! I responded to a postcard that I received in the mail. I was told they are no longer accepting the coupons from the postcard and informed that they expired at the end of May. I received it around June 21st and contacted them the next day. I was told that they would finally accept the coupon, and that she was misinformed. The coupon she was told about was different than the one I received in the mail. However, I would need to pay an additional $79 for a diagnostics with the cleaning. The " Precision Tune-Up", as the coupon states includes: monitoring pressures, measures for correct airflow, tighten connections, measure volts/amps, clean condenser coil, inspect inside cleaning coil, check condensate drains, check freon level, clean air conditioner, and remove debris. The representative assured me that the tune-up only included a cleaning, and to get the rest it would be an additional $79. She put me on hold for 7 minutes and 39 seconds before I hung up and called back. I was then on hold for another 5 minutes before I hung up again and called back. She was then rude to me, cut me off while speaking and told me that hanging up and calling back will not get me to speak with her any sooner and I should just stay on hold. This was with a raised voice while she talked over me while I was speaking. I repeated what I was saying when she talked over me. I was asking that she take my number and call me back or let me know that the manager is busy with another customer and it would be a few more minutes. Rudely, she responds: well then let me take your number and have her call you back. When the manager calls back there is an apology for the wait. I tell her what happened and that I no longer have any desire to have their company do any service for me as a result of the rudeness and lack of concern for how I was just treated. Her response, "Well if we can be of any service in the future just give us a call" Really? Don't waste your time with them read more

We called them on 12/14, they came out, charged us $99 for inspection and boiler estimate then disappeared. we have called them everyday for the last 5 days and no one will return our call with an estimate or even a scheduled time of repair. Very bad experience with this company regarding maintenance agreement. I was automatically charged for maintenance contract for the following year well ahead of existing service contract period expiration date (5/31/2020). I called the company and they refused accept my cancellation request. With this virus and business climate and jobs in jeopardy, this company is extorting people. Shameful. I told him right of the bat it may be a difficult job as I was not sure my line sets were good & he may have to run all new ones. I was quoted a price with & without new lines Come install time, the guys get here, act like they had no clue about the new lines there's no place for electric (despite showing it to them), & that it was going to be impossible to do. After speaking with a manager & my sales rep (who yelled at me that his job was on the line because of me) they said they didn't want my business anymore because they did not want to deal with the difficult job. Had them come out for a cleaning. A man comes looks at my heater for five min and tells me I need a new heater, it's too big for my house and it will over heat. He tells me it won't last over the winter and my family will be cold because it can stop working at any point. He insist for 30 min I by a new heater. By the way my heater isn't two years old. When he couldn't sell me a heater he then charges me 215 dollars for a part that cost $12. Insisting that I need it. I was so glad he left. Called the call center to complain. New air conditioning and heating was installed on 3/16/15. The air conditioning went out 3&1/2 months later on Saturday, 8/1/15, in the middle of a heat wave. I'm reading directly from the Integrity website, "Need a repair or service call? We have a truck in your neighborhood. Call us now! 708.389.3327. Fast response time! Emergency Service! Call now! 24 hour HVAC Service Guarantee: we will respond to your call and repair your heating or cooling problem within 24 hours, or we will put you in a hotel for the night." Since everything was under warrantee. I anticipated no problems. I called the number given, and got an answering service. The service stated that they would text the repair technician on duty. I waited an hour and called again. I got the same response. An hour later I called again. This time I also stated that there was an elderly person in the house who would have to be moved if the air conditioning was not repaired soon. The answering service stated that they did not know why the technician was not responding, however they would text all of the information again. An hour later I still had no response. I called the answering service a 4th time and again stated I had an elderly person in the house. The service stated that they would call a manager at home. Five hours after I made my first call, the manager (Laura P.) called me. My first question for her was about the delay in responding. Her answer was, "The office is closed on weekends." I asked about the 24 hour statement on the website. Her answer was that they do "take" messages 24/7. I asked when my calls would have been returned if I had not pestered the answering service. Her answer was "Monday 8/3," which was 48 hours later. I asked when a repairman could come out, and was told "Tuesday, 8/4," 72 hours later. At that point I became very angry. I said that the website was deceptive, and they were being insensitive to the older person in my home. The manager stated she was not told by the answering service that there was a senior citizen in the house. The answering service said they did. The manager said that in view of that fact, a technician would be out the following day. The next day, Sunday 8/2 at 1:00 PM a very nice, polite and apologetic technician arrived. An hour and a half later the air conditioning was working fine. The service order stated, "Found unit low on R-410A. Charged 8 ounces of R-410A." I asked what that meant. The technician stated the air conditioner had been improperly charged when it was installed. He also stated that he was the technician on duty the previous day, and had never received any of the text messages from the answering service. I have no idea who or what to believe. read more

I hired Integrity Heating and Cooling to replace the old heating system in my home and to install central air conditioning. In addition to the heating and air conditioning, the contract included roto brush cleaning of all the ducts in my home. When the technician/installer arrived, I was told that the machine that was to be used to clean the ducts was not rotating and that they would have to come back. They never returned to provide the duct cleaning but instead offered an additional annual inspection of the unit. Then, when the installation of the heating unit began, I noticed that the technician installed the unit in such a way that it covered the existing floor drain hole that allowed condensate to drain out of my home through the existing plumbing system. When I inquired about this, he indicated that he would be running a new line directly outside. I stated that running a condensate/water line outside will freeze. He gave me some mumble jumble in an effort to explain that the condensate line would not freeze. After the installation was completed, and the workers left, the line had frozen within an hour's time from the outside cold just as I suspected. I called the company and explained the problem. They sent another technician out who agreed with me that is was a bad idea to run a condensate line as was done. To remedy the problem, the technician drilled a hole in my wall and ran an unsightly line from the heating unit to my laundry room sink for drainage. Most recently, I called Integrity Heating to schedule the annual inspection. The person I spoke to explained that they were an answering service and that he would have someone contact me. After a week or so I did not receive a call, I again called and left a message on their answering machine. Weeks have gone by, my unit is overdue for the annual inspection. Very Strange company. I was referred to this company by two people. I called them to come and give me an estimate on a heating system as we were thinking about a new boiler. They came out promptly and said it would take a week to get back to me, but then I never got the estimate. NOTHING. I called every few days, and spoke to their sales department and was assured that the person who does estimates was working on it. I heard this multiple times. No one ever followed up even though they said they would call. In the meantime, I had two other companies give me an estimate for the job. I can only imagine what kind of work they do and how careful they are when they can't even manage a courtesy call back. A boiler is too expensive a purchase to have doubts about the company that is installing it. read more
