Cute spot. Places to sit with your drink. A pet peeve is when I order a drink and the cup is not full. Look at the taller matcha. I ordered light ice but it was full of ice. Interlude was good but I would go elsewhere next time.

I've been to Interlude a few times, and it definitely grew on me once I figured out how to order. At first, I kept getting matchas that were too milky--turns out, the large size just means more milk, not more milk and more matcha. The trick is to order extra shots if you like it strong. Once I did that, everything started hitting just right. I also tried the chai with a shot of matcha, surprisingly well balanced and really well done. Their pastries and baked goods are fantastic, some of the best I've had in the city. The staff is nice, and the ambiance is calm and thoughtfully designed. My main complaint is the price--it's definitely on the higher end. Still, I'd go back for a treat-yourself kind of day.

Unfortunately I have to try everything from Tiktok. Staff is really kind. The cafe itself is very cute. I got a vanilla matcha - it tasted like a nutriment but it was good. Will be back to try their coffee!

Stopped by here after a brunch and was definitely impressed! I ordered a regular vanilla latte and loved it- the espresso had a unique flavor (in a good way). My friend ordered an iced vanilla latte and I thought it was a little sweet. They do make homemade vanilla, so I would probably order it half sweet.

Coffee here is good but expensive!! I know all coffee is expensive nowadays but my LORD this large vanilla latte with oat milk was $9 after tax!!! The coffee was good but the vanilla was not worth an extra $1, I could barely taste it, and overall not worth $9. They have a lot of good looking pastry options and there is a bit of seating inside and outside.

I came here to grab a coffee at 9am on a Saturday. There was a short line, and a few seats were open. I had a cortado; without tip, it came to a little over $5. While it wasn't as hot as I'd prefer, the flavor and texture were great. They also have some pastries, but they all looked a bit lackluster. Honestly, this seems to be a great spot if you like matcha! There seemed to be a few different types on the menu. They also sell cute pantry items (ex.: chocolate, bags of coffee, etc.).

I always enjoy getting drinks at interlude if I'm in the area. The matcha is always good here and I love their matcha tonic. I decided to try their chai latte which I enjoyed a lot too. It's not too sweet and has a good amount of chai flavor. I love how they use big ice cubes so it doesn't dilute the drink too quick. My friend got the matcha and it's very smooth and not bitter. It has a nice earthy flavor without feeling too much. The people who work here are always friendly when I stop by even though not very often. I tried their madeleine and honey butter scone before and both were delicious, especially the scone. I definitely want to come back and try other pastries out.

The place gets busy even after the morning coffee rush. Very crisp and simple exterior. The menu on the board is very bare, but there's a more detailed menu in front of the cashier. Got a 12oz iced latte. There was a significant amount of ice, but strangely it didn't water the drink down too much. The coffee is strong, a great caffeine boost for the day. The sesame banana loaf had such a prominent banana smell, but the taste was lacking. Not much sesame flavor either. The coffee is a tad bit more expensive than already too expensive NY coffee.

Really cute interior, but as a frequent matcha drinker I was a bit disappointed (was really really small, watered down, and overall not super worth it). I'd def recommend for the vibes (cute and sunny!) but not for the actual drinks, you can get much more bang for your buck elsewhere.

Came here to find a space to do remote work & got a matcha tonic. I'd say it's one of the better matchas I've had in the city (but that's also because most matchas I order are overly bitter). Great place to work, though it is a tiny space. If I'm ever around the region, I would return to try their coffee.

I love Interlude. It has my heart. It brings me joy. There are of course so many coffee shops in the city, so I am beyond pleased I stumbled into interlude one day. And then I just kept coming back. It's unassuming, minimal, clean, quiet, light, airy. The people are friendly. Everything is good. My husband really enjoys the coffee. I can't bring myself to order the coffee because I'm obsessed with the matcha. I also buy matcha from here to make at home. Ok, we also became slightly addicted to the rice krispy treats...seriously what is in those things? They are so good, the marshmallow is all toasty and they're giant and delicious. The sad part of the story is that we moved out of the city late 2019 and thought we'd miss Interlude forever. The silver lining of Covid was that Interlude was amazing and shipped their goodies. The parcels were packaged perfectly and always with a lovely handwritten note. Seriously. The best. Thanks for being you, Interlude.

Interlude has been my go to coffee shop to start my morning or afternoon off! The coffee here is really delicious and most importantly, consistent. I find that some coffee shops and their coffee can be at times very inconsistent but here at Interlude, it's always been on point. Also, there in house baked pastries are a must try. I highly recommend the funfetti cookie and honey butter scone. Every time I stop by to pick up a coffee, I honestly can't resist picking up one of their baked goods. The siblings that run this coffee shop are so cordial and so kind. You can definitely feel their love and commitment to the high quality of service, experience, and taste. I love that I could support local neighborhood shops like Interlude and knowing that these two really care for their customers. I recommend coming here for your next cup of coffee or just checking out this beautiful space. read more

i'm rarely in this area but i chanced upon this spot and it's amazing!! i was searching for a coffee shop with wifi around where i was for the day, and this was perfect. there's ample room for sitting and enjoying a latte. the interiors are clean minimalist and peaceful the staff is super friendly and the coffee was delish :) they also have outlets and a bathroom would 10/10 recommend read more

I was thrilled when I heard through the grapevine that this place had opened, because I literally work next door and generally have limited free time to grab a coffee or a bite to eat. Much to my delight, I have found this place to be much more than a subjectively convenient location. The owners/baristas are welcoming, friendly, and pleasant to talk to. The coffee is excellent (I'm partial to the hot mocha but everything I've had here is legit, including the iced coffee.) Their savory scones are, no joke, my new go-to's. I tried their cheddar onion scone this morning and I swear I have finally found my spirit pastry. So stop on by and give this place some love. It's one of those rare NYC spots that's the whole package and I want it to stick around for awhile! read more

Extremely clean coffee and tea place. Nice people, very friendly, much quieter cleaner and charming than Starbucks. Artesanal Chinese teas and large clean bathroom. Kid friendly. Good place to read or study. Music calming subdued and relaxing atmosphere compared to the chains. read more

Wowow first time here and I can't wait to go back! Got an iced matcha and 2 scones - the Gruyère onion and the honey butter. They were both so amazing I've never had a scone that even comes close to how good those were. The matcha was great too! Would've attached photos but I ate them too fast. read more

This is an outstanding establishment. I'm not aware of any other coffee shop in New York that serves George Howell coffee. George Howell of Boston is a mover and shaker in elevating the specialty coffee category. If you want to spend $32 on 8 ounces of exquisite coffee beans, hurry on down. read more

First time here and loved it. Their malted chocolate chip cookie was delicious- soft, chewy, chocolatey. I also enjoyed a cup of hot latte. Service was great. I love the interior design, simple and modern. If you're nearby, definitely go check it out. read more

The staff is so friendly! Usually I would never comment on that but they are just so friendly. The baked goods are so delicious. You must try the honey scone!! And the coffee is amazing. I'm so glad my love for caffeine has led me to Interlude! This place is an absolute gem. I usually order my go to which is an Iced Cortado with Oat Milk. Their ice cubes are fairly large which in my opinion makes up the perfect iced coffee without the overwhelming amounts of ice. The staff are SUPER friendly and always consistent every time i stop it (which is often). The baked goodies are homemade and equally delicious! Don't hesitate on stopping in, you wont regret it. read more

The drip and latte were really good and the barista was nice, great atmosphere! The inside was pretty spacious for a place in NYC - I'm not personally a fan of patrons bringing their dogs inside but there were a few here so heads up. read more

No matter what I've sampled (coffee, iced coffee, pastries), it's been clear that a lot of care went into making it great. Best coffee and tea in NYC! Not to mention that Melody, Josh, Seara, and the rest of the staff are all amazing. They are super friendly and consistently provide the best customer service. Oh and all of their pastries are delicious and made right there in house. 100% recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood and if you're not, it's a good enough reason to make the trek! read more

One of my most favorite coffee shops in the city. A must visit for those traveling to the nearby neighborhoods. Their selection of teas is fantastic, and properly steeped(no soggy tea bags floating in your cup here), every espresso and coffee drink is made precisely, but the real star of the shop is the variety of baked goods made by the owners, fresh daily. There are savory scones, sweet scones, cookies, a muffin, a sweet bread. Not too many options, but everything made exceedingly well. The flavor combinations are also fantastic and special. It's not just a blueberry muffin, it's a blueberry MAPLE muffin, the savory scones are twists on a French onion soup flair profile, the Rice Krispie treats are toasted first, and the cookies are classic childhood favorites elevated to adult tastes( like malted chocolate chip cookies, and cream cheese funfetti). Expect to spend a little more than your average bake shop, but leave happy with your decision to do so. read more

The perfect spot to make a quick stop for a hot mocha and a fresh slice of banana bread! Don't be surprised if you see a line, just know it's well worth it. It's quite small though, so when it gets busy, it won't be quiet. But the business seems to come in waves, so it's not packed and loud all the time. read more

Everything at this cafe was absolutely delicious. You can really tell that they put time and effort into every item on their menu. We had their truffle cheese toasted nori scone and it was amazing. I've never tried anything like it and I would recommend to anyone. Their cookies were really good as well. read more

Good coffee but extremely overpriced. How they can get away with charging so much for coffee when there are so many other coffee shops with good coffee and MUCH better prices is beyond me. Only in Tribeca . read more

Oh Interlude... I'm so thankful I followed my curiosity into this place. Ever since then, it's been my go-to coffee shop. I've brought all my friends and relatives here and every single one of them loveeeee it! All the staff is so friendly--it's like Trader Joe's but a coffee shop version. I love their coffee and how friendly they are with their customers. The decor is minimalistic and cool with a good use of space for people to sit. My favorites drinks are iced oat milk lattes, iced chai with oat milk, and iced lattes. They bake their treats in house--my favorites being the confetti cookie, malted chocolate chip cookie, and honey butter scone. Also the name is so fitting. The way I perceive it is: the definition of "interlude" is an intervening period of time; a pause between acts of a play. I look at the name pertaining to a play, our busy lives being the play, we go about our day and decide when we want to "take our interlude." Anyway, I just appreciate the thought behind the name. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.
