Avoid Interstate Battery at all costs. I bought a battery from them 4 months ago, and it's already dead. When I brought it back, they flat-out refused to honor their warranty. A battery failing in 4 months is obviously defective, but instead of standing behind their product, they made excuses and wouldn't replace it. So apparently their "warranty" is just something they say to get your money -- don't expect them to actually back it up. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that stands behind what they sell. I went there for warranty work ion a battery I bought there. Neil the manager likes to play games with the customer.You ask him when the warranty expires and he says x months but won't tell you the month because he says it isn't a math class. He tried to give me a lower class battery until I questioned him about it and said oh he got the wrong battery. I asked him why wasn't the battery holding charge and he said I should know because I was the one using the battery. I had to ask him for paperwork on my battery after it was already in my vehicle and he said he was getting to it. He thinks he needs to keep the upper hand on the interaction. Sold me a bad battery, my car dies after leaving luckily a good samaritan gave me a jump to drive back up there to get a replacement. They wouldn't even give me the decency to use their phone since mine was dead considering I was just given a bad battery. Horrible experience. read more

Been coming here as long as I can remember. Stopped in today, guy checked the battery said I needed a new one, but for the first time in over 15 years, now they decide they can't install them anymore. I think the old fart was just lazy. If you ever need a replacement battery, in particular, a lead acid battery, you should come here and check it out. They have any battery you would ever need. I have gone in the past and the battery they crossed to the original battery just barely didn't match the dimensions of the original battery and I couldn't close the housing. I ended up returning the battery. This time I bought a battery that size didn't matter. The original battery was a 12V 5A battery. I walk in and I go up to the shelves and begin to pick up the battery that matches the size and the guy behind the counter starts saying, "Leave that one there. Leave that one there!" I think to myself, "but this is the one I want to buy...." He finally says, "Those are display and have been there for months. Here's a fresh one." OH. okay. why didn't you say so? The replacement battery was a similiar sized battery, but I didn't actually measure it to check. It was 12V but only 4.5A instead. Not that big of a deal, but I would have preferred a higher capacity. My application had very little constraints on the dimension tolerances, so close enough was just fine. I could have gone with a larger battery but I didn't want to deal with researching a battery that would fit. I'm sure Interstate could have helped me find one that would have worked. They also sell automotive batteries! Check this place out! read more

Interstate makes a very good battery and it took almost no time at all for the man working there to determine which battery I needed and then install it. No wait!
