Came in to see if they carry a large bail for a chain. Was told no, will have to make…read more Paid for new $280.00 bail. Received a call that all work was done, to come pick it up. Linda presents polished necklace and cross with new, so-called bail. I told her I don't think the money has been taken out of my account. I stand there and check. It has indeed been taken, plus tax. Linda wishes me luck and says see you soon. I ask Linda where my original bail is. Linda says, "I don't know, it's not here." Normally the jeweler returns original pieces. I ask, can you call to see where original bail is? Since it is and was paid for separately from the necklace and pendant, one hundred dollars. Linda replies, no, I cannot call him. It is his day off. He is with his family. I ask for the manager or owner, Gemma. She said, no, I'm sorry, she is not in today. I ask Linda for a receipt for my lost bail. Linda writes me on a Post-it that I am looking for a missing bail. She assures me that we will find it and it will be returned, not to worry. I said okay, and I walked to my truck, her saying goodbye. Got to my truck to check out the new bail, because Linda had put it on without me really getting a chance to look at it off the chain. Come to find out, compared to pictures I had previously of this bail, that this bail was indeed the same exact bail I had turned in -- stretched out, worked-over metal, and polished only on the outside. I walk back in to talk to Linda and to tell her what I had found. She claimed she only works there. She has no idea what's going on. And that if she could keep the necklace to show the jeweler what was going on, we'll get this sorted out. I told her I would not like to pay for a brand new bail, new silver and new working, if all you did was stretch my original bail and slightly polish it. Linda agreed with me that that was unfair. I told her I don't believe you guys are trying to mess with me, and this was a misunderstanding, and that we would get that figured out today. Next day, receive calls from Linda stating that it was a mix-up and that I would have the new one in a week. And it was just complimentary that they would make the original one I brought in work. Which, by the way, is what I asked for in the first place. I go down there, Linda lies to my face, insults me. Also admitted that if I didn't notice, she would have gotten away with this fraudulent sale. I have been buying jewelry from them for about 15 years. I will need to find a new small business jeweler. I do not trust that business, Gemma's Jeweler, anymore. They tried to hustle me. I got a full refund after back and forth three times. Do not recommend!
