Ioli's is our go-to spot for pizza in the valley--my boyfriend always mentions it first when the craving hits! The Thai chicken pizza is unbeatable. Even when I'm not in the mood for pizza, their Alfredo (no chicken for me) is always a satisfying option. The portions are generous, the food is consistently great, and it's never too busy. A solid local gem!

Where's the toppings? Medium pizza with 3 little pieces of sausage on each slice. You couldn't even cover the pizza with olives? Really? So so, this place used to be really good.

I love the pizza from this place. The dough is always cooked just right, and the flavors are bold without being overpowering. Each slice is packed with flavor, making it hard to stop at just one. This is definitely a must-visit spot for pizza lovers

HUGE & great pizza!! Iolis' Pizzeria has been one of my family's favorite spot to eat in the past decade. Overall, they have consistently offered great service, and been very friendly. The pizza is my favorite part. The crunch to the crust is just perfect, and is topped off with rich tomato sauce and delicious toppings. They offer a variety of pizza combinations, and other items on their menu. On this occasion, my family came out to eat dinner, and I decided to order a calzone. The only reason I am rating it a 4/5, is because I found out that there was too much tomato sauce in my calzone compared to other filling ratio. I found just a few pepperonis along with other veggies inside my calzone. Perhaps maybe next time, I will skip the calzone, and go straight to ordering a big slice of their traditional pepperoni pizza, or Hawaiian. You could never go wrong with those two options. They also offer seating inside and outside, which is great if you want to have a sit down meal. The environment is definitely on the casual side, and can sometimes get loud, as you may find other families dining there as well.

Their pizza is delicious!! We were staying at Carmel valley ranch and this was so convenient and SO good. We went here twice and got the margherita pizza. Their sizes are larger than other pizza spots I've been to which is another plus!

Leo and Arian were great..Great price! Good pizza. Love this lunch. Listening to Luke Bryan, too!

Leo and Arian are wonderful.. Good pizza..Can't find this value very many places. Luke Bryan playing ! Love this place. Good friends.

This is the whole pie before I devoured it.

It's been a while since we have been here being from Modesto. The Pizza is perfectly done and NOT greasy. The people who work there are very nice and friendly. We will make it a go to. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and Pizza. It's a small place but very friendly.

Delicious pizza! Love the thin crust, the atmosphere, literally a hidden gem in the beautiful Carmel area. We got the pepperoni thin crust pizza with jalapeños and it was amazing. The sauce is robust, flavorful with a hint of spice which I love. Will be back!

The BBQ pizza, fresh out of the oven, is quite delicious. A great tip to be ultra healthy, order yourself a greek salad too and you won't eat as much pizza :P

Tacos on Wednesdays? Seems like a missed opportunity here...

This is THE pizza joint of Carmel Valley as we saw a multitude of folks swinging by to grab their pie. It sits in the Safeway shopping center near the laundromat. Great place to kill some time while doing a load! There is a Tv on inside with the game playing if you want to have your beer at the bar while you're waiting for food During COVID you can't eat inside but there was ample outdoor seating on walkway amidst flowers. The crew inside was quite friendly and helpful in making our selection. Here's our review of the food: Iced tea - 8/10 Very light on the tea flavor but has a nice tropical flavor. Free refills means I will be taking a few of these down! Bruschetta - 10/10 Beautiful light crunch on the bread with a LOAD of garlic amongst the tomatoes. It had the best balance of olive oil, salt, tomato and Parmesan over the fresh bread. So tasty!!! New York New York Pizza - 8/10 Thin crust with a sweet tomato heavy pizza sauce. There was a great variety of meats with different flavor profiles that made each bite unique. I prefer a bit more zest to my sauce and the cheese could have been more memorable but this was a tasty pie no doubt. All said and done, don't hesitate to grab a pizza from here as it represents Carmel Valley well. Good ingredients, great ambiance, and a menu to please all makes this a great stop. I think I have to come back on Fridto see what that French Dip is all about!

Great for kids. We got a gigantic pizza and spaghetti with meatballs and the kids ate it up. We ate it up too but such a win to be able to just eat. Super delicious.

My friend and I made a dinner reservation a couple weeks in advance, and it wasn't too crowded on Mother's Day weekend! Rucolina ($18): Salad to share, perfect amount for 2. Arugula, beets, Gorgonzola, candied walnuts are a classic combo and we polished it. Linguine Alla Pescatora ($45): I thought it was so funny two girls next to us ordered this to share, but my friend ate it all by herself LOL. A huge dish of seafood, they don't skimp! I tried a mussel and the sauce was excellent. Gnocchi (small $22, large $44): I was hesitant about ordering gnocchi because I never like the gnocchi I've ordered at other Italian restaurants. Never thought me a gnocchi snob, but here I am. But other reviews raved about Il Tegamino's gnocchi (our waitress included) so I did it. Ok fine it's the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft, straight out of the oven, still sizzling and bubbling when it was placed in front of me. It was cheesy and potatoey without either flavor overpowering the other, and the mushroom truffle sauce is IT. It needs the sauce. I ordered the large and had leftovers to share with my mom, but you bet I could've finished it. I would come back just for this! We picked this place expecting it to be a treat and a bit of a splurge, so we expected the prices. Our server was lovely; my friend loves sweeter white wines but a Moscato wasn't on the menu. She disappeared into the kitchen and came back out with a heavy pour of Moscato and my friend loved it! I first thought it was bold of her to assume she'd want the full glass but she was right :)

With friends visiting from out of town and the desire to try a new place, I read recent reviews for…read moreIl Tegamino and was hoping for a better experience.... For starters, we had an appetizer truffle gnocchi, which was wonderful and a dish of olives with feta cheese, which was very good but missing something like bread or crackers. For a salad, we ordered two Piemontese (romaine) salads to split for three people. The quantity was good, but the lettuce was still defrosting, tasted a little frozen and was watery without flavor or crispiness romaine usually provides. When paying $40 for the two salads, I would usually expect fressher lettuce. For dinner, we had an order of Linguine Alla Pescatora (a seafood pasta with shrimp, scallops, mussles and clams), which contained good pasta noodles and seafood, but did not contain enough pasta and used a red sauce that I was not a fan of. A light white sauce or olive oil/white wine sauce would have been better combination. We also had an order of the Paccheri Al Ragu Napoletano (meat pasta, with large noodles, short rib and pork sausage). The pasta itself seemed good and was cooked well, the meat seemed to be cooked well, but the red sauce lacked flavor and the dish was overall underwhelming. For dessert, we had a tiramisu, which was a variation of the traditional recipe that included some chocolate and not really a tiramisu, but still tasted good. We also had a desert that included ice cream, biscotti and whipped cream with a shot of espresso over it. While it could have used some more ice cream, overall it was still very good; largely due to the fresh whipped cream. (Both deserts could have been a little bigger, even if it meant a bigger price tag.) Our server and busser were very attentive and friendly. The appetizers, deserts, service and outside ambiance saved the experience, but the barely edible salads and the boring entrees were not enough to make me want to revisit again.

Black Truffle Stuffed Gnocchi ($25): This dish was creamy and so delicious! The gnocchi was cooked perfectly, and the tomatoes gave it a fresh, nice touch. My only complaint is that the portion size is a bit on the smaller side. Sunday Gravy ($25): This dish included Italian sausage, spare ribs, beef, and pork, served with rigatoni pasta. I loved how meaty it was, yet it didn't feel heavy. Some pastas leave you feeling weighed down after eating, but not this one. The whole experience felt like a restaurant coasting on Carmel's tourist traffic rather than actually trying. I suspect this is a symptom of what's happened to Carmel post-COVID. They got high volume of tourists, small pool of service industry workers, and restaurants that know they can get away with overcharging for subpar food because people will come anyway. It's sad to see. Carmel used to be a place where you could count on quality. Little Napoli felt like a tourist trap that happens to be in a beautiful town.
