The restaurant is nice with a great atmosphere. The service was awesome. I was surprised at how good the food was. I'm pregnant I just wasn't expecting to like it but it was actually amazing. I had the grilled chicken and rice noodles. The flavors combined well, as well as the textures and the sauce was great. My partner got the drunken noodles and he said he loved them. We also both shared the steamed chicken dumplings as an appetizer and I swear im addicted now and it may be one of my new cravings which sucks because I can't go there everyday. This restaurant is perfect combination of sushi and Vietnamese food. I'm a sushi and Vietnamese food lover. Almost every other day, I usually come to this restaurant for sushi and spring rolls or pho. However, this is restaurant has been downgraded badly. Their sushi quality has been so bad for the last 3-4 weeks. Their salmon was stinky and spoiled. Their tuna has sour taste, strong smell chemical. I have tried many others, and they are all downgraded quality compared to before. However, their Vietnamese foods are staying the same quality and still wonderful. Since we moved here from Phoenix this is by far the best sushi I have had. My friend does not like seaweed and the Sushi Chef even accommodated her request for a sushi roll with no seaweed, he slightly modified the protein to help keep it together and it was simply amazing. Sneaky price scam on the buy one get one half sushi rolls. They cleverly have all their rolls priced 40-50% higher than average market value of the same rolls you would get anywhere else, and there's no quality justification for the higher price of these rolls. So here's how they get you, tap in: Average price for a spicy tuna roll at a sushi bar is $8-9 bucks anywhere else. They charge $14, but offer a second roll, for half off. The cheaper of the 2 rolls gets the price break. But for ease let's just say you want just wanted one spicy tuna roll but because of the deal, you say why not I'll get a second spicy tuna roll for half off. $14+7=21, that brings the price average to each roll to $10.50 per roll, but essentially you only wanted one, they bait and switch you into getting two, doubling your spend essentially. (Going off market value). The higher priced basic rolls and fancy rolls essentially justified the half off side for the business, the customer loses here. And for that I think it's shady. Also they are kind of rude here, and essentially I decided that any place that tries to do Thai, Vietnamese, and sushi under one roof essentially aren't good before they are trying to do too much. read more

So happy I decided to give this place a try, what a great addition to knightdale. Of course I had to start with an appetizer so I went with the Imperial Roll and I'm so happy I did. Nice crunchy, crispy exterior that is just packed with flavor on the inside. The dipping sauce was a little strange but it still tasted delicious! I ordered the California on Fire roll and Tempura Roll and both were delicious! The California on fire is probably my favorite now. Certain rolls are BOGO which is a big plus. My sister ordered some rolls too but I can't even remember what they were because I was so focused on mine. This is an adorable little restaurant that is doing a great job handling COVID as well. This place was recommended to me by so many people that I finally had to try it for myself! When you first walk into the establishment, iPho is filled with some of the most refreshing decor and innovative seating arrangements. I was blown away by Sushi Chef, Sanny's creativity as he mixed it up with the freshest fish (catch of the day), and how he amplified the sushi rolls with tasty ingredients to bring out the textures. Chef Sanny's sushi arrangements and creations is an instagrammers dream and a food critic's paradise. All of the pictures were worthy perfect as I sat at the bar with good lighting, and sipped on hot sake. iPho offers traditional sashimi platters and sushi rolls and put their own twist on it. Who would have imagine eating sashimi in a ball of ice shaped like a bowl that Chef Sanny created. Wow. Chef Sanny creatively crafted and decorated the sashimi in a martini glass overflowing with octopus, kani, yellowtail, and squid sunomomo salad and decorated with thinly sliced cucumber fan art, with a side of fresh wasabi. I would recommend to try the seasonal favorites as well. Sushi Chef, Sanny, really incorporates different things as they go in and out of season (uni, surf clams, sea scallops, salmon, and seared tuna). We also ordered the beef takai, which is a premium-grade tender ribeye steak with infused flavor of ponzu sauce and lime served over a bed of ice on a fresh green banana leaf. Then Chef Sanny tops it with with basil, scallions and shredded carrots. The beef tataki were so fulfilling that we ordered two! Stop by iPho if you're in the Knightdale area, it was definitely worth the drive from North Raleigh. The fish selections changes every day so you'll have to see for yourself what Sushi Chef Sanny has in store for you.
