We started with the Aburi appetizer, torched salmon belly, ooba, salmon roe, Japanese seabream, yuzu kosho, and ponzu, and it was outstanding. Everything worked together perfectly, rich, bright, and balanced. I also ordered ikura and ebi, even though I meant to order ama ebi, but no regrets there. Still excellent. Others in my group ordered ramen. The bowls are generously sized, comparable to what you'd receive when ordering in a Japanese ramen joint. Sono's broth is rich, and their noodles are done the way they should be. I had the opportunity to visit Japan in 2023. Once your order is placed you have to wait ten minutes before you can order more food. There are multiple sushi rolls, chicken wings, soups, hibachi, dumplings, and etc available to order. The only catch is that if you do not eat the rolls you will be charged for them. When came right when the business opened but some of the desserts were listed as being out of stock. All of the food that we ordered was brought out together with some of the items such as the rolls and dumplings on the same plates. We weren't a fan of the miso soup. But everything else was fresh and tasted good. Our server checked on us multiple times. I would come back and try other food options.
