I went yesterday afternoon to see the premier of Mandalorian and Grogu. They freshly painted some areas of the theater. My server once I press the blue button in the center., explain the process the menu, and everything like that. I got the small popcorn and trust me that's enough but free refills. And I got a small beer. The ambience is upscale the bathrooms are very very clean as well as the whole building. There were no kids in that theater, not to say that they can't come. The tickets are reasonable it's $20. They also supply you with a blanket if you get cold. Everyone was very respectful of not talking during the movie. I would recommend this theater..

Date night. 9:30 showing, arrived 9:12, friendly service from entry. I was a little nervous because my man hadn't pre reserved the seats, but we were good (luckily) We were able to get great back row seats. Y'all, I love the intimate seating pods for two so much, But do not go here if you are tired because you will be out like a light. Each seat has a blanky and reclines all the way back. The only drawback, the reclining seat does not have the best head recline experience You either go all the way back or all the way up there is no head up feet out option.. If you recline, you'll be laying all the way back ready to go to sleep, speaking from experience maybe. Anywho, I was able to stay awake through the entire 3 and 1/2 hour movie. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet because it was cheaper to get the bottle than two glasses each. We ordered a large popcorn with some cheddar seasoning. I ordered the Green goddess turkey sliders and they were pretty good! My man ordered the lobster roll, But It was super small for $30. To him it was like a lobster slider. So of course I shared mine with him. Overall, We had a great date night, some good food and good wine. There were only a couple of not so perfect call outs: The upper body recliner laying you all the way back and our food came out before the popcorn. Anywho, We will definitely be back for another movie date night. Cause I need to try the things on that menu.

We love coming to the iPic. The service is always consistent and food is surprisingly tasty. It is a little pricy but I don't mind that. The only downside is the seats are only two in a cubby so it's difficult for my husband and daughter to go at the same time or one of us has to sit alone. The seats are comfortable and recline like you're sitting in your living room. Also get a small throw blanket. Regardless it's our movie theater of choice.

We grabbed a cocktail from the bar and the bartender with the pink hair was the worst. She walked away while I was talking and just was so disdainful and rude about everything but it felt like it was my presence at the bar. Maybe some other stuff was going on for her but dang! Ordered the Ube cocktail and it doesn't taste like anything but bad rum and milk. Don't order it. As someone in the service industry, I always tip even if it's not the best service, but the fact I was forced to tip 18% to this person who obviously wanted nothing to do with me sucked. Top 5 worst bar experiences I've had in Austin.

The popcorn was fresh and tasty! Thank goodness for the blankets as their AC was somehow set to 60 degrees and even with jeans and jacket, I was cold. The service was prompt despite not getting our order accurately but it worked to our favor so no biggie. Let's keep the temperature at least 70 degrees, otherwise a pleasant time.

Having been to o an iPic Theater before, I was really looking forward to experiencing the iPic in Austin. I went to see Paul McCartney's film "One Hand Clapping". The film itself was alright, mostly footage of the band Wings in studio in 1974. However, this review is not about the film but, rather the iPic Theater experience. If you've never been to an iPic Theater, the experience is all about comfort and luxury. In the lobby is full bar serving an extensive array of beverages, alcohol and wine. You can also order from their menu, appetizers, snacks and main meal options. The service is top-drawer, black cloth napkin level. There's also a lounge area to meet up with friends which is very upscale / trendy. I would suggest NOT bringing the wee-little ones, especially if they tend to cry a lot. This is more of a mature venue, a place where you can bring your date to empress or, have an Adult night out. Also NOTE: The theater will ask you to shut off or, silence your cell phones. Please this to be respectful of others. Seating is intimate, most of which are paired in twos with surrounds so you don't have to bump elbows or share the cup holder with strangers. The chairs are clad in leather and recline at the touch of a button. Each seat has a blanket in case you get chilly. There is also a table with a QR code to scan for food and drink options. Hard bound menus are available on request. Then press the call button on your table and a Ninja Server will appear to take your order and serve it to you when it's ready. As mentioned, the decor of this theater is upscale and trendy. Not knowing how long this location has been around some of the seating and decor is beginning to show its wear. Discrete lighting under the bar was drooping down a bit, some of the chairs in the lounge were beginning to show wear on the leather. My date noted, the first restroom she went in was well kept and has plenty of stalls while the restroom on the other side of the lobby near theater 1 & 2 had three stalls and on did not work. The restrooms were otherwise clean. This may seem a bit nit-picky however, at this price point I would expect more. There is free garage parking adjacent to the theater. I did not see or notice if there are charging stations available. Expect to arrive a 30-45 minutes early so you have enough time to enjoy everything this theater has to offer. Hope this helps & I'll see you at the movies.

Everything was so good, especially the crispy spicy tuna rolls! My boyfriend and I are hooked. It was the perfect date!

So when I got invited to a screening last Tuesday for a movie I'd been wanting to see, I jumped at the chance. I was surprised and genuinely impressed by the recent renovations at Regal Gateway. The new reclining seats are super comfortable and fully recline. Each seat also has a rotating lap table with a cup holder, which made it easy to snack without balancing everything in my lap. I also appreciated being able to get in and out of my seat without shimmying past a fixed table. The updated layout gives every seat a great view of the screen too. If you're a Regal Crown Club member, Tuesdays have additional perks. Members get 50% off popcorn, and yes, I absolutely took advantage of that and grabbed a large popcorn. Don't forget the free refills. The only thing missing for me is clarified butter for the popcorn. That would absolutely elevate the experience. There's plenty of parking, the restrooms were clean, and they have a really good adult beverage selection. The staff has consistently been helpful about sharing specials, discounts, and upgrades I can use with my Regal Crown Club credits. I purchased movie tickets through my account as a gift for my brother and his girlfriend to celebrate something special. When they arrived, they were stopped at the concession stand and accused of committing fraud because the tickets were purchased on someone else's account. To be clear, I bought the tickets myself and sent them to them. There was absolutely nothing fraudulent about it. The employee who confronted them handled the situation in a very aggressive and unnecessary way. As an A-List member, I've never been questioned or harassed like this at the front concession stand. It felt like the situation was blown completely out of proportion. Instead of focusing on real issues, my family members were put in an uncomfortable and embarrassing position over tickets that were legitimately purchased. They did speak with the manager, Miguel, who was polite and tried to help, and I appreciate that. However, the situation still wasn't fully resolved and the tickets were not refunded despite the negative experience. AMC needs to make sure employees understand that tickets purchased through an account can be shared with friends or family. Customers shouldn't be accused of fraud for using tickets that were legitimately purchased. This was very disappointing, especially as a loyal A-List member.

You can order food and drinks via a QR code at your seat, which is a nice perk. I chose our seats and in retrospect, I should have selected seats in a higher row. The auditorium did not have a steep incline as I anticipated, however, the seats were fine. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the communal bathrooms, which is the design at the Alamo Drafthouse. The good news is that you have a urinal or restroom option with associated signage. Like all movie theatres, the food and drinks are overpriced. In addition, you have pay a 18% service charge along with a tip. I ordered bottomless popcorn and unsweet tea and paid over $20. Interestingly, the popcorn came in a metal bowl...perhaps a sustainability measure. The popcorn was fresh and buttery. Now for the best part...we went to see the Devil Wear Prada 2. I have had some really amazing experiences here coming to movie screenings over the years. You can order the tickets on the Alamo app but they charge a service fee that was nearly $7 for 3 tickets. So I waited until I got to the theater to purchase the tickets for our group. We went on Tuesday for $7 movie tickets. When someone in our party inadvertently bought an extra ticket, the staff quickly refunded my purchase and transferred the seat. The customer service here is great! The theaters are all upstairs and they have reclining seats. The seats do not recline back as far as I would like, but they are comfortable. We got to pick out our seats when purchasing the tickets. The new phone-based ordering system really takes away from the experience. One of the things that made Alamo special was the easy, low-disruption way of ordering during the movie. Now, having to use your phone feels distracting and honestly a bit inconvenient especially in a dark theater where you're trying to stay immersed in the film. On top of that, the added 18% service charge feels excessive, especially since the level of service has shifted more onto the customer with the new system. It doesn't quite add up. To make matters worse, the food prices have noticeably gone up. I don't mind paying for quality, but with the higher prices, added fees, and a less seamless experience, it just doesn't feel like the same value anymore. I spent nearly $40 for a Parmesan herb popcorn and a watermelon mezcal margarita. That is dinner pricing for movie concessions. I really hope they reconsider some of these changes, because this used to be one of my go-to theaters in Austin. Now I feel like I am being nicked and dimed for every little thing. If you don't close out your bill within 20 minutes, they auto close your tab and add 5% tip on top of the 18% service charge. This is really getting ridiculous and pricing people out.

The new seating is a huge improvement too. The recliners are comfortable, and the tables work well for food and drinks. The online ordering system is also nice because it makes it easy to order exactly what you want, though I do wish there were a few more customization options. Small things like extra ice in a drink, light queso on the fries, or swapping sauces on sandwiches and wraps would go a long way. The fries themselves were great, but the queso made them soggy pretty quickly. I understand keeping the menu streamlined for the kitchen, but at these prices, a little more flexibility would be appreciated. The food overall was good. I was disappointed to learn the cauliflower dish has heat built into the dredge because I had really liked it before, but the wrap I tried this visit was very good. I also miss the rotating special dishes they used to offer since those were always fun to try. The movie experience itself was excellent. Picture and sound quality were great, seating was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. One thing worth mentioning is that we often debate between coming here or going to Cinemark. Cinemark's membership program is honestly hard to beat because it includes tickets and concession discounts, and we've been members for years. We do not live close enough to really benefit from this theater's subscription program, otherwise we would probably join because we genuinely enjoy the experience here.
