Original Lanzhou Beef Noodles (Not Spicy) 兰州清汤牛肉面 (thin noodles)

    - order through QR code - all our orders came out super quick - the noodles (thin specifically) were a little too soggy when they arrived - the soup wasn't the best I've had but it was still flavorful and had a good beef flavor, great spot for a cold rainy day!

DH Noodle in San Jose has become one of those places you think about long after you've left. The star of the menu is absolutely the signature beef noodle soup -- a bowl that tastes like it simmered all day. The broth is deep and savory, the beef is melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender, and the best part is that you can customize your noodle type. Thick, thin, hand‑pulled, knife‑cut -- whatever texture you're craving, they'll make it happen. I went with the thick noodles, and they had that perfect chewy bounce that makes every bite satisfying. The portion is generous without being overwhelming, and the flavors are layered in a way that feels both comforting and crafted with care. perfect chewy bounce Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. Even during busy hours, food comes out steaming hot in minutes. The space is clean, bright, and simple -- exactly what you want from a noodle shop that focuses on doing one thing exceptionally well. clean bright space If you love comfort food with depth, handcrafted noodles, or the joy of tailoring your bowl exactly how you like it, DH Noodle deserves a permanent spot on your rotation.

Solid beef noodle soup spot! Lots of seating indoors. Not the most clean place but eh whatever. Service was fast which was great. My family ordered the regular round noodles but I decided to get the rice noodle...DONT GET THE RICE NOODLE. It was very soggy and didn't soak up the soup. It tasted very watery (the noodles). BUT do get the regular round noodles. They were great!! Chewy and al dente and picks up on the flavor very well. Anyway, would totally come again for lunch!

Overall was not bad and had generous portions. These types of noodle dishes tend to be on the oily side so do keep in mind but flavors were ok. Could use a little more salt in the sauce on the dry noodles but other than that, I'm not mad about it.

**3.5, rounding up. Review is for the chicken and lamb dishes.** Place seems very popular, there were 10 parties ahead of us when we went to dine in on Sunday afternoon. Restaurant is not very large, tableside QR code based ordering system in place like most restaurants these days. I frankly struggle with it as I like to replace the meat in their popular dishes with chicken as that's my protein of choice. Service was indifferent. So we got- **potato spiral- 3.5/5- This was actually pretty delicious, think of it like French fries but much better thanks to the cumin based seasoning. It was very salty though. **chicken noodles- 3.5/5 The fresh noodles were delicious. Not sure if it was cross contamination but there was a mix of thin and thick noodles in the dish. The chicken was soft and beautifully cooked. But, the overall seasoning fell a tad bit short, I was craving flavor and heat. **cumin lamb skewers-3/5 There were tough pieces of lamb. **dry noodles with cumin lamb-4/5 We ordered these with the triangular noodles. The texture was truly fascinating and I could see the sauce holding up really well because of the unique shape. The sauce it came with was delicious and the lamb in this case was soft and well cooked.

I thought this place was decent. It reminded me of Lanzhou ox 9 noodles but with more selections. You could pick your noodles. The staff were attentive as well and were nice. I recommend the braised beef noodle soup. It was flavorful and decently priced for the area.

DH noodles has some pretty standard 拉面! On par with other really good noodles I've had. The chili oil is authentic and super fragrant like it should be! I got takeout this time thru uber eats.

Stopped by as I was craving some beef noodle soup. The noodles were cooked well and the dish also came with tender braised beef and bok choy. I do wish the beef had more of a beef flavor. They have QR codes to order off the menu and the service was pretty quick. Overall, a good experience.

Wanted to add to my review - as I've come back multiple times bringing out of town family and friends and I now have more favorite dishes!! Their lamb dry noodles with the triangular noodles! HUGH HIT with EVERYONE we bring - the triangular noodles are perfect with that delicious sauce with all that delicious cumin flavor... We also got the lamb skewers!! SO GOOD - so tender with SO MUCH flavor!! Their cold spicy cucumbers are also now a huge hit with family - if you like having that "heat" against the cold crunchy of the cucumber - this is a dish for you!! And another dish we tried was their spicy sesame paste noodles. Oldest loved it - for me it was okay - I think my taste buds got used to the bold flavors and texture of the dry lamb noodles - definitely our go to! In fact my BIL was contemplating getting another "to go" so he'd have it when he went back up the peninsula LOL... LOVE LOVE this place - definitely my noodle "go to" place!

Great, authentic food. There was a long wait when we tried to eat lunch here on a Sunday. I shared a noodle dish, lamb skewers, and chili oil fries with my boyfriend and I loved the food we got. Everything was well seasoned and cooked. The lamb skewers are really good. The interior was clean and well decorated.

I am so glad I got to finally try out this place. Every time I visit HMart, the pictures of the food on the window seems so attractive. I am very happy to have visited and try this place with my partner. The restaurant has plenty of seating on the weekend with lovely decorations that resemble of Chinese legends from the inside. Their menu has a vast selection of items that can be obtained through the QR Code. The place is spotless and is welcoming to families with kids. Even the kids enjoy the food here. I bought the braised beef noodles. The food preparation was 10 minutes. They have different noodle types you can get. The flat noodles were okay, but if I were to go here again, I think the thin noodles would taste better. Thank you for the amazing food and fast service. I'll definitely come here again!

I was quite hesitant to try it at first since I'm not a big fan of beef noodles, but I was pleasantly surprised when I came here. The beef noodles are chewy, and the broth is rich and flavorful. The other dishes besides noodles are also satisfying. Original Lanzhou Beef Noodle - 4/5: The noodles are particularly chewy, feeling like they were hand-pulled. The broth is slightly milky, rich, and delicious. Pork Hamburger - 5/5: The shredded pork inside is tender and juicy, while the outer bun is slightly crispy. The only downside is the small portion size. Lamb Kebab - 4/5: The lamb is perfectly balanced between fatty and lean meat, generously coated with cumin and other spices. Every bite is filled with the rich aroma of lamb. Dh Lamb Pilaf - 5/5: I absolutely love this lamb pilaf. The rice seems to include carrots, raisins, and cumin, which enhance the rich, fragrant lamb flavor and make it irresistible. The accompanying lamb on the bone is cooked until tender and falling off the bone, loved by both adults and children. The shredded potato side dish is also quite good. I will definitely visit again next time to try other dishes.

A fun interactive experience & authentic freshly made noodles of multiple shapes. We got in close to closing around 30 min and service was prompt/friendly we ordered the noodles and got the thickest noodles, they were all thoroughly cooked which is usually the hardest part. Flavors were good & customizable spicy options. There is a bit of a kick so be mindful of this. The affordability is good too portions were large! We didn't get a chance to eat the beef scallion wrap but hear that's a good option too.

    Lamb ribs - highly recommend

I do wish they had a soup option for vegetarians but it's pretty hard to get a good veggie broth so it's understandable. what we got: cucumber salad (5/10 yums): I think the reason why I rate this so low is because of preference. I almost always get cucumber salad at restaurants. However, this cucumber salad was just a tad bit bland and had WAY too much cilantro. We arrived around 12:30pm, and were seated immediately at the corner of the communal table. Service was bare minimal but efficient. We ordered via a QR code, and helped ourselves to the water already at the table. There's a self-serve sauce bar near the entrance as well. The restaurant wasn't too big inside and there was a short line outside while we're there. The line went away pretty quickly, though. Food came out within 10 minutes after placing our order. I had their Signature Free Range Chicken Big-bus Miishien Soup for the "crossing the bridge noodles" experience. The broth was piping hot and very flavorful. I put all the fixings and noodles into the broth except the cashew nuts and the chicken, which I put in right before I was about to eat them. The chicken was very lean and tender. I even ate the skin as there's no fat attached to it. I also loved the texture of the noodles. The mushroom was great, just too little of it. I wish they had used corn ribs or another vegetable as the corn kernels were very hard to fish from the broth. While it was a delicious and satisfying bowl of noodles, the "Big-bus" version was a bit overpriced. Our daughter liked her Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup (Less Spicy), especially how the mini Chinese donuts soaked up the broth. I had a bit of her broth and ground pork, and it was yummy with just a bit of numbing spininess. We both liked their pickles from the sauce bar and at the table. My husband enjoyed his Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup with free extra miishien as well. After selecting Checkout on Chowbus, payment was done via a staff who came by. I signed up for their rewards program when I ordered, and got 10% off. I would love to come back and try their spicy beef noodles. I noticed a promo sign outside the restaurant for some of their noodle dishes (@$12.99) from Monday to Thursday, during specific hours.

It was solid, with good noodles, generous amount of pork, some fish cakes, veggies, and an egg. The broth was good, but not top tier. The egg, though, was hard boiled and didn't have a soft center, which I like. That seemed like a bit of a shortcut to be honest.
