Response to business' reply: First off, I never said anyone personally offered me a discount for a perfect five-star review. I said the store offers CUSTOMERS. Plus, no one needed to physically say anything. There's a list of all the different discount offers depending on the platform the customer gives the social media review on (e.g., Facebook, Yelp) at the counter right in front of where the customer is sitting, which again, is an unethical business practice, especially if the business isn't transparent (and lies when confronted) about it. Second, no one offered me anything at no cost. You would've thought that the customer before me who got into a large argument with the owner would have gotten his repair fix for free the second time, but no, his card was charged at the end. No one gave me any offers or any solution to my problem. I don't have much time on the weekends, so I didn't want to run around to another repair store, so I was the one who asked first to get it repaired again WITH PAY and that's when the owner told me it was really busy today and I had to pick it up on Monday (I'm not in town during the weekends) and that's when I left. So it's a nice try with customer service, replying to users on Yelp and only offering me free service AFTER I damaged the business' false image, but if you're full of lies, why even try? read more

My phone has been cracked for 2 months and after cutting and bruising my poor fingers (and the agony of not seeing clearly what i was posting on instagram) I decided to finally get it fixed. I went to a few places and the average price that they gave me was $150 plus i had to leave my phone there for a day. I decided instagram could wait...until by brother cracked his phone as well and found PCS HQ near his house. I got my iphone cover fixed for $100 and LCD screen for $20 and it took less then 20 minutes. The person who fixed my phone (the owner i think?) told me he already repaired 30 phone covers that day. It seems like it was a family business and everyone was very friendly. They give you a stamp card and if you get 3 repairs they give you 15% off the third repair. They know what they are doing and seem to go out of their way to get parts or accessories that your individual phone may need. Anyway I got my phone and my friend's phone and mine fixed in a matter of minutes. They are open until 7pm weeknights. I also got a temper glass cover for my phone. I love it. its supposed to withstand a beating even from a hammer (they showed me a clip on youtube) well worth the money in my opinion and it makes your screen so clear! This place is horrible. Very unfriendly, even though I called ahead and explained clearly what needed to be done, when I got there, he told me he needed to do more than what was discussed, saying he needs to charge much more than what he quoted me on the phone. It was a simply putting back the cover. What a crook! I will never go back to this place. Maybe it was just the wrong guy when I went but he was trying to charge me for everything. He couldn't even fix the problem, I actually did the fixing myself while I was there. I basically paid him money to use his tweezer for 5 minutes. Still he managed to charge me 35 bucks for it. Went here to fix my iPhone 5 screen that wasn't responding to touch, they changed it and paid $100 to repair it. They were kind people, friendly to me and my little daughter, said they do quality control tests when they fix stuff. Screen was working fine after that, they had to change like 3 screens for it to work. Later that night noticed the camera wouldn't focus on text close up, which I never had issues with before (since I use it often). Went back the next day hoping they would be just as kind and take responsibility since clearly camera wasn't working, they said it wasn't their fault and would charge me another $50 to repair that camera. Didn't replace the camera, don't want to give this place more business since it seems to be their responsibility. They wouldn't even give a discount or try to help us out. Charlie answered and gave me the flat rate of $59 (which is so far the lowest price I have come upon) and politely insisted I come see him. When I went in to get my iphone fixed for the 2ND time (Yeah, I'm clumsy) Charlie greeted me with a friendly demeanor and stopped what he was doing to assess the damage on my phone. He pointed out exactly what was wrong and promised me a 30 min. time frame. When I came back he was a lot less happy than when I first came to him. Why? Because he was upset he had not been able to hit the 30 min. deadline and it was only because the person who had "fixed" my iphone the first time had done such a shoddy job he had to replace some things that had been taken out and never put back in. He explained every detail as to the mistakes that were made from the first repair and what he did differently this time around to make my phone the best it could be. After all the extra work and parts he had to put back into it he still insisted only the original $59 flat rate as he had initially promised. He EVEN noticed I had found him on Yelp and went out of his way to apply the discount that is offered if you use their ad. He also insisted that I get a better cover for my phone (smart guy) and helped me pick one out, that was also very affordable for being a fashionable, heavy-duty case that now protects my phone from a rock slide if it should ever happen. I'm mesmerized. I'm watching as Jason nonchalantly peruses his set of unique phone hardware for just the right tool. In a matter of seconds and with a surgeon's precision he quickly and meticulously deconstructs my iphone, removing countless microscopic screws which he lays out neatly in front of him. You know, I thought I was going to have a bad experience here. I got my screen repaired and during the repair the technician poked my battery with something, sparks and smoke came out of it. I was obviously disconcerted, but he put some special tape on it and assured me it should be fine. It ended up not being fine, while charging my phone it got so hot that I couldn't touch it without burning myself. Then suddenly my phone stopped working. I knew it had to do with the battery being poked. I went in the next day, after leaving a message saying I was going to come in, so they already knew why I was there. They were so helpful and fixed it, gave me a new battery, and had me on my way in under ten minutes. Charlie is a miracle worker to say the least! I searched up many places to take my LG Thrill phone that had a very badly cracked screen. Many places I called seemed shady, they only offered cash payment, wanted to keep the phone overnight, would take days to fix, etc. In one of the calls that I made to Charlie, he laid it down and told me he only needed to see the phone to order the part. I walked in on a Monday morning and he was already swamped with phones to fix, he had at the very least 5 customers waiting for him. I tend to be impatien, however, I had him keep the phone, it didnt bother me much, then came back to pick up later. Even though he didnt have my phone fixed, he offered to let me borrow a loaned phone while he caught up in other phone repairs he had. I was totally amazed and happy to finally get my phone back! I like to think of myself as a Google-aficionado who can do anything with a youtube video and the right supplies, but when my Samsung Galaxy S4 screen was destroyed after being dropped AND stepped on, I turned to PCS after doing a quick cost and time analysis of getting it repaired versus attempting it myself. My family lives in the area, but I've been in Michigan the last three years and didn't have the time to order the parts and hope they arrived before I got back on the plane to go back. Oh, and I would've been phoneless for a week. All of my techy friends said to just buy a new phone or one off of Craigslist because the cost to repair wouldn't be worth it, but if you go to PCS HQ, it is DEFINITELY WORTH IT! Not only do they have the best pricing (I called around several places for quotes), but they have AWESOME service! Charlie explained what happened to my phone display and why it wasn't functioning -- what? Someone who is servicing you AND explaining why he's doing what he's doing so you don't have one pulled over your head? Yup. I like to know what's going on, so I was really pleased when my questions were answered. Charlie even replaced a screw that my dad had lost when he had taken my phone backing off to try and see what was up. It sucks to have your phone damaged, but I'm not too freaked about it anymore after discovering the quality service that PCS HQ provides. After your visit, you leave with a business card that will get you 5% off the next phone repair. And if you're unfortunate enough to have your phone die on you in one way or another a THIRD time, there's even a 15% off punch on the card, too! You can even share it with your mom, your friend, the random stranger on the street! I don't think I've ever seen a place have over 200 reviews and still average out at 5 stars! I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for, but the $149 I paid to have my screen, LCD, and digitizer replaced gave me more than just a fixed phone. Really helpful and great customer service. I've come here twice, once was years ago to fix my cracked iphone 5 screen. It was fixed in front of me within 15-30 minutes. I came back last week to get my iphone 7+ screen fixed. Charlie helped me and fixed it in front of me pretty quickly in about 20 minutes or so. I went to PCS HQ to get my iPhone 3GS unlocked and jailbroken because I have T-Mobile. I have done this before by taking it to other people/places, but I knew PCS HQ would do the best job after my phone started to lag heavily and go in and out of service. I also needed to improve my battery because it wasn't holding a charge. At first something was wrong with my phone so they had to take it overnight to work on it further. It ended up being the person who unlocked my phone previously had very much messed up the software of the phone and Jason and Charlie had to go through much trouble and time to finally find out what the problem was. After a couple more visits, a few days, and a couple phone calls later, they finally figured out what the problem was. They were at a point where they had never seen a problem like this, but they kept working on it no matter what. It's that type of persistence which makes a customer feel "taken care of." They truly went the extra-mile to fix my truly "unfixable" iPhone. I recommend PCS HQ to everyone with whatever phone troubles they have. My iphone Power button has been broken for over a year. I Finally decided to get it fixed when my iphone crashed and could only be reset with the power button. My friend recommended PCS HQ, and I am so glad I came here. The Owner was in and greeted me right when I walked in. He was helping someone else, but as soon as he was done, he got right to work with mine. He is a really nice and funny guy. Watching him fix it was like watching surgery on a cell phone lol. He was so quick, gentle, and organized . It's crazy how many screws and buttons and chips fit in this small iphone! Just as he promised, he was done in less than 30 mins. Best Service Ever! My daughter's ipod cracked and I stumbled onto this place through... where else...yelp! They truly deserve the 5 Stars every one has been giving. The owner is so funny and sweet. I work in LA everyday and was barely going to make it before the store closed. I gave him a call and asked if he would be willing to wait. He told me not to worry and take my time because he will wait until I got there. When I arrived, he suggested a case that protects the front to prevent it from happening again and asked his son to give me a front cover for the screen. His son did such a good job that you can't even tell it was there (No air bubbles!), the guy was a pro. After chit chatting a little, he told me that is was his 24 year Anniversary in the same store. So, with a price comparison, they are a bit on the higher end, but they get it done fast (and they gave me free tempered glass! No other place has done that for me!). Seriously. I gave it three stars because I'm not happy with the installation. If the installation was done correctly without any faults, I'd have given them 5 stars. They are one of the quickest repair jobs out there within 30 minutes and the best part is, they do it in front of you. The cost is also average price for the screen at $189. Being on a business trip with limited time, I didn't have time to be picky and needed to get on with my day and quick turn around time was top priority. I am in the area often for work and family, so lets see if they care to fix their error regarding this Installation: The screen is slightly raised above the framing of the phone. The front facing camera is is also half functioning now, the top half of the photo is black. The notification light is also half covered. This is because he didn't make sure to have them correctly in place when gluing the screen back. Upon inspection prior to payment I brought the function of the frontal camera up and the guy told me "You should have told me before". I'm sorry I had to tell you/remind you how to correctly do your job. This is something he should be aware of when replacing screens in this day and age, this isn't the first ever phone with a frontal camera. Worst part is he refused to fix it. He said if he tried fixing it the screen would crack again, really not my problem, that's his installation problem. I didn't have time to argue. I was there with two children. First time to PCS to replace my iPhone 5s LCD screen yesterday. - BEST PRICING I did my research on repair options at Staples and other PCS similar stores (with hundreds of 5-star yelp reviews, near Brea). PCS was the CHEAPEST! Although Staples provides a 1-year warranty, it is more expensive and does not cover damages from accidents. He provided OPTIONS - new or refurbished LCD w/ frame, both 90-day warranty. Cracked the back glass of my iPhone XS Max. Apple will charge you some crazy ridiculous price around $399. Found PCS HQ off yelp and will forever come here for all my repairs. Made an appt same day, Charlie explained the process of how they were going to fix the glass. They use a machine laser to precisely cut off the glass. Most places I've gone will just break it off which takes forever. Charlie told me it would take 2-3 hrs because they were a little backed up and he held his promise. Had they not been busy he probably could've done it in an hr. $99 plus tax, had my back glass fixed in a day. Quality work and excellent customer service.
