I found this place on Instagram while scrolling last weekend. Most salons in Chino Hills overcharge for custom gel manicures, but the pricing here actually makes sense for the high quality you get. My technician was Fast & Professional, which is great because my Saturdays are packed. They used a clean cuticle nipper and a modern UV lamp (the pink one at station three). I came in for a gel color change after not loving my nails from another salon, and at first I was really happy with how they turned out. Unfortunately, the top coat started peeling after just two days. I reached out and the staff was very kind, apologetic, and offered to redo my nails, which I appreciated. The redo looked great again, but sadly the top coat started coming off a few days later again. While I appreciated the great customer service and how nice the nails looked initially, I was disappointed with the longevity of the gel. read more

I went to get a set of small almond nails and they charged me $100 and besides the horrible pricing the quality was terrible , the bows on my nails already came off and so did the charms that they charged me a lot of extra for . I came in wanting an ombré gel manicure - ombré manicures take awhile to get the blend right, and after working on my nails for an hour, Jessica could sense that I wasn't satisfied with the design. She offered to redo my gel manicure in another style (nude + pearls) and spent an additional hour to ensure that I walked out happy. Well, I honestly did not think this place was going to be great at first, but I was proved wrong. When I first saw the nail menu I thought the prices were a bit pricy, however, now I understand why their prices are high. I originally came in to get a gel manicure with a regular pedicure, but Ana my nail technician mentioned dip powder would look great on my nails. Therefore, I ended up going with what she suggested. This was my first time getting dip powder and I was amazed on how beautiful my nails came out. I ended up spending $86 for a dip powered manicure with a regular pedicure. The acrylic nails as seen in the picture show the unevenly spread and unevenly shaped. HAD THE WORST EXPERINCE HERE ! Two days later 6 nails fell off , but that wasn't the worst part they wanted to charge me to fix their nails that fell right off after a day ! The lady said "ya okay" then she said 5 dollars more to remove gel, then she said she couldn't do the full manicure because my nails won't let the gel stick. She said something about the water will peel off my nails. She recommend powder and told me it will be 12 dollars more. The gel I choose was another 5 dollars more because it's better quality ! She still did not perform the manicure as I asked and did it her way, she charged 5 dollars to remove gel from my feet. Did not get my manicure., she still charged me for it 112 dollars later. I've been here twice so far and I think I found my new go-to nail salon -- my first time was March 27, I made an appointment on a Sunday for a gel manicure (the picture of the purple pattern) and I left feeling pretty satisfied (I forgot how much I paid for this one, I think in the $40s?). The great part was that the gel lasted perfectly fine up until my next appointment with this salon, didn't chip at all except for my index tip BUT that was on me because I jammed my finger at work, so I'm sure it would've been perfectly fine otherwise. I came back this past Sunday (walk-in) to replace my nails w a new design and this was the session that left me really impressed! Mandy did an amazing job executing the design I showed her I wanted, I'm obsessed. Since this was a time consuming design + to compensate for the extra gems she placed on them, this time I paid $52 and I tipped $8, so $60 total. They accept card, and I left a tip via card, but they did tell me cash is preferred for tip. Can't wait to come back :) read more

I'm a former happy customer of Iridescent Lounge but unfortunately, their nail techs have gone down hill. If I'm going to spend $100, before tipping, I expect the quality and service to be acceptable. I requested a new, full set of acrylic nails after I was told no one was available to provide me with the usual dipping powder I preferred. The pedicure was amazing but my nails looked horrible. The technician used a set which was too large for my nail beds. When I pointed out I thought they were too big she said she would file them. The end result never looked okay. I went in again today to have the acrylics removed and I asked for a fresh set of nails with dipping powder. I asked for a different technician which I was assured I would be provided. When the nail tech emerged, it was the same person as before. I declined to have a new set put on and requested the old set be soaked off. The nail tech chose to try to take them off using a nail tip instead of soaking them off. The process was extremely painful and blood was drawn. She repeatedly explained it was because my nails were soft. I repeated I wanted them soaked off but no move was made to accommodate me. I asked the technician to stop. So disappointed I am a returning customer I have been going there for 2 yrs now I haven't been there in about 3/4 months but the way I was treated today by the nail lady was extremely disappointing and embarrassing. It's bad and hard enough that we already can't understand you guys when you are talking in your language and I'm not shutting that down but when someone asks you nicely to do something and explains to you how they want it there is no need to talk shit about it in your language and I know this because you made it extremely noticeable to the point where I said something to her and the manager on shift today. I was getting a gel manicure and i have been doing my nails for years and I know enough to know that cuticles is part of a manicure and I felt little parts of my skin sticking out and saw little ones too even after she finished painting my nails but by that point I gave up. She seriously looked at me and gave me a stupid chuckle like "lady what are you talking about" and I had to show her and guide her and that is fine but not when one is being laughed at with a stupid laugh. I'm not normally this harsh or mean but it was enough already the manager said r u sure and I said there is no need for it to be a big deal that I asked for my cuticles to be cleaned up that's part of what I am paying for it's not an extra cost if it is specify it please. By this point I was irritated I even saw the lady that did my pedicure and the manager talking and laughing about it and when she saw me she stopped completely disrespectful! But I guess that's allowed there as the manager did it to: when I was leaving she just gave me my total didn't even explain to me what I was being charged as they usually do she didn't ask me to sign she just gave me the pen didn't say thank you or good bye none of them did.. This was a first time visit on Tue 12/27 9:30am. With the location being in The Shoppes at Chino Hills, I thought it would be nice to treat my two daughters to pedicures and full set before the new year. Unfortunately, the acrylics were painfully done. They cut up their cuticles and were bleeding. They complained how painful and very sensitive their fingers were. One daughter works with her hands and is still complaining. Now that my daughters went back to Chicago, there's no way to compensate for the poor service these nail techs gave. As friendly as the front desk person was, it wasn't enough to put a good review. My daughters felt they were given airpod cases to make-up for the poor service they knew they gave. The pedicure was no issue, so maybe they should make sure the nail techs really know how to do acrylics before booking. After spending $238, this was not worth it.
